Finally binged this over the weekend, to get caught up. Not sure why I wasn't watching from day one, as I'm really digging this show. So I like the Walker character. He's being written very well. It's not that the writers are trying to make him likable/relatable - they're writing true to the character. The character in the comics was always a smug ass. Remember what Dr. Erskine said to Steve: "Whatever happens, stay who you are. Not just a soldier, but a good man." Steve is a good man. John is a good soldier. And not to dismiss what John has done, but John certainly has PTSD and has been pretty affected by his past.

I am not interested in delving into the discussions of why/what/how/etc. I just hope BP members in Minneapolis area are staying safe.

Bought a pinball machine today, Williams Space Shuttle (1984). It was during the rain but I tarped it as best I could for the 1.5 hour ride home. Got home and had to label and disconnect about 12 cables and remove the backbox in order to get this thing to the basement but we're rockin' and rollin' now!

Gore, Kerry and Hillary Clinton were not recorded calling the governor/secretary of state of a state they lost asking them to find enough votes to win. They didn't promote conspiracy theories about voter fraud and the election being stolen. And finally there was no mob rushing the capitol building when congress was certifying the election. So spare me the Republicans are just doing what Democrats have always done line, it just doesn't hold up to scrutiny. Al Gore lost the 2000 election because of 537 votes in Florida, not thousands of votes in a half dozen states. In both 2000 and 2016 the eventual President lost the popular vote. Contesting ballots is fine to some extent, and it's hardly a thing Trump or Democrats invented.

I think all those videos are going to make this go viral (in the MCU) immediately. This won't look good for the US, and if people get Sam and Bucky in those shots, it won't go good for them either. The writing on this show is top notch. No reason to not expect that. Just pointing it out. Lots of good social commentary. There's really two ways to do social commentary - naturally, or shoving it down our throats. With the amount of commentary they are doing, it would be very easy to shove it down our throats, but I feel like they're doing a good job of showing, not telling, us all of these things. The struggle of the black man. The follies of perfection and nationalism. Extremism. Heavy stuff. Can't say I'm surprised tho. Captain America was always the hero of the Avengers that appealed to me in the 80s, and of all the different franchises within the MCU, it's the franchise that appeals to me the most. This series has definitely carried that tradition on for me.

I really had no idea what the hold value would be on them. I got Octan late and saw that they were selling better paired up. So I figured I just hold it to pair with Space when I got that one. However that one is now on track to possibly pay for the Space Shuttle I bought with it.

I clearly sold my Pirates coin way to early and for too cheap.

Doesn't show for me either. But I'm not sure there is anything worth buying. Even on a $200 set, this is only an extra $10. I rather have a GWP. For me, the one exception would be AS if I knew it were retiring soon. But from the rumblings, it doesn't sound like it.

With LEGO's CS being what it is I don't think it's much of a gamble. Screenshot it and even if it is a glitch they're likely to honor it via chat or phone call.

Yawn. Maybe good, maybe not...I haven't bought a single one and don't see that changing. There are much better sets to spend money on.

Built these over the last few nights. I'll keep them out for a couple of weeks and then pack them up until my son is ready for them. He's already pretty good at using the catapults and driving the horsies.

Picked up a couple of these for $8 a piece at Best Buy.

I'm not a big comic book follower, but apparently Walker was an ambiguous character…changed alliegances a few times and went by Super Patriot and U.S. Agent. My son didn't like him as soon as he saw "those stupid sideburns". 😏

I'm a big fan of the Sam/Bucky chemistry, so I'm excited to see where this story arc goes. I thought the first episode was a good slow burn. Great action sequences too!
