Built the big space shuttle 10231. Bought it used on Ebay.Wanted one to go along with my Saturn V and lunar lander.

It's been out so long, they aren't entirely sure who the character is anymore.

This might just make it official that this is the worst performing set of all time. How many other sets can we say have been on 65% clearance for over a year online and have not sold out?

It was hard for some reason, but I saw selling prices and thought well I'll list for sale my one Haunted House. I won't be building it anytime soon and eventually I'll be able to grab another one. I sold it within a couple of hours at a good price.

My Haunted House that was on backorder just got charged and went to In Process.

Went to drop off some stuff at the post office and went to the department store nearby, found two 60204's on clearance plus a podracer, promptly bought all 3. I seem to be finding hospitals (including 41318s) quite frequently. amazon.de is taking orders, limited to 2 though.

... and to add insult to injury: I am trying to send in 41309 Andrea's Musical Duet, but when I create my SKU name it says it cannot be created because I already have an SKU with that name. Going to my full inventory, I see no SKU with that name, or for 41309 at all ("Manage my Inventory" screen, all options set to "Include All") .... Also, there are a ton of LEGO items that do not show up in the "Add a Product" screen when searching for "LEGO <set number>" (or they show all sorts of alternate listings, but not the main product listing). I have to go by ASIN to add. Even had one where the ASIN works in regular Amazon, but Add a Product does not show results for the same ASIN. Luckily I could use the "Sell on Amazon" button on the regular Amazon product page to add it to my Shipping Plan, but wow, what a crappy system.

Built the extreme offroader 42099 few weeks back. While it's nice, it's torque and power seemed lacking and its ability to climb and clear obstacles is not satisfactory. So I got parts for and finished the Efferman mod from rebrickable, what a difference! It will climb any obstacles in front of it now! Very pleased with the results. The drawbacks were lower max speed and I think a larger turning radius (both from memory not proven). Very worthwhile upgrade for $40 of parts from BL. If anyone is planning on building one, make sure you manually calibrate the wheels when you insert the motor controlling the steering (connect to hub and have the motor rest in neutral position, then insert the motor while the steering bar is dead center). I didn't do this and had to take apart and rebuild the entire front section.

Traded mine for an Ewok Village. Pretty happy to get one of those to build...

Ordered a HP Train and six baseplates from Target. The baseplates were separated from the train right away. The train arrived today - in the largest Target box I have ever seen. The bubble mailers didn't even fill the box. At least the set was in mint condition and amazingly, no stickers.

If I were in your shoes, I would sell it right away...mainly because you won't be building it anytime soon. You can buy it back later when it's readily in stock and pocket the profits.

Eh, probably not, from what I've read. But I just got back into my LEGO collection (like many sitting at home for these past few months, I had to find something to occupy time) and this is a set I've wanted for years. So figured one for me, one to sell or gift. I'll probably only have to wait 10 years to sell, unlike the 20 most have had to wait! 😅

I received a Modular Diner from LEGO today in a box that was nearly perfect for it. Unfortunately, they also packed a Hot Rod on top of it. Seriously, the two sets don't even fit in the space they forced it into. Thankfully the Hot Rod box took the brunt of the difference but the front of the Diner has a Hot Rod sized indentation. The really annoying part is I received a Hogwarts Great Hall (all by itself) in a much larger box at the exact same time. If I didn't know better, I would assume LEGO had the two shipments side-by-side and just switched boxes between them. *sigh*

I just got a rather sternly worded letter from Target letting me know that they now consider me a reseller and cancelled a whole bunch of my orders. Randomly too, not all the same sets. Weird.

I took pictures today A total of 8 diners came this way over a couple of days. On the same day, Amazon also delivered two fresh in a box. Grrr... I might try to break even with these on ebay versus adding to my return tally. It'll be a good experiment to see if box condition really doesn't matter
