  1. what a dud this set is - can't even crack 2x msrp at this point, barely over 2x the permasale price. 83 sellers? this far out? ugh. wish i yabba dabba didn't send my money on vacation "investing" in this set. imperial tie fighter helmet looks at this set and just shakes its head laughing quietly inside that dark helmet with dollar bills falling out the bottom.
  2. I'm not surprised this did poorly. The show does not resonate with anyone younger than 40. Mostly forgotten. The set was kinda weak too. No Dino & the car sucked. I would have cracked one open to get a Dino fig.
  3. Finally tested negative for COVID today after 14 days of testing positive Three family members healthy now, one to go after two weeks of it. It was a Christmas to remember, or forget.
  4. sold 2x more in less than 24 hours at $260 - i had to raise the price. the greed is strong with this one 🤑 🤑 🤑
  5. Good to hear! I tested positive week before Christmas, out of action for a week. Daughter got sick for a couple days right around Christmas. Then wife got Covid the following week as mine was clearing up. Wife finally tested negative a couple days ago, and now kids are back to school. Literally all we did was isolate from each other all winter break. The Love It part is that my dad who is 69 did not get covid (knock on wood) while seemingly the rest of us or most of us did.
  6. Scooby-Doo also has more recent new content, unlike a lot of the other cartoons we watched as kids.
  7. Millennials know Seinfeld, it's 90s. What was Flintstones, 60s? I would guess Seinfeld gets more streams than Fred and Barney. It ain't Friends but it's not forgotten. That set should do ok. Hey Target you can go ahead and put it on sale already 😑
  8. I mean, they literally brought back Saturn V and Ship in a Bottle.
  9. i watched flintstones growing up as a kid along with scooby doo and jetsons. they all kind of fall in the same group in my mind though flintstones is oldest. scooby doo was a great investing theme unfortunately short lived. i think i had cocoa pebbles on the brain when i thought this was going to make it to $140-150 in 2 years post eol buy in at $44
  10. Amazon ran out of stock on Bad batch finally Would be great if it is gone for good with Season 2 starting in 2 days. One can hope
  11. One of the inherent advantages that many of us here have is that our knowledge of the secondary market doesn't start in 2019/2020 like so many of the new "investors" out there. I chuckled at a lot of the "common wisdom" that I saw so many expert-in-their-own-minds spout on Facebook groups and elsewhere over the last year. Like how the Walmart Black Friday brick boxes were quite possibly one of the dumbest things to buy because (a) there were no minifigures, (b) there is nothing "collectible" about them, (c) there were so many available on Black Friday, etc., etc....or that Duplo is a complete waste of time because it's just made for kids. I suspect that there are quite a few people who stocked up on Grand Hotel, but probably not as many as stocked up on Batwing, the Star Wars 3-set combo pack at Walmart, classic Batmobile, or any of the other of the handful of sets that all of the newbies were chasing this year. I went heavy on both the Grand Hotel and Shopping Mall as well as long list of sets that I never saw mentioned a single time by any of the newly-minted experts.
  12. story takes a turn for the not so feel good. https://www.nytimes.com/2023/01/03/business/devils-slide-cliff-car-california.html
  13. This might be my favorite return reason Melinda, it's hard to get it there in time for Christmas when you place the order Christmas morning. Thankfully the other person she ordered it from on Christmas morning was able to send it via DeLorean. On the bright side it was successfully delivered December 29th.
