Yes and no to all. Each set's life is different. I treat it so. And that philosophy can hurt. I started buying Hogwarts Trains and Great Halls on day 1. Now, I wished that I had 50-75% less than what I have. I haven't bought one in over a year unless I see a huge discount. But nothing is worse than what happened with the 10224 Town Hall. Yesterday, they were everywhere. Today, gone. I'd rather have too many of a set than have to fight with collectors, sellers, resellers and store limits, all at the same time, near the set's end. And people that won't buy a set that is 6 month's old at 40% off because it doesn't appear on someone's retirement (dream) list totally buffalo me. My philosophy isn't for everyone. I have a small warehouse, dedicated to LEGO and I also sell on Bricklink. But it works for me.
