  1. Lol.....had that happen before. Same buyer kept sending the same stupid low, as in 50%+ off low. Finally I countered above my listing price and he stopped.

Don't seem to remember Darth Maul having a propeller on his back.
  5. On behalf of those of us who weren't grandfathered in and can't sell Junior sets at x5 rrp at the holidays.
  6. It’s actually a common tactic, at least what I’ve found. Buyer harasses seller with the same lowball offer, hoping to wear them down. Doesn’t usually work, but when it does they win and we lose. I block them if it happens more than once or twice. Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker Forum mobile app

A buildable Super Battle Droid & 501st Clone Trooper + ATRT. As a collector of these, I'm pretty gutted they aren't coming. Shame we never got Leia & the Droids, too. They were probably cancelled for a number of reasons - Some were a bit weak, they weren't really Lego & generally just not selling well. They were clearing K2SO & Death Troopers for £5 at Smyths.
  11. you just gotta believe in the power of positive thinking
  12. R2 will be $600 by Christmas, boy we heard that one before.
  13. It appears that the Force has indeed "Awakened".
  14. Still can’t believe that a telly tubby is the best pilot in the resistance.
  15. Yup, I agree with you and @Val-E that both 10247 (FW) and 75827 (GBHQ) are high likely to retire by end of this year. So ... a list of the "Hard to Find Items" on LEGO Shop at Home that have a high chance to retire would be: 75827 GBHQ 75060 Slave-1 10247 FW 10243 PR 10242 Mini Cooper And ... if 21137 (Minecraft Mountain Cave) follows the same pattern of 21128 The Village, then 21137 will retire by end of 2018 like 21128 retired by end of 2017.

  18. I have done this twice where it was obvious that they had missed a space or added extra information like an extra town or state. Both times I have contacted the buyer and received a response so at least I had some documentation. Have not had any problems. If this were on a large order, I would not go through with it until the buyer made the change, but on a $20 or less order, it's probably worth the risk especially if you get some sort of response.
  19. i built these two Dragon Sanctuary today. I bought one on auction on ebay ($93) and got another one on CL ($60). Both were 100% complete with boxes and manuals. Sealed ones are way too expensive.
  20. I'm glad it wasn't since I could buy one for $150 when I finally got around to it in the fall.

  22. So the "PO" stands for "Penis Out"? He looks very proud either way!
  23. What he is saying is that you basically have to be an authorized retailer to sell LEGO if you weren't grandfathered in a couple years ago. There's a whole thread on Amazon FBA that should catch you up.
  24. resistance x-wing is already up to $120 fba. both this set and resistance x-wing will make it to $150 by the end of the year. resistance x-wing microfighter is one of my top performing investments of 2017. $5 buyin, lowest FBA: $27.95. its nothing short of a miracle that the seller count on both x-wings is well under 100. barring any EXACT remakes, i don't see how these won't do well.
  25. Officially diverged from just SW collecting (the turd to gem rate has shifted a bit much in the last 18 months) into Exclusives. Went into store and told them I already own every SW set I want and asked if they'd throw in a Vader pod if I spent the threshold. Didn't take much schmoozing. Bought Parisian Restaurant with both promos.
  26. Rumor has it that they’re waiting until the gift cards expire. Makes sense to me.
  27. Went in to WM to grab a few 10715 at $10 to go with my booklets. Walked out with this: Brick bank $80 Fishing store $70 Go Kart $14
  28. Alright I'll post. I got a used, complete and boxed 75054 AT-AT from Gumtree for £58 delivered.

Surely you've been around long enough to realize the miraculous price escalation of Raptor Escape will never be seen again in this line....Everyone and their grandmother's cat will be looking for "The Next RE" this time around. There will be 500x the sellers when this line retires. Game over man.

  37. You have 7 months to get the Porsche so just wait till it comes in at a good price eg sub 200 euros.
  38. Logic says that the Porsche will go first as big Technic sets only last 2.5 years and the Chiron will be out in the summer. Ass Square should be the last, but you never know if Lego will spring another Town Hall on us due to poor sales. There is still time to get all of these sets but if you see one at a good discount (e.g. Target Ass Square mistake) then don´t procrastinate.
  39. 10243 Parisian Restaurant came out in 2014. 10246 Detective Office was 2015 modular. Parisian should go before DO, if you buy into that logic but other factors could be at play . PR has lower sales rank on amazon than DO, or BB so that would favor retirement possibly. but.... Assembly Square has lowest sales rank of all currently available modulars sold by amazon.com - that big price tag automatically reduces the market demand. For the BTP with access to wholesale catalogs and other private knowledge, life is but a dream. For the rest of us peons, its all a guess and paying attention to retailer stock outages and different countries LEGO Shop at Home websites. buy correctly move inventory and watch your cagr grow. choose poorly, you bought deep into iron golem head fake and you got a nice dust collection going. when the time is right, the big time people will pass the word on down from up yonder high so us mere mortals can scrounge the remaining morsels and seed shells to wring out the retail supply and provide a nice post EOL bump.
  40. My guess would bee the Parisian Restaurant or Porsche.
  41. £7 from a carboot sale, had to replace some missing parts on Bricklink though, total buy-in was around £30.
  42. Built this from my childhood collection. Had to BL a couple of plates, but man it sure brought back some memories. Miss you pops.
