I'm in for at least 2 castles; will pull the trigger this weekend. I'm predicting a last minute surge before the free-shipping promo is done.

Preliminary or final, I find the simplicity here to fit these fan builds just fine. Perhaps the plain canvas is not as showy of a typical official LEGO set yet here I think it keeps the focus on what is important; the build itself period. Also these with the set name and designer down the sides seem nice for storing the boxes as you would a book in a shelf. I agree. The builds on their own are already display worthy but this is a nice touch indeed. Kind of harkens back to some of the classic sets with flip tops or where the box would open up.

If I get a whiff of cigarette smoke it's a deal breaker for me these days. No matter what I see. In my experience there's too much labor involved getting it out(which it never is 100%).

A bit of a shameless cross-post with the 'what did you buy today?' thread, but here is something that will be keeping me busy. Everything boxed here, plus lots of smaller sets without boxes, is mostly mixed together. A couple seem to have been separated, like the Black Pearl, but it's mostly a jumble. I actually have another bulk lot with a few old pirate sets (like Black Seas Barracuda) that I haven't even started on yet, but I could not refuse this for £100.

gawd! how large is that thing?? It must be probably well over 3 ft / 1m in length, right? Ppl just should put some kind of scale next to their marvelous creations.
