  1. I've had BB8 built for a while now, but i finally finished up "rounding" or "anti-studding" him to better match my rounded dome R2. Didn't turn out as well as R2, but still happy with it. Mostly involved adding small tiles everywhere, but in some cases i did need to take the panels off and modify them a bit to hide some of the bigger studded pieces.
  2. Got them. Wife took pic. Need to figure out final cost
  3. Well not bought. But I did pay for the gas to go get it. We will call it $2.29.
  4. I’ve had 18 orders so far this month. Nine of them were (0) feed back. Two more had less than (3). Is BrickLink becoming more popular? So far so good. Had some slow payers. But surprised to have zero NPBs. And no complaints about shipping costs or requests to cancel.
  5. Brick Bank...and “laundery mat” ?
  6. Available to order online and for store pickup, if it's worth $5.99 to you .... https://www.toysrus.com/product?productId=45970A8B
  7. 75185 @ 39 - Tracker 70904@18 (aren’t these retired now) ? - Clayface (retired) 75139 @ £29 - Battle on Takodana (retired) 75171@38 - Battle on Scarif - (retired) 75532@£30 - Scout Trooper Speeder Bike Always worth mentioning set names to save others the trouble. All still seem a bit steap still, scout trooper is a nice set at £30 for personal build. Would probably skip the others. The fact they are all 20 deep probably gives you the indication you need . . . . Any doubt, look at eBay sold listings to gauge recently sold listings and see if there is any meat on the bone.
  8. I hear DJ and my mind goes to this....

Sorry to be snippy, but you are on the wrong site if you want someone to agree with you. Everyone here is a professional or semi-professional seller. Seller is always responsible until the item is safely in the buyer's hands. That's what insurance is for if you are uncomfortable sending something valuable.
  11. Got Kylo's tie. I am really liking this set since it reminds me of original space police and blacktron.
  12. Great baiting of the UKHD crew Tabby! Going to watch that HDUK post with glee as they take the bait and react! "you meanie, my little boy / girl / other would have moved this set. Why did you have to buy them all... "
  13. Sorry to butt in but those boxes are great for flipping all year round, provided the buy-in is low enough. Some of them also do well post EOL and this is the biggest box right now and is an exclusive. Plus they are good for boys, girls and adults. The perfect gift.
  14. Quicker out the blocks than Doctor Who. £65 to buy on Amazon and selling for £55 on Ebay. Seems to be creeping up a little every day.
  15. Yes - but it does help to make you think about what LEGO might be able to do (if a $500 set is in play).
  16. Hi there, Also a noobie too. From what I've learnt so far...don't buy sets that may be reproduced over and over again. Super Heroes sets have had numerous versions of the same sets and minifigs so they don't normally do so well as investment items. Also if the supermarkets are struggling to get rid of them (even at discount) then you may struggle to make money on the set (after selling fees). Even Star wars sets are being made and remade which is making them unsuitable for investment. Buying retired sets is good but just make sure they're the right ones. Nobody can predict the future though. Good picks are usually sets with a short production span and that are quite unique. Good luck with it all, take your time and do your research, there's load of info in these forums.
  17. Looks great! Nicely done!

Do you mean to invest at the current secondary market prices in hopes that they will rise further or you have a lead on some below market price? I would invest elsewhere unless you can make money on them right now. There will probably be some new sets when Toy Story 4 comes out in summer 2019.
  19. Since this is BrickLink, yes, of course, you can take a defensive stand with your buyer and claim you did your job. Don't think there is much the buyer can do - perhaps file a claim with Paypal? However, the best thing to do, especially on a friendly marketplace like BrickLink, is to help out your buyer without immediately assuming you will eat the cost. Help him take the right action steps to get this resolved. Assist with providing proof of shipment (and weight). If possible, use the PM insurance to cover him where needed. A little goes a long way.
  20. Bag 3 in progress and I have to give my 5 year old props. He’s built most of this, just needs guidance occasionally.

There are pictures of 3 new brickheadz - bringing the overall count to unbelievable 37 sets! http://anjsbrickblog.blogspot.cz

  23. I thought a parrot was the symbol of imminent death in Denmark.
  24. Try calling them, their customer service is outstanding and They will probably offer VIP points to the equivalent amount. Alternatively, purchase again and return the originals. Sent from my SM-G950F using Brickpicker Forum mobile app
  25. dang it, i had my money on slim shady
  26. Here is a nice overview of different wallets, which coins they support, what platforms they're on, how safe and easy to use they are... https://www.cryptocompare.com/wallets/#/overview Coinbase and Blockchain.info are quite similar, though Blockchain.info gets a higher user rating. But it's certainly a good idea to read user reviews / experiences with different offerings. There are some differences though:
  27. Kinda liked 'em better when they rented crappy roof-leaking space in the rundown warehouse next to that shady "adult toys & movie" place. They'd have stacks and stacks of discount & clearance Lego all over the place... now that they own their own building & have a web presence there appears to be no need to discount anything much. who knew play structures were such a huge business!
  28. Information from Reddit/4Chan With a growing toddler and another little boy on the way I am super excited for the Juniors sets. I'll wait for discounts on these as they will still be too young for them, but the Duplo sets (once revealed) will be day one purchases.
  29. How much will you save shipping the items together to the GSP depot? Personally I'd want to send seperately to completely cover my ass.
  30. Saw those at one of my Walmarts today.
  31. Usually when they say it is (or go long enough without telling you it isn't that you can assume it is). DadsAFOL covered the answer to your question (correctly IMO), but my suggestion would be to blur those images somewhat, they're such high res that zooming in you can see all the pertinent addresses.
  32. Mine is actually in warehouse which is a surprise. After cashback and VIP points I think it's worth it.
  33. Well don't rush that decision, you have 90 days after all...
  34. Managed to snag a Kwik e Mart but not optimistic it will ship. My last two orders (Aroc & Heavy Haul Train) both cancelled.
  35. 37. Maybe it's just me, but the sea themed Modulars are pretty neat and would make for a great series of sets IMO. They would be great in my shore house...if I had one.
  38. I like the Christmas story house, hopefully comes with crate “FRAGILE”.
  39. Bitcoin, the world where any compound noun inserted into a sentence makes perfect sense. My pollypocket got a jacknife in a cryptocrunchie.
  40. All but that water plane has shown up at LEGOLAND California. Looking at the title of this thread and my backlog of pics reminds me I’m overdue in writing a new article and setting up a 2018 thread. Oh well. This still works
  41. They go pretty well with a Dune MOC too.
  42. Opened "Clayface Splat Attack" to remove the Batman minifig that's going to be sold on ebay (one TLBM Batman is enough for my collection). Spontaneously decided to build the set. It's a nice build, and I like the parts selection. Stitch acts as a stand-in for Batman to save mayor McCaskill.
  43. The Brick Show made a video describing the sets in more detail: 'Nother Jeep Set, Pteranodon and two figures, one of whom is Chris Pratt. We get another cage set, two figures, one of whom is Wu, and apparently including a Stygimoloch (Brickshow identifies it as Pachycephalosaurus, which is technically correct, but the ones in this film are being called Stygimoloch) There's a decent sized helicopter set, includes a Raptor and Chris Pratt with a crossbow, as well as two other blokes. Second largest set is a truck, a gyrosphere and a launching station for the gyrosphere. Apparently includes Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, as well as another guy. According to the Brickshow the dinosaur in it is a Carnotaurus, though they do not identify it as such. The Largest set is a mansion facade, six minifigs apparently, one raptor and one big mutant raptor.
  44. After spending most of the year bricklinking the Barad Dur, it's finally done with a few modifications, it stands 45 inches tall. Thanks to Kevin at BrickStruct for creating the instructions. The model still needs a couple of mods that I will do when I have room to display it.

In case you didn’t know, you can part out -2 and it will reduce all of the counts appropriately.
  46. Was just going to post the same thing. The only thing I've heard about Stripe is that they don't believe in what you are doing as a reseller and will hold your money until you can get them receipts which is pretty hard to do selling parts. I would avoid unless you like headaches. He has now added a part he previously cancelled. You cannot make this up. Still has not paid. I'm on invoice #4 to this guy.
  47. Now that I have seen the film, this set's design makes more sense....although that scene didn't end well. Heh. I actually like this set; it is one of the better 'copters in LEGO form.
