  3. My go to line is that I have a problem and am currently in a support group for it, but it's not working. That usually gets a strange look and then silence as they turn around and leave me alone. Or I say that I have a Lego fetish and will be taking a bath in these. That usually gets the same response.

  7. Built the much-maligned 75180 Rathtar Escape for my 5 year old tonight. Actually a clever little build and gotta say, it looks better in person than the box portends. Son loves gobbling the Guavian dudes up with the Rathtars so can't complain one bit. Love the Rathtar builds---look very much like the movie when all is said and done. Purchased from the recent Target sale.

  13. I tell them I sell them if they ask that usually shuts them up . Don’t feel like I need to justify what I do . I do offer them an item to take from the cart if they really wanted one , they never take me on my offer .

  14. maybe - too early to say but there's no price to that giddy giggly rush you get when the incredible 5 year old inside of you comes out grabbing these by the handful and literally shelf swiping 6 at a time in to your other arm . there was an entire endcap of these . 5 shelves. i couldnt' even take them all there were like 16 left. as i'm grabbing sets and giggling outloud to myself, a nearby weathered wizened clearance hag & her future hag daughter at the next endcap over are becoming curious about what could they have possibly missed that i am throwing these down fast and furious like they are kilos from pablo. "what are u - an amazon seller or something?" - why yes - yes i am - what was the tip off?" lol.

  18. And a 16-pocket apron. Seriously though, it's pretty easy to smoosh to figure out the figure inside. IMO, it's better to sell them sealed than to open it and bag them up.

  25. Shopko will be going the way of KMart, Sears, and TRU soon. They just closed 39 stores in the Midwest a couple of weeks ago. I work for Pepsi and we have been told to stop delivering because they haven’t been paying their bills. Once in awhile the stars and planets align where clearance sales overlap with coupons and/or senior day. When that happens you can make some great hauls, but otherwise it’s not worth the trouble. Much better deals can be found elsewhere.

  40. That's a bold, and in my opinion, an incorrect statement. A ruder person might say "crack pipe" lol It's two relatively similar-priced Architecture sets, while the Falcons are priced 15.99 and 1299.99 respectively (in Australia)

  46. Built the Destiny's Bounty I got around Christmas time with mostly Shop Your Way points from Kmart. I told my wife it would be my birthday gift but she forgot, so I got it out the other day and started in on it. It's really a nice build. My 20 month old daughter loves having Moana drink tea and go to bed in the little bed below deck. I should really make it a point to watch the movie, I watched five seasons of the TV show already.

  47. Just wanted to confirm that the post office modular is indeed just my MOC building "Brick Square Post Office". That box art shot is just something I knocked together in photoshop yesterday, but I apologise if it has tricked anyone, that definitely wasn't my intention. When I build my own modulars I always try and present them using similar backgrounds and camera angles to help them appear similar to official modulars. A couple of examples below... I created the box art shot to share on my instagram. I have posted many shots of my Post Office on there before and only have a small following so I assumed that people would realise it was just another fancy way of presenting my model. Perhaps it was a step too far though and I deleted the picture as soon as I heard that rumors had started to circulate about it. It had only been online for a few hours. You are right. The image is basically just the Downtown Dinner box with my model photoshopped on to it. Yes the mail van in the shot with my Steam Engine is the same one from the Post Office. Here is another picture with them all together. Once again, sorry folks if that picture tricked anyone.
