After spending most of the year bricklinking the Barad Dur, it's finally done with a few modifications, it stands 45 inches tall. Thanks to Kevin at BrickStruct for creating the instructions. The model still needs a couple of mods that I will do when I have room to display it.

There was a deal a couple weeks ago at Shop.Lego.com where you got 100 points ($5) for every Star Wars Lego purchase. If you spent $75, you also got a free London Bus promo. Keep your eyes on the Daily Deals and you should catch these deals when they are available.

Got a used 7662 Trade Federation MTT, a 7675 AT-TE, and about 40 lbs of semi completed sets and bulk to sort through for $100 today. Was a pretty good score, and I'm seeing some promising parts in the bulk so I'm excited to see what else I've got in there.

Wow, just wow. I was in the dark ages for the last Falcon and my wife was awesome to me for christmas. This thing is HUGE!!! I knew it would be big, even measured out display options before building but to actually see it and hold it is just amazing.

This has broader international appeal than Doctor Who though, which could be telling. I bet those 99 at Tesco will soon start moving if word reaches HUKD that it’s now retired.

This is true. Should I tell my "I returned 10 black pearls story" again? Bought 10 on target.com at $90 or something. Found many more at Walmart for $60. Returned those 10 from target. Next visit there were 10 black pearls on an end cap for $99 titled "manager's special."

Interesting thread... I began recollecting Legos about 2 years ago after getting my childhood legos back from my folks and a Lego Christmas present from my now wife, and that's all it took. I focused primarily on City stuff at the time, particularly wanting to build an airport. I always been a fan of Star Wars but didn't get into the Lego scene until Summer 2017 clearance round 2 where I got a U-Wing for $35 or so. Then the Tie Striker for $35, then an X-wing and now I think I have about 8 or 9 large craft (Kylo's shuttle and 75105 Falcon the largest), 4 or 5 small craft (Luke's Landspeeder, Rey's Speeder, A-wing), and a 2 or 3 small scenes. My desk is full I have no room for more, so I find myself asking how to consolidate, what to keep or eliminate. At first I was pretty OCD about keeping the figures and vehicles that came in each box together, now I'm thinking of having figureless iconic vehicles in one area and groups/scenes of minifigures in another. I don't have a HUGE collection but about 85+ minifigures. Kind of want to build my own customer Star Wars themed minifigure stand or diorama. I don't like those displays that each figure has a fixed amount of volume to occupy like prison, I like to think they can be displayed with a little of my creativity as well. As for the future of my Star Wars collecting... can't afford UCS stuff, I will still buy iconic vehicles from previous movies, and will buy smaller sets for the figures and if I think there are interesting extra pieces. If the figure can be had on the aftermarket for a fraction of the set cost I may consider that on a case-by-case basis. Depending on where Disney takes Star Wars I may not be buying too much from new movies and focus on newly designed sets for earlier episodes. May the force be with you. So let me wade into this discussion. In my own opinion this movie left me in shock at the theatre, & not in a positive way. Not only did it burn down every major story arc that TFA set up. It mocked Luke & devalued the First Order, portraying Hux as a bumbling idiot. Snoke no pay off or backstory keep us invested in him being a credible villain. No Knights of Ren & gaping plots holes, irrelevant subplots casino mission. General Leia super women spot & the total misrepresentation of Luke Sky Walker character! My concern is Disney diving this guy a whole new trilogy to mess up more Star Wars lore & create new ridiculous canon. Here is a link to review that totally sums up how if feel about this movie.

Saturn V, Old Fishing Store, Ninjago City, Destinys Bounty Hard to pick a winner here, but out of the four sets I listed, 3 of them I really really want to have, and 1 one them I have to have. Saturn V wins it for the Ideas theme, OFS makes the win even more deserved.

6AM this morning, the eBay app on my phone goes "cha-ching"... sold one set of minifigs from Ragana's Castle for $20. Been listed for weeks, and shown very little interest. Question: what kind of person is up at 6 AM on Christmas day, shopping for this on eBay?

Built the docking bay 327 which will be the new home of my recently purchased 10179.

My Lego Room: I come here after I fight with my wife to relax/recover. Still working on arranging sets due to spacing issues.

My daughter got 41122 Adventure Camp Tree house for her 8th birthday and enjoyed building it, which a little help from me. Especially cheese-slopes and other small details she finds still tricky. And after building it she also enjoys playing with it.

I like this set a lot. Reminds me of The Fifth Element.
