My 11yo daughter showed me the trailer last night. I wasn't even aware it was released. She was excited, which warmed my heart, because she's definitely growing up too fast. I'm not ready for her to enter the teenager stage.

I would wait a few more weeks before we conclude this movie was a total loss. I know between the snow, extreme cold and poor marketing(although crazy high budget??) No one in my area has seen the movie yet that plans too. I feel with the long weekend and school vacation next week, there could be a bump in the numbers. Although premeir wknd is a good indicator of how a movie will perform in the long wrong, this is not always the case.

The reason I'm at a quagmire is because on the one hand it's 4X QFLL, on the other hand it's 5000 limited (WITH STICKERS! STICKERS!). Then back to the other hand thinking it's on the upswing due to the movie so shoot for QFLL, then back to the other side when you realize there's definitely a Lego Move 3. Then back again realizing that by Lego Movie 3 they may remake these brickheadz in a different form and cannibalizing the value of these sets, especially if they also become limited...but then again it's 5000 with stickers...STICKERS! Not to mention the wife wants to sell because "stop holding our money hostage in Legos"...Thus, the quagmire... Personally, I want to keep them, because even though I know it's a cheap psychological gimmick, but hot damn those limited stickers sure are shiny...

She made me sit on the "yellow square" for 10 minutes...

Sold a sealed 7663 Sith Infiltrator on OfferUp. Just trying to move some old turds. Buyer asked me to open it and send him a picture of the contents. It had been sitting on Bricklink forever, so I figured I would crack it open for the chance to unload it. Grateful the buyer asked me to open it, because this was inside: To think, this has been sitting on a shelf in my basement for nearly a decade. Nearly gave it away in a $25 infiltrator.

Who on here believes buying lego is a risk? If you do due diligence your buying choices becomes a sure thing.

Managed to basically get the mount to fit, it wasn't without it's issues.. Here's the mount and construction used for 10179: Main problem with 75192 and 10179 is that the frame won't match the two L brackets, these brackets hold most of the weight, so i need them both to rest on the frame (gap illustrated below) I did already add a large technic beam, otherwise you would see straight through the model on the left bracket. So i made a simple fill in with technic beams and plates: Put in place (view from top and bottom): I didn't have to change too much on the mount itself, the technic liftarms had to be moved around a bit, and i had to add a few more plates to the underside to make all the technic holes and pins line up properly. In the end this is what the "finished" mount looks like: And finally here the falcon is fully attached to the mount and sitting on the table with all landing gear off the ground, center of gravity is good, and the frame isn't bending terribly and no parts are popping off yet. Next step will be to "gravity proof" the set, as many of you know most of the panels and such and held in place by gravity, if turned on it's side some of these will fall off. Simple fix for many of the panels, but the center gun turret section will need to be completely redesigned as i don't have room to slot on the Technic liftarms it's built with, and the construction is a SNOT technique, so i'll need to do some brainstorming.
