I think I ran in to a brickpicker in Target this afternoon - hiding in the back aisle with a new box of minifigs in the cart while frantically smooshing bags ?2 points

204-00-1379 is the 9 digit code on my receipt - that's the DPCI, right?2 points

According to a woman I met today while smooshing bags, the Meijer nearest me put them out a week early. Of course, "I heard it from a random stranger" does sound a lot like "I heard it from a LEGO store employee," so take that as you will. And, yes, @terrymc4677, that appears to be where the policeman is always located.2 points

Here is the distribution by box: 5 - Red Brick Suit, Blue Brick Suit 4 - Elephant Suit, Fireworks/Rocket, Red Dragon Suit, Spider Suit, Birthday Cake, Flowerpot, Cowboy, Blue Unicorn 3 - Party Clown, Birthday Party (Girl), Cactus, Cat Suit, Race Car, Birthday Party (Boy) 1 - Classic Policeman Per box: You will get 3 complete sets, 1 classic policeman and 12 extras (61 bags).2 points

Great set. Small but doesn't feel so over priced after it's built. $5 per minifig, a lot of trans-colored pieces as well as tiles, licensing fees and you can see where the pricing comes from. Quorra feels a little left out without her Light Runner though. The Lego Store had quite a few this afternoon when I stopped by. The only other people I saw buying were AFOL types.2 points

March 30, 2018. This is a date that will forever be remembered. I can get a little emotional at times. As an adult, there are a few instances when I've shed a tear. I cried when my son was born. I cried again a year later when my daughter was born. I cried tears of joy when my beloved Green Bay Packers won Super Bowl 31 after three decades of mediocrity, and again when they won Super Bowl 45. The last time I cried was two years ago this April when my Mom passed away. March 30, 2018. Today is another day that I've sobbed like a baby. Upon waking up for work, I checked my phone like I always do. Waiting for me was a PayPal notification. A large one. I checked my Bricklink account, and it appears that some blessed soul has decided that they needed some Steam Rollers in their life. Yes, some Steam Rollers. All of them. 27 to be exact. Gone. Purchased by an unknown person. A risk taker. A gambler. A guardian angel, perhaps? I began this saga with over 50 of those Steam Rollers. I'd sell one here, one there through multiple platforms, slowly chipping away at that number. I whittled it down to 27. Now I have 0. They are gone. The purchase price was just a shade over $1k. I'll make a few bucks on each one after the usual fees and shipping, but that's not the point in this circumstance. The nightmare is finally over. March 30, 2018 is my Independance Day.2 points

70919 The Justice League Anniversary Party Simple build, lots of fun though. Love Hawkgirl, El Dorado, Green Arrow and Wonder Dog. All in for that reason alone. I think I’ll put it aside for the Winter Village.1 point

My son wanted to go straight to the assembly line model and I told him no. The app is really good if you let it guide you. After some motivation he built the "Vernie" model by himself and had a blast with it. The programming aspect is simplified but fun compared to Mindstorm.1 point

Much to my dismay, we had some Boost action going on today. My son said he’d “program” if I built it. FYI - numbered bags don’t help if you start the third project in. I did lots of bag fishing for parts.1 point

I think you might get varying opinions on this. Basically, come up with a logic system that makes sense to you and then shoot for that. I go by theme, but depending on the size of the theme (star wars has a lot) I'll subdivide by size a bit as well to maximize shelf volume. And just remember, probably common knowledge but whenever possible, stack them like books on their spine, not on top of one another!1 point

I refuse to to take part in a lego construction set that part of the set is a cardboard part or display. Don't think its a McDonald's happy meal. How cheap can they get to manipulate money out of peoples pockets.1 point

Last night I finished building the Parisian Restaurant while drowning my sorrows after the KU loss. I love all the small details, especially in the top level. This was my first modular and I’m hooked. I can’t say I wasn’t warned!1 point

Walmart Customer Service MANAGER Raveonne: "Can I help you?" Me (Handing her the mouse, USB insert, and receipt): "I'm hoping I can return this. I don't have the packaging, but it just doesn't work right at all." Raveonne (Turning the mouse over multiple times like it's the first time she's ever seen one of these fantastic pieces of technology and then taking the USB insert): "This goes with it?" Me: "Yeah" Raveonne: "Do you have the packaging for it?" Me: "No, I don't have the packaging." Raveonne (Still gazing in wonder at the dysfunctional technology bestowed upon her): "Huh. Well, if you can go find the number..." Raveonne: "This is the receipt for it?" Me "Yes, that's it." Raveonne: "Is there a reason you are returning it?" Me: "Like I said, it doesn't work, it's all messed up..." Raveonne: "Huh" (She turns it over a couple more times). From here on she semi-competently scans the receipt, asks me if I have the Visa I used to pay, enters the item number for the return, says "that's weird, it don't take it" twice (once before and once after slowly, methodically reciting each number out loud as she emphatically presses the corresponding key), then mysteriously tells me "Ready for your card" and processes the refund, takes a piece of clear packing tape and completely mauls it while trying to tape the mouse, USB insert, and receipt together, and after laying it in a heaping sticky pile, finishes with "Have a wonderful day." I'm so confused, I don't know whether to be upset at her and her employer for the complete lack of listening skill displayed by someone in this position, impressed and happy that my return was accepted without original packaging, dismayed at the void of common sense within this individual, or mad at myself for keeping it in my brain this long.1 point

Welcome to the Grid folks. The designers were in their early 20ties or so. Nice blokes tho. I had to wait in queue about 2h to get this set signed. Masses of people were hoarding like crazy. The old fishing store hasn't received such recognition like this set hands down. This might be an indicator for TLG in the future... Oh - it's my 1000 post here, anniversary time1 point

Missed the really really good deals at Target this morning. However, I was able to snag two Destiny Bounty for $99 each. When I went to pick up at my local store they still had one more on the shelf (although website said their inventory was zero). I took that one up to customer service and asked if they would price match the $99 price of the two I was picking up (by this time the price was back up to regular retail). They were nice enough to price match. Picked up two Batman Knight Crawler as well for $20 each. Bad thing was they slapped pick up labels on my Destiney boxes. I got 95% of the residue off with a hair dryer and some eyeglasses cleaner. =(1 point

After reading the Brickset review, I think this is a great set, but the price-point is a bit lacking as mentioned by others. https://brickset.com/article/34974/review-21314-tron-legacy1 point

I graciously give credit where due to the original Ideas project's creators as their build was quite good. However theirs was a display build with a number of open gaps (the spacious wheels for example) not stable towards any real sort of handling or play. Same as many other submissions, it simply was not a readily made design for the general consumer requiring a number of changes. Here LEGO closed up everything streamlining the build very well with the riders leaning forward as opposed to dropped sitting into a seating area. The handlebars are higher up than they should be but that is the fault of the minifigure's proportions. Only complaint would be the price though there are a handful of somewhat large parts not to mention all the printing across the translucent dishes and the "rooster tail" kind of tacked on there but I honestly cannot think of anything better without adding a lot of unnecessary bits to the build. Now as usual with any set featuring a good amount of translucent pieces in the design, I can hardly wait to see these under a black light.1 point

This set looks like a combo of two polybags put together from Monthly "Lego Magazine Issue". @Ed Mack yes I do agree, probably little exaggerated their financial situation but still if they are so profitable why they had to lay off more than 10% of their employees if they are still sleeping on a pile of cash... anyway we are the first one to pay the price for their strategic mistakes.1 point

A lot of needless ranting about a $35 Ideas set. I guarantee it will sell a lot better than the $200 Voltron set. Is it a great set? Nah, but what else do you think they could've done with the original submission? At least we're getting two light cycles and three nice minifigs. It's overpriced but we all know it will be 20% off in a couple of months or less. Listen, Lego knows that if they priced this at $25 the resellers would buy it out day one and be quick flipping on ebay for $50. I think $30 would be more fair but I'll still probably pick it up upon release.1 point

I usually don't care about the price if I find value in the design of the set. This is a set that I could have made. I am not knocking the designer, just saying for an Ideas set, it does not meet up to past standards. I would rather have paid another $20.00 for a well done set, than a set that looks like you would find if you combined two polybags.1 point
