Study: It takes 1.7 days for a Lego to pass through the human body https://thetakeout.com/study-doctors-ate-lego-heads-how-long-to-pass-1830654582 Unsure how this affects investment values.4 points

Great price for the build. I don't think too many will make it to deep clearance. Could follow a path similar to Avengers Tower EOL.4 points

I think it's not a question of whether or not it's a good deal. What matters is that YOU want to build it. If you want to build it one day, then that makes it a good dea as far as I'm concerned.4 points

General adjustments usually get refunded faster than 45 days. They are for when a customer really complains. Not uncommon to see refunds for 5 or 6 times an items price if the customer complains hard enough. Say a customer moans that they had to go buy a replacement from somewhere else because Amazon screwed up that cost them alot more and time and gas. Amazon will pay them off to keep them happy and buying from Amazon. It is a good idea to comb through everything at the end of each quarter to make sure Amazon has reimbursed you everything they owe. You will be surprised how many reimbursements "slip" through the cracks.2 points

Amazon seems to have multiple listings for the 60198 cargo train... the one that was on sale went out of stock, but one I had saved in my cart weeks ago was still in stock, but at full price. However, that one now dropped 30% to $160.99. Here's the link https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07C39LCZ9/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=12 points

Ah Amazon... Won't price adjust items purchased on Friday that are now $3 cheaper today... So I have to go through the process of cancelling and re-ordering if it hasn't shipped yet... Kind of obnoxious.2 points

Hot dang all of these deals.. I can't keep up with both buying and selling on the same day2 points

Keep in mind you'll want a Kmart near you if possible as none of the sale sets are eligible for free shipping. You'll need to pay to have your Kmart merchandise properly pancaked and destroyed.2 points

My youngest son has been working hard on selling some of his old sets and helping ole' Dad to earn extra money for the last few months. His ultimate goal was to save enough to buy the UCS Falcon. Well....thanks to good ole' Dad and Offer Up today, we scored him a BNIB UCS Falcon with the handle and wheels on the box in perfect condition for $600! An awesome score and an ecstatic kid!! I'm proud of his stick-to-it-iveness. I wish I had that kind of fiscal responsibility!! Awesome lesson learned!!2 points

I agree. It looks sweet. Apparently you and I are the only two that share this opinion. Where the heck were you when I had over 50 of them to unload? I could have hooked you up. I should have donated them to your kids' school raffle, but I doubt there would have been much interest in a pallet of steam rollers. Anyway, back to the deals...1 point

When Amazon was giving me some trouble this morning, I visited Blinq and was able to grab 2 of 76052 for $110 each, so you may want to wait a bit and see if it drops back down further.1 point

It might not be lego. I'm not familiar with any piece like that, and lego typically mounts their crane or tipper parts differently, so that they cant be separated. Have you looked on the bottom of either the gray or red part for a part number? For example, on the underside of the green duplo brick you should be able to see "3011" as the part number. Are there similar numbers on the other pieces? If so, you should be able to search bricklink by part number to find the set it came from. HTH.1 point

It's also important to recognize that both PS and PC were at their prime while the interest in Lego investing was pretty high. At the time, the most comparable sets for post-EOL price comparisons were FB and GE, both of which did well enough in the after-life to justify rolling the dice on PS and PC. That fact led to an oversupply on the secondary market, which has kept prices down. Unless you think that people out there are buying as many BBs & DOs as they did PSs and PCs, they are not apt comparisons. I dumped all of my PSs and PCs when it became clear that they weren't going to follow the same trajectory as FB or GE and I haven't reinvested that money in any of the exclusives that are on the chopping block this year.1 point

I managed to make two separate orders of (1) plus free gift before it sold out. In all fairness maybe Lego should of reduced their limit of (5) to a limit of (2). Lego knew these would go fast and having a limit of 5 supports resellers and not little Jimmy's dad who just wants to build one. I realize this goes against most of the attitudes here as most of us are resellers, but morally it makes sense.1 point
