  1. After spending most of the year bricklinking the Barad Dur, it's finally done with a few modifications, it stands 45 inches tall. Thanks to Kevin at BrickStruct for creating the instructions. The model still needs a couple of mods that I will do when I have room to display it.
  2. Stopover on the way to Orlando at a Target in Southern Tennessee landed me 1x70601 Ninjago Sky Shark. Wasn't giving a price on any of the scanners (wall-mount, employee, register). Guys at electronics said it was scrapped merchandise and I wouldn't be able to buy it, but the lady at CS found an online price and managed to print an "Online Item" 30% off sticker to make my purchase price $11 (website price was $16.49, RRP $19.99). Set is down to last 5 sellers on Amazon, with only 1 FBA for $60 so score!

Made some more candy dispenser mocs. People in my office were seeing these at my desk and they started giving me their dispensers.
  4. Amazon gave them free Lego then helped them sell it at extortionate prices then lost the items and blamed the sellers,

  13. I’ve learnt from last year this is a great time to be regularly visiting your usual Lego stores since this is when end of year inventory is done in preparation for new stock and you can get an odd gem that appears which someone forgot to put out on the floor in the Xmas rush. Also helps to be nice and ask staff to check out in the back. Hence why I ended up with 4 x 41179’s as opposed to just the one that was on the shelf. Although I do regret not loading up on these about 6 weeks ago at TRU when they were doing their 20% off, given that they are now doing about 2 x RRP already. But can’t complain with my four, although my daughter has already eyed it up along with the Water Dragons that I also manage to snag. Will need to ensure that these are stored away properly!
  14. Nope...I picked up my 75192 sept 26th and also got the e-mail about November..then called customer service and was told "your card is being printed in Germany and should arrive before dec 25th"...and...Nnnope! i was also told that if it didn't arrive by the new year to call lego again and just got off the phone...and was told to continue to wait but that they'd print another card anyways....that second card is expected by the end of February Meanwhile....at the first sign of a Card in my mailbox I was instructed to call lego back to confirm...so I'm guessing however this plays out I'm getting two printed numbered cards with my Vip number on it as well...so who knows?...maybe they'll deactivate one card...or maybe it doesn't matter.
  15. 500 USD is enough money to do justice to anything.
  16. @Simon74 has a team of snipers waiting - do you think he´s just going to let foreign reseller scum come onto his patch?

  18. Northern Italy is like a bermuda triangle for retired lego. It all goes there and only you bring it out!
  19. They are pretty cheap on EBay. I think I got mine for $60 and I added a $15 set to use the $15 off $75 coupon a few weeks back.

Based on comparisons between TLG and TFA just going to leave this here.
  25. No lol. I've been finding little obscure shops with stock that's gone from all big stores.

  27. NOT in stock at Target. But there is an actual page now. https://www.target.com/p/lego-174-star-wars-153-millennium-falcon-153-75192/-/A-52676401#lnk=sametab Walmart's US Link; (apparently was in stock at Walmart CA) https://www.walmart.com/ip/Millennium-Falcon/138857969?u1=&oid=223073.7200
  28. I like some of them but certainly wouldn't collect them all. My biggest frustration is that most of the ones I actually would like are SDCC exclusives. At least funko pop have standard releases of characters and just have special versions for SDCC.

    In a heartbeat.
  31. Credit goes to rakrondewl, after his project didn’t get the votes on Lego Ideas; he kindly shared the LDD with the public. Only issue is that the LDD file uses quite a few out-of-production parts and non existent parts. However it’s been fun trying to find alternative parts or building techniques to get it built. The eye design came from another moc I’ve seen.
  32. I looked into this a couple years back ( I was toy manager at a local comic book store). Lego has super strict rules on resellers. Basically, you have to have had an existing business for something like five years, Lego cannot exceed approximately 10% of your total sales, and you have to order from all Lego themes, you cannot pick and choose. These were the main requirements, but there was literally a couple pages of stipulations and rules to follow.
  33. Might be a good time for a hostile takeover of Toysrus.
  34. No. It was a VIP exclusive, but originally for only 4-6 weeks. But due to demand and OOS, LEGO extended VIP exclusivity through 12/31. Now it's open season baby!
  35. 60162 – City Jungle Air Drop Helicopter - UPC 673419264990 - 1250 pcs., 7 minifigs, plus tiger. Contains 12 sealed bags of parts (numbered bags 1 thru 11 and one unnumbered) + 1 tape sealed bag with five manuals and one sticker sheet. Weight of 12 bags only (no box, no manual) = 1508 gr = 3 lb. 5.2 oz.
  36. Got a used 7662 Trade Federation MTT, a 7675 AT-TE, and about 40 lbs of semi completed sets and bulk to sort through for $100 today. Was a pretty good score, and I'm seeing some promising parts in the bulk so I'm excited to see what else I've got in there.
  37. Walked into a local toy store and found this (damaged) pretty beat up (and repaired with tape) box in the clearance section: Couldn't leave it behind.
  38. well me and the girlfriend love it - we are working on building a whole theme park. Yes would love a big proper creator one but this will add colour and looks good as a 'kiddy coaster' plus get two and we'll get to add a pair of rides to the park for (hopefully) price of one creator ride ?
