This was the sales breakdown provided by BL for the castle: 'Percentages: single set purchasers (75%) got roughly 51% of available sets. Buyers of two (15%) got approximately 20% of sets. Acquirers of three and four sets (5%) got about 12% and accounts that bought 5 sets each (5%) got around 17% of available sets. 10.000 sets went to 6800 accounts.'

reseller mentality...think alike "Hey instead of paying money for something I need...how can I profit from it?" ...when I was "forced" to pay FULL rrp yesterday on Friends Advent...I ended up getting 3...because of the above mentality

I’m lol’ing because, since I’ve posted that, I’ve set up some looks at some trailers. Hopefully will pick one up tonight. Can’t hurt. Even if I price it to sell in FL, I should still come out ahead of the cost of renting one for the trip.

I am still expecting that someone at LEGO will just decide "c'mon, can't we at least print out some instructions for these guys".

Touché. Possibly worse than if they were explicitly claiming it is LEGO, because if you are fooled by it you have no chance of getting your money back. Then again, they are Hong Kong based, so you probably had no chance even if they were.

You could have gotten 2 yesterday, pocket the $10 in Kohl's cash, and then today bought the third one "for you" for $29.99-$10 = $19.99 after Kohl's cash. Then sell the other 2 locally for just over RRP ... there's your discount! EDIT: $23.99 online available for shipping at JoAnn's - Shipping is $7.99 but NOV299SHIP makes that $2.99.

FYI, this is 12% and applies to other sets as well. The honey gold deals have been ranging from 10%-20% the past week or two for lego. There was only one day I believe which it hit 20%, so I'm hoping that comes back again closer to Black Friday

It’s a common model, the same that Toycentric used. Abuse one market place to gain traction in another. My guess is Amazon will be turning a blind eye for the foreseeable future until the supply chain is sorted out. They are increasingly relying on 3p sellers to meet demand during this time. The gate doesn't last forever. In most cases, the gate will lift once Amazon is running out of inventory.

No email from BL/Lego so I forgot about this and missed Lego store, cant order it in Europe although limit hasnt been reached yet. So I probably order Venetian Houses at least, imho the Windmill desperately needs minifigs to have some vibe.

My biggest gripe is the lack of printed instructions. The largest market for these sets (AFOL's) would prefer something tangible, instead of something online. I realize they can be printed at home, but it's still not the same. Small issue, but I think it's important to note.
