Hi everyone I wanted to showcase my Lego Ideas project, The Old Workhorse - Traction Engine. If you like the model I'd really appreciate it if you could please vote for it https://ideas.lego.com/projects/2a2ec583-9836-4868-8dc7-6b3bb0a2fe80 "A roaring fire and a full head of steam, the old traction engine is ready for work!" I have created a scene set some time during the early 20th century. Farmers are working in the fields with their steam traction engine, affectionately known as "The Old Workhorse". The model includes a detailed mini fig scale traction engine, a wagon and various other accessories and mini builds. THE TRACTION ENGINE The main feature of the model is the traction engine itself. I've used a classic green and red livery with polished brass lining and details. There are several interesting parts used to create this engine including paint roller handles and mini fig syringes used to create the piping around the boiler and inside the cab. A system of cogs ensures that the flywheel spins around as the traction engine is pushed forward. A detailed cab interior includes steering wheel, controls and a firebox door that can be opened and closed to reveal the burning fire inside. The front wheel axle can be pivoted left and right. THE WAGON I've also included a wagon/trailer that can be coupled to the back of the traction engine and used to carry the various accessories included with the model. The sides of the wagon can be dropped down to provide loading access for the mini figs. There is space at the front of the wagon to hold tools and mini fig accessories. MINIFIGURES & OTHER ACCESSORIES Included with the model are 2 mini figs, a dog, a rat and several mini builds including tree stumps, logs and rocks. These are all designed to be carried and towed in the wagon. LEGO IDEAS Thanks very much for reading this. I hope you like the model. I've created a gallery album containing more pictures of the model if you'd like to check them out. https://community.brickpicker.com/gallery/album/310-the-old-workhorse-traction-engine/ If you would like to vote for the model on LEGO Ideas then here is the link to my page. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/2a2ec583-9836-4868-8dc7-6b3bb0a2fe80. Thank you very much! ☺️12 points

Walmart is in the middle of a big reset so they may be holding inventory in the back until they are finished.2 points

but of course you understand the waytf over RRP markup that most brickpickers hope and dream of one day gouging getting for the same said set, right? ??2 points

There’s a few too many red flags. The brand is listed as hadesse. The address on the website points to the Texas State Capital Building. The info pages are badly written. Sounds like a scam. Best case scenario you get a bogus bricks set. Oh and also the phone number provided is a forwarding number prompting you to enter a new phone number.1 point

Apples to oranges...I live for the deliciously delicious freshly squeezed orange juice!1 point

I've never understood this whole "over RRP" markup that various US stores slap onto desirable sets. In Canada, it's all RRP at TRU, other major retailers, and even at small independent toy shops.1 point

It’s a psychological thing, people are my inclined to purchase if they think they are in control of the transaction. Also people like to add items to their cart to maximise coupons/vouchers. I’ll leave it off for the time being, but normally flick it on around September to maximise the Christmas rush (cuts out failed sales in peak periods).1 point

Our B&N was well stocked with HP sets. No minifigures. The build event was a disorganized mess. But my daughter did get to build her little HE. Cute minibuild. Got a certificate of completion too. Hope if there are future LEGO build events, they get it together better than today. Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker Forum mobile app1 point

Built the CR-90 Corvette Transporter to add to my Rebel fleet. Just under 3,000 pieces and a credit to the designer Mortesev.1 point

Walmart Canada has reduced these to $119.89 (about $90USD)...usually a decent indication that these are on the way out. At least from my experience.1 point

I put my first ever pre-order in for this thing today. Not sure why, I just watched the first movie last week.1 point

By the way, bad news for those who have not made requests yet! We are completely out of boxes to sell for pre-orders! I can sell sets of 16 still, but I cannot complete any further invoices on the boxes or sets of 6. Sorry! We will do our best to procure more inventory and post again as soon as we have more stock.1 point

Glad to hear you are a pro and have been through this rodeo before period I assume so but figured it was worth asking as we have seen some folks come to that realization painfully. The more I think about selling just a few sets the more I like the idea. You can really focus and streamline as you said buying the same packing materials the same boxes etc. If you know a particular set is going to be a winner why not go big? Make sense to me.1 point

If it seems to good to be true........ Prepare for cancellations! BTW......this is my 1000th post!!! Only took me 5.5 years!1 point

Ouch... The mysterious #57 reveals itself. Seems legit, but could be a hoax. Maybe this gets a Canada release if true. Instructions can be found here:https://www.lego.com/biassets/bi/6242059.pdf1 point

Almost done with Superheroes sets. Sold 4 on Bricklink(1xDaily Bugle, 2x X-Men vs. The Sentinel, and 1x Doc Ock Ambush) for $195. Buy in was around $115, but these have been in the inventory for AWHILE now. Glad to see only one red Marvel box left.1 point
