  1. Built this gem today. Picked it up on fb for $150 and had to (sarcasm) verify completeness. Sweet set

  2. I have my kids blow out the dust daily. That’s how they earn their own LEGO sets.

  3. Lol. Emma, Olivia, and Livi and their respective houses would all beg to differ. Silent marry looks like a flying Tower of Orthanc. Will have a very small narrow after market in my opinion. i wouldn't even buy 1 to invest in.

  4. Just like any reasonable person, I need more evidence before I rev up my outrage engine I am more interested in how Lord & Miller going to lampoon Solo after how KK treated them over at LucasFilm. I would not be surprised if the bad guy/girl in TLM2 is (not so) loosely based on Madam KK

  5. I assume the box art will be epic! Also very interested in the mechanism to build Voltron! What do you think? Will we get mini figures as well?

  6. Had a €10 discount on LEGO sets coupon from (Dutch) Bol.com. Applied it on 60166 Heavy-Duty Rescue Helicopter, which was already priced down from €50 to €26, so I got it for €16.

  7. Sold a Hogwarts Castle 4th edition and Burrow for $340 after fees and everything. Buy-in was a used lot for $120. $220 profit AND fun builds, so that's a plus!

  8. Yes.. given the Disney Castle and Ghostbusters.. how many ppl you think would be so freaked out to happily purchase a 350-450 USD set?? Whoever wanted it - got it by now. Ghostbusters are kind of a sentiment piece for a generation that saw first two GB movies.. I doubt that nowadays teenagers give a damn about that movie in a sense that would truly like to have that. And what is your ideal scenario in a case that somebody truly would buy it? Would you get 20 % profit after fees? is that really worth that ?

  9. Well, that´s the problem then. Those bags are hard as bullets and any impact just crushes the weakest point (the internal box or a corner of the outer box or both).

  10. Silent Mary is more Piggy´s Pirate Ship than Queen Anne´s Revenge in terms of resale potential.

  12. The older trains are IR powered so it could be low batteries or something blocking the signal. Have you tried connecting the battery box directly to the train motor? If that works then the problem is with the IR receiver or transmitter.

  14. I would buy now, at this rate even single day passes will probably sell out in advance. 5 day passes are already sold out, but you can still buy single day passes. Plus, they are $10 more at the door...

  15. I'll take "fraud", for $500, Alex. Most sellers will probably not ask for the item to be returned, but if they do, M.H. will send back garbage bricks. Sounds like M.H. is a drop-shipper, selling on a different platform (w*lm*rt maybe? that's were my most frequent drop shippers list) and sourcing from Amazon. Customer gets the product, M.H. files a return, banks the money from the customer, but 'buy in' is near zero once the Amazon return goes through. In other words, fraud.

  16. Well kids, 5-day passes SOLD OUT already. I really hope they limited tickets more this time. The crowds in Orlando in 2017 were insane.

  17. I've had the same issue with some of my shipments that were delivered last week. When I look at the details the individual items in the shipment show as received by Amazon and in FC transfer.

  22. You'll definitely want to go for something that goes EOL sooner. Keep in mind OFS is a Ideas theme & $200 set like SM dont have the same ROI as the used too. I'm sitting on a couple dozen Simpsons house & if I had to do it all over again I would've picked up more architecture sets that went eol over the last 2 years. I'm done with $200 sets.

  25. Yep ... seller account disabled, got notified an hour ago. "We had to remove this listing from the site and you're not required to complete the transaction. If you've already sent payment, the sale should process as normal and you don't have anything to worry about. If you have any questions about delivery, please check tracking or contact your seller. If you run into any trouble along the way eBay is here to help. Please visit the Resolution Center to help resolve any problems you may encounter. This user is no longer registered on eBay." Gave EBay a call, they've refunded the purchase cost and gave me a coupon for the value of the 20% coupon I used. Phew.

  36. I thought it was fine - low on the list of Star Wars movie for me but still a fun & entertaining addition to the universe. Pros Some nice humor and subtle nods to greater Star Wars universe The action scenes didn't disappoint - I especially liked the train sequence Donald Glover was great as Lando, as was Woody Harrelson, Thandie Newton & Paul Bettany in their roles Cons The voice acting for the CGI characters was brutal. Jon Favreau didn't work for me at all, I almost laughed out loud when Lady Proxima spoke, and the sassy robot character just annoyed me Emilia Clarke - overrated as an actress and she bored the heck out me in this film. Though that was partially the writers' fault Felt too long by 20-30 minutes Just so so Alden Ehrenreich as Solo - I thought he was fine but I never felt like I was watching Han Solo. It felt like it was a movie about a different guy with the same name - he didn't capture the character for me, but I'm not sure anyone could have. Definitely a lot of "don't think too hard about this" writing. The whole time they were pulling of the main heist I just kept thinking "Really? It's this easy to rob something so valuable?" I understand the need for expediency to a degree but I would have gladly sacrificed some of the action for a more sophisticated story

  38. March 30, 2018. This is a date that will forever be remembered. I can get a little emotional at times. As an adult, there are a few instances when I've shed a tear. I cried when my son was born. I cried again a year later when my daughter was born. I cried tears of joy when my beloved Green Bay Packers won Super Bowl 31 after three decades of mediocrity, and again when they won Super Bowl 45. The last time I cried was two years ago this April when my Mom passed away. March 30, 2018. Today is another day that I've sobbed like a baby. Upon waking up for work, I checked my phone like I always do. Waiting for me was a PayPal notification. A large one. I checked my Bricklink account, and it appears that some blessed soul has decided that they needed some Steam Rollers in their life. Yes, some Steam Rollers. All of them. 27 to be exact. Gone. Purchased by an unknown person. A risk taker. A gambler. A guardian angel, perhaps? I began this saga with over 50 of those Steam Rollers. I'd sell one here, one there through multiple platforms, slowly chipping away at that number. I whittled it down to 27. Now I have 0. They are gone. The purchase price was just a shade over $1k. I'll make a few bucks on each one after the usual fees and shipping, but that's not the point in this circumstance. The nightmare is finally over. March 30, 2018 is my Independance Day.

  39. Correct. The newer windscreen looks slightly better but it's nothing like the functional problem that WALL-E's neck had. The original version of 10242 is a fine looking model. Just that the front windscreen has sides that are slightly protruding in the door openings which was fixed with the newer windscreen. For (European) resellers like TabbyBoy who want to go the extra mile for their valued customers, here's the new windscreen part that can be ordered through Bricklink https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?id=148290&idColor=13&view=buy&ccName=6133615#T=S&C=13&O={"color":13,"ss":"NL","reg":"-1","iconly":0}

  42. You're saying they discounted so heavily before because they were felling generous? And not because they needed to clear slow moving sets / remaining stock? What company does that? Lego isnt a charity. they do promos, point and occasional event driven discounts (Black Friday). Thats their attempt at generosity. my view is they discount heavily to deal with problems. When things are okay they don't discount something. But that's ok to disagree of course. Everyone entitled to their view.

  46. Short production would be key to its success. I think it'll do alright. Better than Adventure time or Birds. I think in the long run, even better than the Maze. I'm sure I'm alone in thinking like that.
