Thing is Lego doesn't need to do anything to keep customers like us happy and they know it. I'd wager the vast majority of the orders placed with that code were from resellers and they could give a f*** whether we're happy or not. They could take a dump on us and we'd still be showing up for the next GWP or sale. If this kind of things gets under your skin, maybe Lego reselling isn't for you. I can't count the number of times over the years that things like this happened. You win some, you lose some...no point getting pissed off about it.

Doesn't sound like this was a mistake...sounds like this was an employee-only code that got leaked out. It's entirely reasonable for TLG to cancel orders under these circumstances.

How much did you pay for the ships? There were stellar deals this year.

What's unreasonable is the fact it has taken 3.5 days for them to fix the issue, while holding hundred of thousands of dollars or more of customers money. No one knew until after the code was shut off that it was an employee only code. Good companies always make the customer happy, mistake or otherwise. You would think LEGO would want to make it right, especially after the black friday debacle. I know when we have an issue, no matter what caused it, we always try to make our clients happy and do our best to make it right by them. The reasonable thing would have been to offer the affected customers a 30% off coupon for one item that they select or a few items.

It feels like the only buyers left on eBay are the bargain hunters who want the best items for half off or less I am getting lazy on eBay. I can move the same things on FBM with less efforts.

I’m in the same boat. Lost my patience with some sets and moved a lot of dead weight this season. I feel good about sets I’m reinvesting in.

Yes. Sometimes they are, but rarely in my neck of the woods. They might have a red sticker, or it's in a clearance section. I often throw a bunch of different sets in a shopping cart, and go to town on the price scanner.

lol - if you did loaded up on brickheadz you are cleaning the fred up. i'm not even talking about mickey or minnie. harry potter, hermione, stormtrooper, boba fett, luke+yoda, darth vader minecraft brickheadz at every target, walmart bn at MSRP - you would have more than doubled your money post fees on a few of them. i am having tough time keeping $65 minecraft bhz in stock (msrp.$19.99). if you got them on easily obtainable 30-50% discount (especially stormtrooper and darth on the $5.99 and $6.99 permasale before stacking in the target gift cards) you are having a fantastic year. once i saw mickey and minnie going in such a short amount of production time and it was confirmed all 2018 bhz were retiring, i started buying early and often in bulk from amazon at msrp and on sale. i think people who are holding onto brickheadz for another year are going to see epic returns as the sell counts start to dwindle further. i'm just moving on to the next thing. this year will be the same as last - great if you picked the right sets. freaking ship in a bottle is already selling for $145 fba instock for saturday delivery. already looking like a great year if you have a lot of that one. meantime, some price creep happening on sets as we get to crunch time and people start paying attention to the delivery date. if you are instock fba for tomorrow, make sure you are priced higher than instock fba for december 28th or give up the premium just to make a sale slightly quicker. i am 25% higher than the buybox on some listings and still seeing significant sales volume. no specifics - thanks

I think that all Hidden side sets are extremely great visually looking. The thing why they are left behind could do a lot with a totally incompetent LEGO marketing when parentx expect that every single smart phone will work with these - and what a surprise, only a handful.. That might be whats dragging them down. And also really really weird box art. You do not see what you are actually buying.
