Walked into a local toy store and found this (damaged) pretty beat up (and repaired with tape) box in the clearance section: Couldn't leave it behind.

My ‘Original UCS Falcon, escaping from Docking Bay 327’ enshrined in a coffee table now complete.

Went to Target last night and found an Assembly Square on the clearance shelf. The box which is really in good condition, has a sticker marked as a repackage and priced $196.01. It's kind of unusual, but not unheard of. What was more amazing was the other 3 Assembly Squares, 5 Assault on Hoth (75098), 7 Big Ben (10253), a few Snowspeeders (75144), a Technic Porsche 911 (42056), a Kwik-E-Mart, a couple of other large technic sets, and about 20 Silent Mary's (71042) on the shelves in the store. I was stunned, and amazed. And yes, I did take the "repackaged" Assembly Square.

Yeah here’s what’s wrong with that. Obi-wan and Yoda went into hiding with a purpose and mission for fixing things. Luke became a whiny little beyatch with no plans for anything but expiring like old cheese. Lame

So here's the thing that bothered me about Luke (in addition to the poor writing in general, poor characters and lame humor): Luke Skywalker, the guy who sensed the good in the second most evil man in the galaxy, who was a mass murderer and hunter of Jedi, and wanted to turn him back to the light side of the force, and might I add, succeded, gave up on his nephew, the son of his best friend and his sister, after he sensed a little darkness in him, and wanted to kill him instead of trying to guide him to the light side. We waited 35 years for this. It's not a problem that we turn our focus on the new characters and such, but it was done in a bizarre and insulting way.

The dumbest expectation is the Death Star retiring so this can replace it.

Based on comparisons between TLG and TFA just going to leave this here.

Just built this now, it's pretty cool and I'm going to put it with my other ucs sets even though it doesn't have the label simply because it's cool and other ucs sets haven't had the label before this one so...

pretty good deal on (supposedly) retiring minecraft set though seller count is bloated for now. not sure who amazon is price matching.

None are bad if you like building and collecting. I personally only buy clearance at 75% or above because I mostly deal in quick flips/ retail arbitrage. Buying in at 40% or 50% as a reseller means accepting lower resale margin or waiting a bit longer. But really, it’s all subject to where you can sell and also your costs beyond buy in (e.g. gas and your time). I think you’ve started off well!

Who wants to play laugh at the newbie? This is my entire LEGO haul from post-Xmas clearance, mostly at target but the lodge was from Amazon and the Kylo Ren was from TRU. Thoughts? Great buys? I don't see a Falcon to be a direct competitor to a Death Star like Cloud City would be. Price wise, yes. But they(MF/DS) are totally different in what they are and how they display. A Cloud City would definitely cannibalize sales away from Death Star in a way that I don't think MF would impact as much. All I know for sure is that if they make Cloud City you better get in line because it will sell out immediately.

Unless some of these "you tube JERKS" is able to provide some trustworthy box art picture - I say they are just fishing for publicity + ads income from you tube. you all see how many of these FREAKS are able to put up some "video" on you tube consisting of just just freak show of already leaked LEGO sets - just "improved" by theatrical zoom-ins.. zooms-out..

Yes, nobody is perfect and crap pops up all the time. I betcha Amazon still has some MISB 10179s laying around somewhere.

There could be some playing around with stock to drum up business, but some of it is just poor inventory management and second rate technology. LEGO is no Amazon.

This thread has helped me come up with my 2018 business resolution. Find out which one of my liquidators has the bwi2 facility and buy those loads.

Accepting loses is part of the business. Having the company you are working with essentially steal your inventory and not follow through on there own business policies is a whole other issue. I hate that I am saying this, but similar with the government, Amazon holds an extremely large amount of power regarding our inventory and they need to be held accountable. When people start rolling over and accepting 2K of inventory vanishing we are essentially working for the mafia...

Found a lonely Friends Roller Coaster at Costco for $40, may want to check your local stores, I'm not sure if this has been mentioned in the daily deals or clearance threads
