  1. Fun fact: the holiday selling season is around the corner.
  2. Christmas + Possible unexpected retirement + Not quick flipping + Really cool set At least that is my thoughts...
  3. US sticker noting number of pieces and age ranges over the boxes that were originally destined for the UK or other parts that don"t require it.
  4. Ahhh! Of course. I checked 90 minutes ago. When it wasn’t there.

Treehouse still seems to be available. Glad I finally snagged one.

I think if they retire it soon, it'll help long term. I certainly may need to eat my words at some point. It's obvious this thing doesn't have broad appeal like a saturn v though.
  8. While I do agree with your assessment and I don't think its investment potential is near as high as a modular or fairground set, it is one of those sets that pushes the boundaries of what is possible with LEGO. From that stand point it is an oddity and dare I say has a certain cool factor. And with all of Netflix's new subscribers and future potential Stranger Things seasons, it could take off.
  9. I can see early retirement. Set is interesting but doesn’t really seem worth RRP. Appeal to die hard fans only.
  10. They were about £180 each. Glad I made sure to get the house and Kwik-E-Mart before they went - mine are still sealed but I plan to open and build. I seem to remember some saying it was brave to buy the Kwik-E-Mart at RRP. Things worked out I guess.
  11. You guys are making me look bad. I stopped at a Barnes and Noble and grabbed a Tron Legacy for myself. I hadn't being paying close attention to all the new sets, but they had a Minecraft Dungeons themed set, which I didn't know they had coming out. Looks neat, I think kids will like it - the game seems to be getting some positive buzz amongst the kid/minecraft group.

Well thx [emoji6]! Last one for personal collection
  15. Some may be at their buy limit and don't want to risk the ban hammer.
  16. 75956 from Target now has the sticker. So, these may be done after that supply is sold.
  17. Target exclusive. I believe it’s going so I have a few.
  18. Well well i suppose you will be the only one here who could have been bought the VW Camper at the right time. I suppose I will not fetch any premium for the old Box. 😬
  19. Almost daily, Target has sets popping up that are out of stock at most other retailers. 75214 Anakin Starfighter was available with limit 10 this morning.
  20. 75955 HP Train in stock at Target $63.99
  21. Are you including FBA shipping costs, Inventory storage fees (only short-term in my case) and the like? That's where it goes from ~30% to 40% in my case (actually, the real number is 39%, not 40.2% as I had a doublecount in the numbers somewhere).

(Not sure if this should go here, or under covid trends ...) Just had my strongest week, dollar-wise, since the start of March, and it pushed me over a significant milestone, illustrated below. The Milestone: I've sold more in the past 10 weeks than any of my previous yearly totals. Quite shocking, really.
  23. LEGO has announced the latest addition to the LEGO MINDSTORMS line with the Robot Inventor (51515). Retailing at $359.99, the set has 949 pieces and will be released in early Q4 2020. Robot Inventor is a 5-in-1 set that allows builders to also learn about coding using the companion app. The coding language is based on Scratch and it supports Python for more advanced coders. Check out the press release below.
  24. Back in my day, if you wanted to get an SSD at RRP, you hit a *key* labeled F5. An actual key. Not some curly arrow on a screen. It had a spring and made a real click sound. And if you were one of the chosen ones, you could get a seller account on Amazon.com — in less time than it took to get that plastic prize — and try to sell it that day without providing any farcy-nootin’ “invoices”. And that‘s the way it was and WE LIKED IT!
  25. Next time buy 500 so you wont have that problem. 😊
  26. I already coined the phrase "UCS Brickheadz"
  27. Umm we are all kicking ourselves for not buying more of EVERYTHING at this point. Don’t be so hard on yourself.
  28. Kinda felt like I was building a giant brickheadz.
  29. 6 months into 2020. it's been a nightmare. can things possibly get worse? heck yes,
