I don't know if I'm a "trusted seller" or not, but if an established member like DadsAFOL needed something in a pinch and I had the inventory, I'd be more than happy to help out.7 points

The discounts will be continually disappointing until closure.5 points

Update... All packages have shipped. I really hope everyone enjoys their prizes and bonus sets. I look forward to seeing pictures of the sets built. Once again, I would like to thank everyone who contributed. It is always fun and "stressful" watching the donations come in. I look forward to next year...I still have a ton more sets to raffle off!5 points

My son still has gifts from Christmas just sitting in his room...not opened or played with. All he wants is an XBOX card(s).4 points

Tron is one of my favorite all time movies being a computer nerd and all ... For $24.99 CAD this set rocks (even if the original was better, this has two light cycles), for $29.99 CAD it's OK. At $44.99 CAD, LEGO can kiss my ass.3 points

Nope, this is to the new/sealed stuff that's unopened. Sometimes it just disappears. You can blame them later for misplacing it, if asked.3 points

My son does that sometimes too. I've sold stuff still on his shelf and he didn't even notice.3 points

This right here. The longer you are on the board, the better you get to know some of the regulars. Those that contribute, show honesty, and are, in generally, just all around good dudes, will certainly find willing helpers when the time comes. That's also because they're willing to step up and help out when the time comes, too.3 points

That Chewbacca OMG that is so bad. It is hilarious, like some deformed puppy. And what are those tentacles below his mouth. And that foresk.. I mean forehead. What was LEGO thinking? WHY?3 points

Knowing TRU, those "discounts" will make the sets their normal retail value. ?2 points

We've done this when throwing stuff out too .. "I asked you to pick it up and clean up your mess... Don't blame me because you can't find it."2 points

Used Big Ben Creator 10253 with Instructions, no box (probably will disassemble, inventory and clean pieces, and build to keep) Used UCS R2-D2 10225 with Instructions, no box (will disassemble, inventory and clean pieces, and try to resell) Combine from same seller $150 from Facebook Market. Both appear to be complete sets. About a quarter inch of dust included too.?2 points

A lot of needless ranting about a $35 Ideas set. I guarantee it will sell a lot better than the $200 Voltron set. Is it a great set? Nah, but what else do you think they could've done with the original submission? At least we're getting two light cycles and three nice minifigs. It's overpriced but we all know it will be 20% off in a couple of months or less. Listen, Lego knows that if they priced this at $25 the resellers would buy it out day one and be quick flipping on ebay for $50. I think $30 would be more fair but I'll still probably pick it up upon release.1 point

NASA probably paid Lego to license their sets. No way would the Apollo rocket be a $120 set otherwise.1 point

Went to the Raleigh store today. Nothing on sale. Pretty good selection of Lego. Most stuff at or over rrp. Wanted to grab a couple small Speed Champs but they were $2 over rrp. Will settle for LEGO Shop at Home on those. I took my niece who turns three on Sunday. Told her she could get anything she wanted. She went easy on me, a bubble wand and $13 toy microwave. We spent over an hour and looked in every isle. She had a blast riding bikes and throwing balls around. Hope they can save some stores, I would love to do that for her birthday every year.1 point

The TRU Reddit feed is reporting the Liquidation should start Friday 3/23. Manager at TRU stating that fixture liquidation probably wont start until 30-days into the closings, but that was up to the company handling the liquidation to determine what can and can't go. EDIT: http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-toys-r-us-larian-20180322-story.html Who knows what will happen tomorrow regarding the liquidation?.1 point

I have done that before, but to their open toys. I let them know about it recently and now they do a quick inventory every time they clean up their toys.1 point

Yeah, well. They don't carry any Carousels in store. Can't hurt to try.1 point

To react to your second part, I think that in general sellers on here are pretty secretive about anything they are holding medium/long term as a legitimate investment, because they want to reduce the number of other sellers holding significant inventory. I've made a couple of exceptions to the rule (like 41125, my personal favorite), but in general I follow that pattern as well. That's pretty simple supply/demand. For QFFL-type situations, it seems folks are fairly open, if for no other reason than because the deals are fairly self-evident or aren't easily scalable (like a WM clearance).1 point

I agree and I also love cooking but I always feel the need to clean up while I'm cooking just to avoid the giant mess at the end. Thank goodness for pizza! The clean up after making dessert is even worse... [emoji4]1 point

The grandaddy of them all: Voltes V !! The storyline had great stuffs: sibling rivalries, teamwork, giant mecha, tech based enemy, even RACISM, all in 40x 1/2 hour episodes for kids (30+ years later and I still remember the ending )1 point
