    Finally finished Book 2 still have over half the bags left to go. The rock base structure build is so amazingly engineered definitely next level build experience.

    Agreed on “next level build”. I built Bilbo’s House after Rivendell and aside from the front window it was like a juniors set in comparison. Wait until you join all the sections together into a whole. It really is impressive the engineering that went into such an aesthetically pleasing model. I especially like the staircase in the main hall. Warning that the roof tiles over the main hall are more tedious than the first section.

    Anyone else sick of the “lifestyle environment” product photos? This one especially looks fake. That little telescope on the shelf won’t see anything beyond the neighbors house. The Peter Pan model almost looks cgi

    I've held onto one remaining 79003 in box for the day I ever got around to building it. However after seeing your comparison along with the increase the set is now going for now. I'm probably going to end up selling it. I couldnt put these two beside one another after seeing this. Maybe one day we'll get an updated model.

    Man, I'm saving money left and right today. First that Little Mermaid set, and now this. I predict perma-discounts in the future of this one. I guess we should applaud TLG for trying new things...I just wish they ran them past me first.

    I am still on the Gazebo which is amazing, just no building time lately, so best build ever? I don’t do any Technic and have not built any of the $600+ SW UCS sets, but know you did the UCS AT-AT, this set has top 3 potential for me so far.
