  1. The Saturn V was three generations working on the build in our household..my boy's grandfather (my father-inlaw) got pretty into it. The best part is having such a large build for all of us to hold together at the end for a great picture. This was what LEGO was meant for.

The first of my 5 Pooh sketches arrived today. Quality is quite nice and it's printed on card stock paper. Each one is also individually numbered. I imagine certain numbers ie: #1, #1000, etc will increase the value. Haven't seen any of these for sale yet and curious of the value collectors are putting on these.
  3. Picked up the Fire Dragon, Water Dragon and the purple one from Elves for 60. That way I can keep my sets sealed and add these ones to my dragon collection.

I must admit. The coins and these prints have been a great use of VIP points. Granted, I missed out on the Batpod when this new program rolled out. Big regret.

My wife has a personal attachment to this already and if I do she might put me on Ebay. Of course if the price was right she might change her mind!
  6. As far as displays go...this would fall under "lame"
  7. well you'll get the points back if you email them a reason...I said Covid which is he catchall scapegoat for everything. I got a poster just because my sister is a fig Pooh fan...but currently after-market prices are reaching the "she doesn't need to know" level
  8. Had to buy some lego so I would have enough VIP points to buy some more lego. Well played LEGO.

Spent the day digging/organizing through one of my storage areas and found this.

On March 17th I received a VIP email advertising the Winnie The Pooh set. If you scrolled down near the bottom of the email there was and advertisement for the limited edition sketches. You probably received the email, just missed it or didn't read it.
  11. I didn't get any prints as thought they would be a waste of points, just like the previous lego prints, expensive rookie mistake it seems.

Too bad about 60278. It would have been hilarious to have a Crooks' Hideout right next to a Brick Bank
  13. Lol you sound like me. To be fair though you certainly aren't the only one who passed on them. I only got them for my kids to frame to put in there bedroom and if they didn't want them I would of passed. Not many would have seen this coming with there value. Let's face it in a few weeks they'll probably by worth around 20 once they all get listed and flood the market, 20 was the value I put them on
  14. or order something really small like a poly bag...then it will come in a gigantic oversized box for sure

Weird and inconsistent, I guess we're at the mercy of the packer. Mine had four flaps of cardboard that folded in completely protecting the sketch. My other 4 sketches are still on the way and now I'm a little worried. The one I received was shipped with a Winnie The Pooh set and Carrot House freebie. Good that yours arrived undamaged 🙂
  16. not too hard to uderstand: popular Disney characters + limited edition = disney fans are cray cray (and have lots of disposable income) I was dismissive of prints until I saw the limited edition which gave me pause...at one time I had one of each in my cart...then I opted to save the points for "something good" and just got one for my sis...
  17. Also to clear up an issue, Lego wrongly put on the UK site that one of these was limited to 500. Upon seeing that sketch on eBay it is in fact 1000. So I'm guessing the total of each was indeed 1000 but split between different regions, ie according to Germany we got 360 or something.

Sadly, I had enough points. I'm holding onto 16K points right now waiting for the next Batpod-type reward, but I don't think another reward will ever be as good.
  19. Same here. Although, I dont think Ive ever had enough points at the same time. (IIRC the batpod was ~10-15K points) Small timer here.

Probably seemed insensitive after that explosion in Beirut. Timeline seems about right and its not hard to see why putting an explosive factory in a city and then turning on the news and seeing that gave them second thoughts.

Had the day off yesterday and went to my local brick and mortar Lego store. I haven't been in months. Was able to snag their last Book of Monsters along with the two Easter GWPs. I was hoping they would still have the Amelia Earhart GWP, but they said they ran out last week.

Seeing them side by side, I wonder if it was just a conscious effort to NOT use plates or slopes when designing these new Helmet series, only to be used in certain instances. Now to see which looks more like this!:

To me it looks like they will fall in love and get married. 75227 is more masculine looking. Honestly, I'd gamble it is good enough to fill the void for collectors who missed out on 75227. Both models fail to capture Vader in different ways. If you could plop 75227's helmet on 75304 you'd have a good model.

  25. 1st episode was meh for me...last thing I want to watch is a super hero trying to apply for a mortgage
