  4. Wow there are sets that Terry doesn't like. That deserves it's own thread as well. A special to Terry or not to Terry...
  5. Spider-Man /hulk duplo is also $11-12. Msrp $40 iirc
  6. I only have one store, it’s not hard. ???
  7. A moderator will have to hide at least one post in this thread by this time tomorrow.
  8. It can look pretty amazing in the right setup
  9. I agree. I really appreciate these little "Easter Eggs" in LEGO sets and video games. This set is everything that LEGO does right. Not to get off topic, but Red Dead Redemption 2 is an example of a recent video game with some excellent "Easter Eggs." Really spectacular game.
  10. Sometimes these little hidden nods to the past make builds go from good to great. Reminds me of how video games used to parody in small parts other games or even films like entering a hidden chamber finding a certain dead soldier and the protagonist goes "Hmm, that is one doomed space marine".
  11. Here is a little Model Team Easter Egg someone has found in this set. https://imgur.com/DCjuZsw

    It is a trap !
  13. These sets are brilliant and I think that LEGO have done a great job in representing a very important event in South East Asian culture, would love to see a Night Market or Lantern Festival street scene if more sets are developed. But yes I do find it amusing that the people who it should appeal to the most are the ones hoovering most of the stock. Been a while since I’ve browsed this site. Nice to see some familiar names that have stuck around.
  14. Not today, but these arrived today. Last of the retail BHz I needed to say I’m 100% on them.
  15. Heartlake Hospital in stock at Jet.com for $81 https://jet.com/product/LEGO-Friends-Heartlake-Hospital-41318/deef5436afee49788087cf80c6fc5417?beaconId=20bffc59-6ab1-465d-88b8-a2e74b475895%2F1%2Fx~deef5436afee49788087cf80c6fc5417%3BexpId~21%3Bst~"lego heartlake"&experienceId=28
  16. This is what could be considered as a Classic Space minifigure pack for the modern generation. Now if there was a blue edition of the non-cracked chinstrap helmet it would be perfect in that regard and also a red spaceman to round out the troop. Pish posh. Mail-order pigeons suit me just fine, good sir.

  18. ...10261 Creator Expert Roller Coaster. Just added Benny´s Space Squad for more visitors! ?
  19. If you guys hav ebeen hitting the walmarts and Targets...you may have also noticed all the various Harry Potter line collectibles (White box w/ fancy gold-like fringe)...almost worse than Disney in terms of how many different items there are. just curious what folks think of them...probably too early to gauge any valuation. The Surprise box wand...$19.99 seems to me like the best collectible (search for the elder Wand and all that)...I saw a few discounted at $15 today at target. I also saw the dolls (like barbie size and quality) for teh first time...also on sale for $15...would have gotten a Harry, but only had Hermoine, Dumbledore, and Ron and the Teacher Mcgronigle(sp?) I picked up their Wizard's Chess set since my kid is into chess...$20 at 50% off...really solid and detailed pieces (but plastic I think) I also saw the Sorting Hat (that talks) and giant figures of Niffler (sp?) All Rubbish??? thoughts?
  20. Managed to get 7 in Asda for £4.67 and 4 in Tesco for £6.50 over Christmas. I thought Asda kept the prices the same across all their stores. Don't know why I thought that!
  21. Tesco Gallows Corner... Yup, it's that kind of place.

Of course Lando is in the new Snowspeeder. These are all kinds of mixed up regarding which ones would be better fits in the sets.
  23. Careful, I already received a warning from Jet about my account being flagged as a reseller which they don't allow. Stupid thing is you can't take advantage of their reduced prices for multiple items......without buying multiple items?
  24. I must be getting too old for QF game. I cannot see how to make money selling these for $17-$18 on the Bay
  25. There are a few of us on here. I'm working through the shutdown, so far.
  26. In other news: As the partial government shutdown heads into its 28th day, Pornhub has reported a spike in traffic — coinciding with the same time some federal workers have stayed home from work. The site’s Insights team analyzed data from Jan. 7 to Jan. 11, and found that not only has PornHub seen an almost six percent increase in visitors, it’s also seen a “distinct shift in the hours during which people are watching porn.”
  27. I told you...the mice were the last two retail sets I needed. I’ve got everything [emoji16]
  28. Now go get that Birthday Clown ... looks awesome!
  29. You can always open a case and add pics and try to get reimbursed. Amazon provides lifetime returns (we always get returns after 12-24 months) but that is just the nature of the beast on amazon. Luckily most of our items are sub $50 replens and our return rate is 0.7% so not much at all and it is never worth the time to open cases for refunds. We prefer to inspect, reseal and send back in as used and price 5% less. What we can’t sell as used we send to local auction once per month to liquidate. But LEGO you should have no problem selling used on fleabay for good money. I love returns as each one I get means 99 items have sold for very good profit that are not coming back. That I can live with.
  30. Meanwhile, there were a ton at a small local Target the other day.
  31. I've also seen 25% off Conveyex, Snoke's Throne Room, and Firstbourne.
  32. I think that green lizard thing is from 7255.
  33. Limits. This is 2019. Jeez.
  34. Brick prices will drop to pennies on the dollar. Frustrated re-seller will make first livable 3,500 Sq foot home made entirely of plastic
  35. Aaaaand the most unpredictable in terms of EOL. Talk to people who went deep early with White Houses or Eifel towers
  36. Thank you Amazon, frustration Free packaging. In this case I guess it means you get the frustration for free.
  37. Local find...6285 Black Seas Barracuda and 6274 Caribbean Clipper $185 total. Both used/100% complete with box and instructions however, the Barracuda's minifigures are still sealed/new and sails are mint!
  38. I wanted to get into modular building but I don't have the space for the regular models. So I picked up this one. Hopefully, I can learn some interesting techniques so I can build my own mini-modulars.
  39. Terry will have a good 800 of these built up considering it's price point and already apparent like of the set...

One thing I have learned time and time again is to not underestimate the capacity of large corporations to make stupid decisions without thinking them all the way through. Sent from my SM-G965U using Brickpicker Forum mobile app
  41. Built BB8 Over Christmas break with my kids. Not a bad little build overall. We put it on the shelf next to 10225 UCS R2D2 and they make a decent pair.

We are living in glorious times! Double your money if you have the persistence and cunning to track these down. (Not that ive managed to get many of them either, but my advice is strip the shelves bare of them.) It's the Policeman and Saturn V FOMO all over again. And so many whingers on facebook complaining about lack of supply and over-inflated prices. I mean cry me a river! It's a luxury toy ffs. First world snowflake problems. It's not baby formula, where little Johnny literally goes hungry. That is a bloody national disgrace orchestrated by (ironically) a group Chinese flippers. End rant.
  43. but this is a must have for anyone wanting to conver their city lay-outs into a Zombie wasteland...which is the endgame for every Lego city layout...you just don't know it yet
  44. Strange set. I kinda like it, but I don't think it displays well. Might be a sleeper because of lack of interest, but then again, if people don't care now, why will they care about it in two years?
