  1. Seems the next 18+ car or whatever they’re called now will be the Porsche 911. https://www.brickfanatics.com/is-lego-creator-expert-10295-porsche-911-coming-in-2021/ and a Shite pic attached

  2. 11k? Lego sets are getting too big. I assume a model something like the 10143 instead of another playset. Here is a leaked proto pic 😉

  8. with the clear popularity of the botanicals...the time seems ripe for LEGO to venture into the world's great Parks and Monuments...Yosemite and Tunnel View would be epic (and heaven knows there's tons of LEGO RV sets to complete the picture...or Grand Tetons...that silhouette alone would be nice...maybe even a Mt. Rushmore

  13. These are such stressful times - haven’t slept since New Years Eve. My order status has not changed — or at least I don’t think it has. I set up alarms so I can check every hour but sometimes I miss my alarms and fear I might have missed something. CS won’t take my calls anymore so I don’t know what to do. I’m so glad we have this forum where at least we have each other to comfort. Maybe this just isn’t for me . . .

  14. Dude your calling my wife cringeworthy 😂 Well she is somebody’s wife from Austin TX Anyway, I found her relatively new channel when looking for a review of the new Modular police station and her’s was pretty good IMO.

  15. they will eventually find it but it will takes weeks to months, usually SS wont budge since they are just parrots and they eat the cracker the warehouse people gives them .. they once lost an entire box I sent in and they refused to reimburse claiming it wasn't there and that their count was correct.. after a few back and forth, I gave up dealing with idiots and wrote to "Jeff" since it was worth a few grands, I was reimbursed within two days . fast forward 5 months and suddenly the contents of that box suddenly appeared in my inventory and the reimbursement was reversed . obviously the parrot wasn't reprimanded

  18. While checking out at my local LEGO Store today, I noticed a couple of ice skating rinks poking out from behind dozens of vintage cars. I asked the cashier if they were still going with $150 purchases. He said yes, and he also said that a promotion was going on that would allow me to receive one with any gift card purchase. So, a $5 gift card later, I had one more to add to the pile. I also bought the Monkey King Mech because it looks awesome (and two GWP don't hurt). There was no signage for this, so YMMV.

  21. Sold a 71246 Lego Dimensions Team Pack - Adventure Time on BrickLink for $42.50 that I found on Target clearance a few years ago for $7.48. After fees, netted a $31.85 profit. Not a bad ROI for something I almost forgot I had.

  25. Headline: "BrickPickers, once the scum of the earth, hailed as saviors of Christmas during COVID." I too had some moms tell me the same. "You're saving my butt here!" "OMG, I'm so glad you had these for sale. My kids' Christmas has been saved!"

  34. The problem with guessing retirement dates of sets in the Covid era is that LEGO Shop@Home is out of stock on everything it seems. Hard to see any patterns.

  36. I've had a few sales from that name/address. Same scenario bought relisted item as well. No issues. If it weren't my last one available, I would've messaged "Hey, I have __ more if you want to save on individual shipping and buy'em all in one shot." Must find that apron/sorter original thread. Fun times.

  39. Here is the list I've been going by. As noted there was an update in December, but this seems to be pretty close to what has been reported. HP, Ideas and Creator Expert sets are the ones most in question I believe. https://www.brickfanatics.com/lego-sets-retiring-in-2020-october-update/

  43. Contact eBay when it is delivered. eBay just ate a full refund where my item was delivered late and buyer demanded a refund anyway. I just told the buyer, “sorry, packages are late systemwide. Please be patient and thank you for your understanding.” Buyer kept case open with eBay and asked eBay to step in, eBay provided refund to buyer and released hold on my funds.

  45. Well it seems most of the criticisms are based in love. Love for the original, love for the theme, love for Lego, else why would we care. yes, didn't fully capture the "mood" of the submission but IMO is this a beauty and we haven't even seen all the details yet. My complaints would be this being an ideas set and not a new castle theme and if they would have simply used darker brown on the wood bits.

  46. Sure. The halving effect is in full swing. (Explanation in attachment) Last cycle there were multiple 30-40% corrections on the way from $200 to $20k. Entirely expected we should correct at any point. One major difference this cycle is it's being led by institutional investment and major corporations converting their treasuries into bitcoin. This may dampen volatility as dips are bought. What was once extremely speculative is now being used as a store of value for major institutions.

  47. Lego basically has two retirement points each year...7/31 and 12/31. A smaller number of sets is retired 7/31 than 12/31, but there's no real rhyme or reason about whether a set goes mid-year or end-of-year. And when a set is retired mid-year, it may disappear as early as April or May, or remain available until later in the year.
