I got a great idea, we can make a 2 pack with a special box and make it limited for like a month , then make the same figures from that set and sell them individually a month later while the limited set is still out... oh damn looks like that idea was already taken3 points

Kmart allegedly has a 100% back on smart sense products promotion going on again: "Get 100% CASHBACK in points when you purchase $10 or more on any Smart Sense, Little Ones, Champion Breed, Cat & Co., Grey Wolf, Image Essentials, be bath escapes, or Essential Home products. Points valid for 14 days." I say allegedly because its not showing up for me when I add a bunch of stuff to my cart for store pickup. I won't have a chance to swing by a store until tomorrow, perhaps someone can report back if it works in stores before then.3 points

Is the Milano the new SH firestation? It´s not been a month since the last one retired.2 points

Another point is it´s unlikely to be a scammer (or at least a smart one) for such a low value set. Either the parts are genuinely missing, they misplaced them or they found it cheaper and want a refund. Even then, they´d probably just file a SNAD claim and be done with it. If they are willing to dialogue and provide info and photos then it is probably just a careless builder. Check out their feedback and other transactions.1 point

Ok, so it´s a small set with a low part count and no minifigs or expensive parts. Unlikely target for stealing parts so I´d bet on too much Xmas punch as the cause and some parts being lost by the builder. I´d try to draw them out by establishing which parts are missing and how many. If there really were missing parts, it´s likely they are from the same bag so ask them to confirm how many bags were inside etc etc. Give them enough rope to hang themselves or provide factual info soo you can request them from Lego CS:1 point

For a set that has been out for about two weeks I wouldn't worry too much at this stage... Sent from my SM-G950F using Brickpicker Forum mobile app1 point

Well if you are including 41492 the 2016 comic con exclusive then this is the third version of iron man so rant on1 point

We've seen that TLG like to keep their moneyspinners in production a looooong time. TB, DS, T1 ect. As a new move, they also seem to strategically combat the reseller market with their own trgeting of remakes of sets that have been investment superstars. Retireing this soon would seem to go against these grains of what TLG are all about. Why would they cut off a robust revenue stream and tee up the reseller scum for a windfall? Anathema to the Bilund brigade.1 point

How April? It was released last June, so surely June would be the earliest?1 point

It also went to sold out late December and came back. Strange things happening with this set, or Lego is toying with us..1 point

Im shocked no one likes the SH girls.. Some of my best flips came from SH Girl sets. 70-80 ROI and they sold FAST. as for OP. I wish i could find 50%+ off here in Canada. I would arm sweep every lego set I see If I got more then 50% off. It all comes down to what your comfort lvl is. If your ok with $500 then stop at 500. If you can hold onto 2K then good stop until you sell some. Then build up from your comfort lvl. Every set you sell allows you to go buy and replace it WITH the profits you made. In no time you will start to see your investment grow. And As everyone on here has said- Selling is truly the hardest part of all this. BUT once you get to the point where you NEED to sell you will find a way. At The end of the day ask yourself WHY are you collecting. Is it to make $$ if so then what kind of investor are you? flipper. long term ect ect. Is it to grow your personal collection? Once you have your reasons your comfort starting cash flow and what kind of collector you are then your set. If your hesitant now then I feel you may have jumped the gun and didn't finish your research on this subject.1 point

I considered it... but I think this will go the way I think and end badly for LEGO and their PR team.1 point

I feel like this was the more appropriate meme:1 point

It’s not a remake, it’s a different model. You sound like some one who just realized they bought too many iron man bhz. Don’t worry. The older one will do better than the newer model.1 point

picked up 3 Black Widow Brickheadz for $5.20. I know nobody likes these, but I'm hoping less people buy it so that I can make a few bucks profit in the future.1 point

Does anyone know if Lego put a number on the sets produced for each Ideas set? (due to the creator getting a percentage per sale I thought there could be a cut off) If so this set would be at its limit for sure.1 point

In my opinion, the plane is the best part of the set, wouldn't have bought a copy of the set if it weren't part of it.1 point

1x 60083 Snowplow Truck Amazon FBA for $53. This was my first buy for "investing" two years ago. I'd been reading the forums for awhile and I thought it was a cool set, and I remember seeing @exciter1 (who, after my reading, appeared to basically be a LEGO deity) post about it being available at Toys R US, so I took the plunge. It was also my first ill advised purchase as I got it for a total of about $18.50 with taxes. I bought a couple more for cheaper not long after, and then fellow BPers bought a lot more for a lot cheaper after that. I realized I didn't know as much as I thought, and learned a great lesson in the process. Thanks for the all you taught me Snowplow Truck, may you enjoy your new home...1 point

To be 100% Transparent, all said and done for the 30 with cost, currency exchange on credit card and shipping to US I am in these at roughly $10 each. It seems padded envelope, USPS First Class 1-3 ounces through paypal is $2.61. I have padded envelopes (amazon leftovers) so no cost. I would like to make a trivial amount for time and effort. With paypal as goods and services (with fees) at $15.36 shipped to you, I would make $2 after fees. If you paypal as friend/family the cost would be $14.61, again I would make $2 For now I will sell 20 of these. I think it would be easy if you message me and I can reply with my email to send paypal, unless you have other thoughts Thanks 1-exciter1 2-stackables 3-fleck 4-Alpinemaps 5-Huskers1236 6-Thanos75 7-B1ueseven 8-Rubysue74 9-Mr coat 10-Phil b 11-Legowalker 4 12-Thelovemachine 13-Thecollector 14-sharkbait 15-pstebbing? 16-Legoedison1 point

Mine too, the only questionable one I've had was the 75105 Falcon I got, the top corner is a tiny bit creased but not worth worrying about.1 point

I suppose as with anything there is always a chance. However the bigger underlying question, would the risk be worth your time, effort, and funds for a questionable potential? When the next sequel comes out and should there be some new sets available, newfound interest may find its way to the old offerings.1 point

There are plenty of reasons and/or ideas behind the unfortunate failure of the theme from the underperforming film to a conspiracy of LEGO Disney sets being cursed (as investments). Whatever the case may actually be, the sets did feature some neat minifigures and a nice assortment of pieces in "earthy" tones.1 point

Building the hamley U.K. Royal guard list. This is people that's said interested or messsaged. If you replied and it wasn't a firm I am interested you may not be on this list. i need to see if I have enough padded envelopes around or that may bump cost. More to come tomorrow after sorting out envelopes. 1-exciter1 2-stackables 3-fleck 4-Alpinemaps 5-Huskers1236 6-Thanos75 7-B1ueseven 8-Rubysue74 9-Mr coat 10-Phil b 11-Legowalker 4 12-Thelovemachine 13-Thecollector 14-sharkbait 15-pstebbing?1 point

I think so. I've seen ads on Facebook, IIRC. The lightning checkout option probably helps too, especially with those comparing to eBay and Amazon.1 point

Yeah, I've contacted him twice now and no response back yet. I just told him we can figure it out and I will file any claim he wants me to on my end, so we'll see what he says. I would assume he's actively looking into it right now! Thanks for the helpful advice and not immediately assuming I don't know how to use tape.... haha ?1 point

What about hate to Love. I HATE that I LOVE the 70751 Temple of Airjitzu. I have never had a Ninjago set and never intended too. But it's too awesome and I have to get it. So far I have resisted..but I won't be able to for much longer1 point
