  2. Got the figs today. Quickly checked Fett, Lando and Luke. Figures are in great condition. Even Lando's cape is in great shape. Checked Fett's neck pegg and Lego in imprinted on it. Everything looks to be legit. First ever really good Lego score

  3. From reading the past couple dozen pages, if they only left out the Leia Poppins character, Finn, Poe, Rose, Snoke, Benicio Del Toro character, Commander Whateverhernameis, blue milk thingamajiggers, and broom boy...the movie would have kicked ass. Am I correct?

  4. I do not hate it. The movie was just so imbalanced. The good parts were pretty good but the bad dragged it down. The movie had a lot potential to be a lot better. For example, if they just cut the whole pointless Poe, Finn, DJ, and Rose subplots and added a little bit more discussion between Luke and Rey about the Force, the movie would have been much more tight. Also, it did not help when the animated show (SW Rebels) easily had the better storyline and execution than both TFA and TLJ combined. Maybe I am spoiled by how good Rebels was, but why shouldn't I expect Disney to do as good as job with the mainline movies as well ?

  5. You know what confuses me: how some people can't seem to grasp that other people saw a movie and had a different reaction to it than they did. Some movies just polarise opinion. This is one of those movies. The exceptional thing with The Last Jedi is that it was preceded by a 40-year body of work that many people had an emotional investment in. You f**k around with that kind of investment at your peril.

  6. I'll take prequels and Ewoks over these new films. (Not counting Rouge One that was awesome). Why does everyone hate on the Ewoks? I loved them when I was little.

  9. Is there a way that Rian could have really won, though? If he writes to expectations, then the story was predictable, the writing was weak, I could see things coming from a mile away, it was all wanky fan service. If he writes against expectations, then he s**t on the franchise, he wrecked the characters, he destroyed the franchise, he didn’t do what the fans want.

  10. It's the equivalent of their box number so the package gets to them. Usually will have there name and then the box code. Sometimes it will be below the address to as well as in there name. That one has never been an issue.

  12. Yeah, I always figure you need to build in a 2 year hold (at least) to make any real money on the CMFs. And I've already come across one preorder on ebay offering the police officer at $50 OBO. I think the idea of the series is that it's a birthday party for the policeman. I guess he's the minifigure turning 40?

  13. All the buzz is going to the UCS version... don't forget about this one! The second Lego "kid-sized" Hulkbuster has 375 pc, and four minifigs: Bruce Banner, Falcon, Proxima Midnight and an Outrider. Retail US$29.99. Spoiler alert: It's old news to Marvel / Infinity War fanboys, but a surprise to me: even the Lego shop calls it "Bruce Banner's Hulkbuster"... there is no Ironman minifig, and no Tony Stark in this set. In the new movie Infinity War, apparently Bruce Banner (the Hulk) is piloting the Hulkbuster suit. After learning this I took a closer look at the trailer (below)... you can see a short clip at 1:29 in the trailer where the Hulkbuster leaps into the scene in classic Hulk style. Trailer:

  14. So disappointed as I was hoping my man Dave Filoni to have a chance like that. He more than proved himseld IMHO. KK likes to bring in big name directors/writers only to butthead with them later on

  15. And more BB8 on AT-ST blowing up FO Stormtroopers Seriously, the movie lacked the scenes of FO Stormtroopers getting their asses handed to them

  17. I've heard them, you oughta hear the self-serving podcaster shills who are afraid to say anything critical, in fear that the Big Mouse will shut them down.

  18. I already pre-ordered the steelbook for this and I know I'll watch it a couple times. I honestly did enjoy TLJ a lot, even though it was radically different from anything I had expected. I grew up with the original trilogy on VHS and remembered seeing the Special Edition in theatres so it's always stuck with me growing up. At the end of the day, Star Wars is escapism from life. If I can enjoy myself in salty battles, quasi-monastic laser sword-wielding monks, and impossible navigational odds, then I'm good.

  19. I'm still buying in a couple weeks, I'm still watching again too. I can fast forward to certain scenes, like I do in AOTC. I usually go straight to the Geonosis battle when watching it. The dialogue, oh, the dialogue.

  20. If members still don't understand why a lot of star wars fans hated the movie, just look at 1 of the 1000s of rant videos on youtube. Most get why fans despised the movie.

  22. This trilogy could have won by not being so derivative of the original. They looked at the reaction to the prequels and incorrectly concluded that fans don’t want anything different, when the lesson was don’t make it childish. So now we are stuck with remaking the original trilogy but with slight twists. “This is he Death Star. This is Starkiller base.” Argh. To me the best situation would have been theee new directors directing a new Lucas script. Instead they are directing an old one.

  24. I'm obviously looking at the OT through rose-colored glasses that are subjectively put on a pedestal due to nostalgia. Despite that I expected more from the new Star Wars. We got another Death Star, a first movie that was submerged in ANH plot lines, a disjointed second film with inconsequential and distracting side stories (Finn & Rose), and "The Resistance" which was woefully outgunned and outnumbered despite defeating the Empire in the OT. Disney has done a masterful job of being consistent with their direction and the quality of the films they are producing in the Marvel universe. Star Wars is far from that so far, but it's still early.

  25. Loved Rey in TFA, I considered her the best sci-fi female character (lead) since Ripley in “Alien”. In TLJ they were stuck with no chase for more than half the film, while sending someone off to get the key maker from “The Matrix: Reloaded”, all while Rey is pouting on an island with a geriatric Luke. She does finally get tired and visits Kylo and Snoke, but she really doesn’t say or do much.

  31. The only thought I get when looking at this picture is that the "cargo hold" in the front is where you stash your whores and bodies. I mean, why is she inside of there? I'll have to watch the movie to see if there is any other practical use for it. Just reminds me of this too much...

  34. Unfortunately, used sets rarely command a premium by including the box.... unless 1) the set is older and the box is rare or 2) it's just an awesome set and people want the box. You can find the value of the 'just the box' for many sets on Bricklink (https://www.bricklink.com/catalogTree.asp?itemType=O). A damaged box with tape on your info on them is now worth $0 because nobody will want to pay to ship something in bad condition like that (you may not want to be giving your move # and name to other people either). So for the boxes, the value on BLis the only real resource... I wouldn't rely on eBay. I don't know what boxes they are, but you could get lucky. Check out what these folks want for R2-D2 Boxes ... And that becomes the cost to replace yours and the value to the insurance company.

  36. Amazon hardly makes a profit, despite paying almost no taxes (at least not in the US), and yet he’s making billions? If I were an Amazon stock holder, I’d be getting pissed. When/if Amazon crashes, he’s not gonna go down with the ship. He’ll be the guy in the helicopter waving to his loyal crew as they sink to the bottom of the abyss.

  38. The truth is that JJ, Rian, Kennedy and Disney Inc. all conspired to give us TLJ long before it was put on film. Kennedy formed an all female writing committee going back to 2012: "Kathleen Kennedy founded the group in 2012 when she succeeded George Lucas as president of Lucasfilm, putting Kiri Hart, a former film and TV writer, in charge of the unit. Ms. Hart’s first move was to make the story group entirely female, starting with Rayne Roberts and Carrie Beck. Both women had experience in film development but had also worked in other arenas — Ms. Roberts in magazine publishing, and Ms. Beck with the Sundance Institute." https://www.nytimes.com/2017/12/22/movies/star-wars-last-jedi-women-run-universe.html Ms. Hart's resume isn't impressive: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1848009/#producer Really nothing of note before Star Wars which makes you question Kennedy's judgement putting her in charge of writing a Billion dollar franchise. Same goes for Rian Johnson. A nobody before Star Wars with only a couple of minor films under his belt. Nothing that interesting. My personal opinion is that The Force Awakens was a tease to get fans on-board with this agenda based new trilogy. If you don't like the direction of the new trilogy (and the Star Wars franchise in general) the best thing to do is just boycott future Star Wars films and products.

  40. I didn't want to say anything about the username but since you did perhaps try a change. I thought about changing mine to be more buyer friendly. We all can't have hundreds of followers that just buy anything we list so we have to try harder, Avis. I got rid of all my own pictures, they were low quality anyway, unless it was for a damaged set or a collectors item and went with stock photos. It seems eBay in an attempt to be more Amazon like is trending towards stock photos. They pushed back the removal of all watermarks to March 2018 and will not be enforcing listing removals but if you want your item to be featured in their deals or google shopping results it seems like stock photos are the way to go. I had not sold an Ewok Village all year long then the same exact listing got featured and they all sold within 3 hours and my price was around $30 - 50 more then the lowest BIN for NISB to help offset my free shipping.
