  2. I've gotten more inquiries from friends about this line than any other Lego anything ever. A friend got a six pack and asked me yesterday what the best route to getting the other six was. I told her about smooshing... Then just told her I'd grab the six she was missing next time I found them in store. Luckily I remembered that when I found myself in a Walmart last night. Her response when I told her I got them:
  3. This round has many great sets (but crazy high priced) - it will be interesting to see which ones don't make it. I figure that the diner, train station, and winter chalet are locks. The waterfall (while cool) likely not, The construction same thing, the space seems kinda dull to me (but there are tons of crazy space theme fans, so might do well). the western one is good, but whether the previous western saloon holds it back, I don't know. The observatory, and steampunk are both excellent (but will the high prices effect those making it?).
  4. Lmao To this day, I still giggle when I hear the name “Timmy”, our Child Fan of Lego. Do you guys have a naming convention for the typical AFOL that occasionally gets swindled by a QFLL? For some reason “Larry” is coming to mind… https://www.bricklink.com/v3/designer-program/support/main.page

  9. Cool sets. Still my best investment on these sets has been the Lowenstein castles. I still think that is the best one yet.
  10. "So, in my estimation, this is not just the greatest LEGO set ever, but also possibly the greatest toy ever created"
  11. TBB accidentally leaked this early.
  12. One of our winners is from St. Paul School. What's cool is that they donated some of the sets that they won!
  13. I've seen pretty consistent rumors that the promotion will start on May 16th.
  14. Looks pretty good, and about a million times better than that Kreo Transformers crap. I only lament that we'll never see a G1 Megatron like this.

  19. Round 1 sets still “backordered” shipping June but they want more money next week: https://www.bricklink.com/v3/designer-program/introducing.page
  20. I got email saying they expected shipment this week, so hopefully we'll get them in hand by next week?
  21. The BesKar keychain looks and feels great. Not sure if it will break if you use it but it has a solid feel to it. I’m not a Keychain person but I may keep this one.
  22. target exclusive carnage 76199 on sale $47.99 - 20% off. https://www.target.com/p/lego-marvel-spider-man-carnage-building-kit-76199 brickseeek also showing this in store for same price but haven't tested it out yet. this will be like imperial tie fighter helmet post eol.
  23. You know when the step calls for x39 identical single studs then the next step is x177 clear flat top pieces, you realize why the piece count is so high. Yes, I began building this set this morning. The base was virtually the same as the DS trench run diorama in style so it went together quickly, then I hit bag 2 and 3 with hundreds of single squares and circles. Fun factor died, have to take a break.
