Imagine bypassing the deals you dislike, or dont think are a deal, and moving on with your life without complaining to the internet about it.

That sucks man. We made dog food for a couple of our dogs for the last several years of their lives. Rice, hamburger, peas, carrots, peanut butter, eggs, and sometimes my wife would put pumpkin in it. It didn't keep as well with the pumpkin, too much moisture would cause it start molding in the fridge. Anyway, we left the kids with a babysitter and told her that there was food in the refrigerator for the kids. Well, she ended up heating up the dog food and feeding it to everyone, including herself, until one of my children finally asks "Is this the dogfood?" It was the version with pumpkin, so it probably tasted funny even if it wasn't rotten. We got a text asking if we kept dog food in the refrigerator....we still get a pretty good laugh about that.

So this is what I've spent the last month doing. Plus I did a mini remodel of a bathroom last weekend, and put up a lot more shelving for LEGO. Lego or woodwork - I guess I'm just addicted to building stuff! https://youtu.be/iWLxLSz8R4Y

Thanks for the heads up! My son's name is Logan, and he collects everything Wolverine. This is a literal day one purchase for us, and getting it shipped out as soon as it's available is fantastic. And since it's a $10 set, I don't sweat the RRP cost. Not worth it to wait out for a 20% (or more) discount to save $2.

Two of my favorite con exclusives.

41498 Boba Fett (#27) and Han Solo in Carbonite (#28) - 2017 New York City Comic Con Exclusive 2-pack Brickheadz #27 and #28, the only two exclusive BHz to be part of the numbering scheme. Pretty similar to the regular release of 41629 Boba Fett, with a slightly more rounded face. Of course, the coolness factor here is Han in Carbonite. This set was only available as a raffle giveaway at NYCC in 2017, but I remember hearing of people being able to go up and buy them on the final day. So plenty were to be had. There are 9 printed parts in this set. 6 were only available in this set: Three more parts were also available in the 41629 Boba Fett release (but no where else): I do have PDFs of the instructions for each of these two sets, where someone painstakingly took photos of each page. I definitely regret not picking up a second Boba Fett general release BHz, so I could get those parts. Inventory is up in all the usual places, but I haven't even begun to BL these two. Luckily, there is a sticker creator in the UK who has done an excellent job replicating the printed parts as stickers. I just received my order from Ultimate Collector Stickers last week, and I'm impressed. Unlike the original SDCC Brickheadz, I never found any knockoff versions of these. As I will discuss later, I will embrace knock off versions if that's the only means available to obtain a printed version of a part...but only for the printed part.

Store Opening Brickheadz There have been a grand total of five special "store opening" Brickheadz. Three of these were released at LEGO Store openings in China, the other two at store openings in Europe. For the most part, these are all the same, but the Hangzhou one is a slightly different design. The only real difference on the others is the color of the pants (blue vs red). You can find a parts list on Rebrickable. I've not seen anyone reproduce the "I <heart>" city sticker for the front, and for my own building, I don't really care. Instructions have been difficult to come by; I've never actually seen the instructions for any of these. Best I've found is some pictures of the construction of the Cologne set, by Stonewars (see below). There is a video on Youtube for building the Cologne set as well. I also haven't started to Bricklink these yet, and haven't even decided if I'm going to do them all, or just have one that represents them all. The "I <heart> Cologne" came as a sticker, and not a printed piece, and was limited to 1,000 sets all together. Just because the set is not a "deal" for you, does not mean it is not a deal for someone else. We cover many types of deals on this thread. People should be able to see the posts and judge if those are deals based on their standards and or needs

This is rough and the size of the T-Rex in front of the big gate is exaggerated (proportionally) but this gives you an idea of scale. I made the palms on the small set match the scale of the gate. Will pair nicely and should drive demand for T. Rex Rampage set and value. d

Yes. You are missing the fact this thread is the most often looked at, and many would miss the pre-order if not for this. (I would have). Now, if the pre-order is up for the next two weeks, then you would be right.

I also enjoy the deals posts. Even off topic posts are entertaining. I didn’t think I would see the day someone would throw around their one year of posting as “experience” im pretty excited for some of the new releases. I don’t usually like paying full price on toys, or trying to be first in line for the hot new toy. After missing out on some of the hidden side sets I was waiting on for markdown, I learned not to wait too long anymore. I even paid double for the hidden side castle

Sorry I posted the picture in this thread and disturbed your day. It was a “deal” for me as it is zero risk with possible reward. Since it is a Target exclusive it should work well on Amazon and eBay GSP. I don’t expect it to sell out immediately and possibly not even in 24 hours since nobody knew about it. Some of us by retired sets at MSRP or above and consider it a deal. A deal does not always equal savings.

I used to do week by week recap of the show on the Rebels thread, somewhere under "Odds & Ends". I was probably the only one who liked B-Wing in red

It’s tiny and the T Rex feet look ridiculous. But what do you expect for $100?

A new set that becomes sold out/backordered, is worth having (especially at a deal price), as people will happily pay a healthy premium to get it now, as opposed to having to wait.

I really don't see how Lego can make such a claim when they allow anyone to sell their product on their own 3p marketplace in new or used condition and collect fees from the selling of said product. At no point do they limit selling on Bricklink nor do they ask 3p sellers to acknowledge a chain or custody for their product or prove in any way that it is authentic. They're fine with Bricklink as a self-policing community and appear happy to make money off of it. The legality of Lego suing a 3p seller under these circumstances for offering their product for sale on marketplace while allowing the same seller to open an account and sell the very same products on their own marketplace escapes me.

I think they did a dis-service by listing estimated arrival dates that was likely way too optimistic...and then they double down on w/ more wrong dates on email "updates". They should just have noted: Arrival Date: "Don't make us lie to you...You'll get it when you get it...Peace out!"

i built the creator tiger and crocodile sets over the weekend. for reasons i can't put into words, these sets appeal to the lego purist in me. they were quick and interesting builds. the tiger has several sections that snap satisfyingly with a "click" when put together. i am thankful lego put the time and effort to make some actual printed wedge tiles for the tiger set forming the top of the stripe pattern that are critical to the set but could have been ruined with stickers.

Built the AT-ST. Very detailed and compliments the UCS AT-AT nicely. Canabilized the Probe Droid stand for the Snowspeeder. Probe Droid is now a parts pack.

Just finished the sitcom tower that's on rebrickable. Wanted a way to get Seinfeld into my modular city. Love how it turned out.

The pandemic was like the one time in my life where I was prepared for an investment windfall (Selling LEGO).
