And you can leave your car unlocked while you go shopping. On second thoughts, maybe not such a good idea as someone might dump a tower bridge or 2 inside while your back is turned.6 points

I didn't need one and yet I had my wife schedule ordering one because I was going to be away from my phone at launch. The amazing thing is that I didn't have to explain it, she just knew it was Lego and to buy it; I think that she's a keeper.5 points

You're missing the context of his previous tale of woe where multiple retailers 'canceled' him leaving him with tons of authorizations and little credit BUT $1,000 in Kohls GC + $350 in Kohls Cash...4 points

Nah, I thought that's why we got wise and started adding something small and inexpensive like a keychain or CMF so that they shipped out your promo with the part of the order that they could fulfill3 points

Kohl's has 40 sets at 40% off online. Kessel Run Falcon for $102. Good time to use some Kohl's Cash. https://www.kohls.com/catalog/lego-toys.jsp?CN=Brand:LEGO+Department:Toys&icid=dvm-191004-LegoDesktopSpotlight-d4-allsets&kls_sbp=231941354290438480503548292090792168733 points

They could potentially put the 40337 gingerbread house out earlier as substitute. That would be epic with the 30% off.3 points

Take a look at your orders on SAH. My Disney train is backordered, but the Christmas Tree status is "In Process." In my experience, that tree will show up on its own sometime next week, and the train will follow whenever.2 points

People in Holland are going bonkers over a windmill freebie that's handed out at the new Amsterdam Lego shop. Instantly sold for 100 euro, prices going up to 150.1 point

I stand corrected then. Still, I'll post if my tree ships on its own.1 point

Recently, it's only if you ordered another in-stock item with it.1 point

Well no more tree promo will probably save me since money and change plans. No PR, Voltron or Hulkbuster probably.1 point

Yep, I know with my personality I will never be selected for the price is right. I would know ALL of the prices though.1 point

I've been watching for a couple years hoping for any sort of discount in Canada. If there have been previous sales I missed them. happy with this, i pulled the trigger on one.1 point

If only Kohl's wasn't such a crapshoot for shipping--sometimes in a bag smooshed to hell, sometimes in a box that fits perfectly with just the right amount of air packs.1 point

For those who like their deal shopping in store, and who live in the Midwest: Meijer Santa Bucks are on today. Couple of interesting options: 75254 Mandalorian At-ST on sale for $39.99, $34.99 after Santa Bucks Friends Heartlake City Resort on clearance for $74.99, $59.99 after Santa Bucks (didn't test this as my store was OOS, not sure if Bucks work on clearance) UCS Yoda is full price, but gets $20 in Santa Bucks which brings it down to $79.99 ... Not bad for 1771 (small) pieces.1 point

Not necessarily a bad thing. It makes the trees you got even more valuable, and helps with buying decisions. Without the tree, I’m done with the remaining of the list and except maybe a couple of voltron and Ferrari garage.1 point

I love it. Will definitely add to the amusement park set. Reminds me of the old Fire Show at LEGOLAND California, which hits my family in the feels. It was my daughter’s favorite thing to see when she was a toddler, and we became friends with several of the performers.1 point

I just haven’t had the time to sit and watch ep 2 with the boy yet. Maybe tonight. I really enjoyed it and I bet he will too. He was disappointed when the first episode was over, exclaiming, “that’s it?!? It’s over?!!”1 point

Four "books" ranging in piece count from 100-170ish. Looks like they are hinged together by technic pins. Kids can mix and match covers. I wonder if LEGO is aiming at a lower age because the whole "princess" phase is fairly short. At age 4, the kids are still trying to figure out what they like. By age 10/11 my daughter was already moving away from princess stuff. I could see parents getting all four "books" for their children and although I would consider $20 a bit high for what you get, it's a relatively easy buy-in for parents. Kind of at that "birthday party" price range too.1 point

Remember, for the most part, the "Retiring Soon" tag is a sales gimmick used to get customers to buy something - typically slow sellers/overstocked sets/sets they need to move because they want to be done with the line, whatever. Most sets retire without that tag. It's not like LEGO is under any sort of obligation to mark stuff a certain way. They do it to move product.1 point
