I think most of us realized LEGO didn't care about VIP's after the whole UCS MF Black Card debacle.7 points

The red brick set was an unexpected bonus, so I'm not complaining. The real aim of the VIP weekend was early access to the Tree GWP + Double VIP points + 30% off a few items. Even if I only get $10-$15 for the red brick, it's still something to bring down the overall order cost. Hell, maybe I'll even keep one to build.2 points

Costco has delivery service nowadays. And a website. I don’t see LEGO.com as being more accessible. They’re both equally accessible.2 points
-
Good point about Costco VS. VIP. Love me some speed champs too.:) No expectations on my end, just observing. Reason for posting was I do believe they as a company could have moved some more slow sellers. I was In my dark ages when Black card fiasco happened but I've read a lot of back posts about it. Lot of hype for not much.2 points

Yeah it's a 6*6*2ish sized box. Surfer van is the lame type homemade poly like the falcon from Target was few years back. Interesting both are EU bar codes. Some jackass was making random predictions2 points

Not sure if your serious or not, I would hope not since the guy asked for honest advice? Investing got harder, definitely not dead.1 point

For those griping that the $120 threshold for a ~400 piece Christmas tree was too high, just wait til you get a load of what $80 more got you. The buildable red brick is 72 pieces and in a crap box. Super disappointing.1 point

For only $70, you can upgrade from VIP to VIB! https://www.bricksla.com/vib-afol-registration/1 point
-
This is what I was thinking. There's no threshold to meet to qualify for VIP is there? Basically, you just need an email address to be a VIP.1 point
-
When being a VIP means you register on the website, yeah, it's not very exclusive. lol. I'm not sure what anyone was expecting.1 point

I sat this round of sales out, I'm sure there will be a winner out of these, but I'm willing to wait for clearer skies. The average shopper is coming out, so the better deals will be trickier to find for a little while. Patience is key.1 point

I ,as many of you, were hoping that the VIP discount page wasn't just a glitch. It kinda showed that VIPs aren't really anything that special. They through a few pallets of votron into costcos for everyday joes and teased us so called VIPs. I'm sure LEGO would have liked to move a grip of those big fans and somewhat disappointing trains also! Just Another confusing Move by our "friends" at the top. Also like many of you I got to save some capital for the next round of sales elsewhere. Oh, and that cloud city at target was gone again in the time I got some coffee. Just talking, Spend wisely Y'all!1 point

No, Target is OOS so Amazon ended the PM. Amazon has plenty available. Will probably come in and out of stock at Target and sporadically PM'd by Amazon until Wednesday I guess.1 point

50 years would put him exactly the same year as Anakin Skywalker. Surprised that wasn't mentioned in this thread yet.1 point
-
That may be the case, but we may not see that deal again and 36% off a set at this price still is something I don't consider a bad deal. If you missed that one, at least you have this one.1 point

looks like the 30% off page is showing the same stuff as last night now, no more voltron or giant fans1 point

Most of the discounts are available for everyone. Biggest benefit is free 2 day shipping and if you have the Amazon CC its 5% cash back instead of 3%.1 point

Didn't see any Voltrons at the one swamped Costco in NoVa that I stopped at, but I did see that the Harry Potter Advent calendar has joined the ranks at $24.991 point

Haha you post a lot of cryptic posts, but this may take the cake! ?1 point

Ah, OK. Thanks. Up to this point, I've been opening the cases, labeling the sets, resealing the cases, putting blank labels over the existing case labels. Just trying to see if there was a way I could cut out some of the process to be more efficient, but it doesn't really sound like it. Thanks again, I appreciate it!1 point

say 5 sets of lego 450XX come in one master case, I dont retape/close the master case after stickering the 5 sets.1 point

Was my thought too, until I realized that it's the link for our European friends. If you check the link you'll see it ends in "-eu". The banner just below it has the us/can link (no -eu).1 point

Changing gears a bit... When you're sending in sets that are in their original cases from LEGO, do you need to take the outside label off the case (or cover it) for Amazon to process correctly? I label everything myself. So, for example: I have a case of 4 in the original LEGO case. I open the case, label each of the 4 individual sets with my label and then seal the sets back up. Do I need to be concerned with the barcodes on the outside of the case? Thanks!1 point
