  1. Honestly, when people posted this set I was really confused why you'd buy this 😕 I grew up with space sets and the weird animatronics sets. Having pulled those out of my parents place a few years ago I realized they sucked in comparison to the new Lego themed sets and designs. I'd rather build a star wars ship and I don't even like star wars. I think the space ship gets retired next year.

I keep a box cutter handy and just pull them out of the box and drag the cutter across them as they come out. Reuse them to ship out fragile items/ items that need filler.

sounds like a trend you should start on Tik Tok or whatever you young hippies are into these days

  5. Curious how long it will take for Lego to cave and put the castle on discount?!

I used to use a razer blade to pop them all and would recycle them. Then one day the people at the dump "caught me" trying to recycle them. Told me these absolutely cannot be recycled and will ruin loads of recyclable material. I now just bag em and dump them. I have a few coat hangers in which I keep 4-5 bags available for shipping needs. Some industrial places have paper shredders for packaging material. My dream is to own one, one day.

Try heating up an old screwdriver with a lighter? I always thought that could wipe out hundreds in less than a minute but never tried it.

I bag them in big leaf bags and re-use them when I ship.
  9. Gotta build or at least see it in person to appreciate how good the value really is in 2022 LEGO dollars...even at the full $100 price, imo. For $50 it's an amazing toy.
  10. Wow is this that slow to sell? So much for nostalgia.
  11. If you are in the market, apparently this is a thing. I noticed a bunch of at my Walmart today, but still $75.
  12. For the ones in string, you can probably line them up in front of you car tires then slowly drive forward. Probably won't work if you drive a Smart Car though....
  13. Now I don't feel so bad about the air pillows that I've thrown away from time to time over the years.
  14. eBay will force the return and automatically refund you a few days after the item shows as delivered. As long as you selected "Item not as described" or "Inauthentic" you have nothing to worry about.
  15. If you still have the air bags in long chains, set up a plastic resin table or something else you don't mind getting scratched up. Then, put a box cutter through the first bag in the chain to pop it, but angle it down so it sticks in the table or is sitting close to it and then pull the chain of bags through the blade. You need the blade to be really sharp, but this is the easiest way that I found to break them down easily. The other thing I've done is bag them up in 70 gallon yard bags from Home Depot and take them to my local UPS Store. They're always happy to take them.
  16. thanks. not bad. I prefer my current system which is filing a huge box with them to keep them in one place horizontally. Pile them 3 feet high. And then i stomp away. Still tedious tho. methinks ultimately kids are best solution. win win for all involved.
  17. I trash most of mine and use a box cutter or knife to pop them all.
  18. A few more new sets 30% off... https://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Friends-Trailer-Building-Pieces/dp/B09XSRFG7P?ref_=Oct_DLandingS_D_8b8b3f5e_121&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER https://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Animals-Building-Toddlers-Preschool/dp/B09XSM7VT7?ref_=Oct_DLandingS_D_8b8b3f5e_124&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER OT WARNING... Kohl's has shoes up to 70% off, so I bought my daughter 9 pairs and I found a $139 sports coat for $21 (mismarked per the store manager, but let me buy it anyway). After $10 off $50 and 20% discount it was $14, + KC coming. Lots of clearance items there tend to be unmarked.
  19. Phenomenal price considering retirement and success of series Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  21. Worst buy of alltime. I loathe the Treehouse. I will never spend another dollar on that set, I am stacked deep and have held onto this pos for 2 years. Trust me this set is stacked super deep. The Treehouse hysteria was insane.
  22. Thanks for sharing. I like it but don't love it. Will need to decided if I'm going to keep or sell!
  23. First Unboxing out. The glaring omission of review of the playability of this set tells us what we need to know, namely, there isn't much of it. I wont give this my HS and Vidiyo treatment/rating - I'll put this somewhere in between QE/Stadiums & T2 instead.
  24. Lord Bezos in his infinite wisdom had graciously granted you 10 fewer days than the original announced dates (10/7 - 12/31). Kneel and kiss his rings you peasants !!!
