  1. Really like the end product , pretty sturdy , well designed and a lot of playability . The trigger to release the “bombs” is in the perfect place and well hidden . Figures are cool too
  2. Yes. Just a reminder that this thread is for reporting retired sets. If a set is doing the dance, out of stock, call to check, etc, please report that it in the speculation thread.
  3. Rakuten ;20% off cide : yearend20
  4. Finished this off while the kids were napping. It’s -40 with the windchill today so cant do much else...
  5. My daughter loves the winter village sets but is too young, so we built our own with a few new sets from Santa!
  6. It´s like selling on Ebay, people don´t look at the description.
  7. I visited today two stores to get Architecture Studio, by miracle I found the last one in stratford. the current status in brand stores might give you better indication about current state of EOL status and potential resurection (if) Palace Cinemas gone everywhere Winter Toy Shops gone everywhere Caterham hoarded everywhere 10+ boxes Elves series almost gone everywhere Batman Classic surprisingly was almost done. Assault on Hoth isn't going anywhere even discounted Simpsons with 1cm of dust surface on top of it Louvre gone everywhere Burj Khalifa gone everywhere Tie UCS still available Winter Train still available Winter station still available Yellow Submarine overhoarded Nexo - it depends on set and location Xerion Gone everywhere AROCS still available Minecraft the Village still available hassle free Friends Escort Girls mainly gone Escort Superheroes girls still available.
  8. My winner is 41171 - Emily Jones & the Baby Wind Dragon. My average buy was under $3 from KMart with points and coupons, clearing them out over $40. Had over 100, down to 27 My loser was 75096 - Sith Infiltrator. Was expecting more because it was a TRU exclusive, and the Watto figure. Got my money back plus a little holding fee, but the ship just has no holding power. I don't predict much for 75099 - Rey's Speeder. have a bunch from Walmart at 70% off. We shall see what comes of it though.
  9. My amazing grandma bought me the new ucs millennium falcon (75192) from the store in Liverpool yesterday
  10. Lego must have produced a bucket load of trains, thinking that Autumn hype would shift them all by now. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-4907012/John-Lewis-unveils-10-Christmas-toys.html Should have been a £120 set with the power functions included. People don't like paying twice.
  11. Why are there so many things listed at 30% off that are already OOS / retired, and not included in the sale?
  12. Interesting sub-plots over the next 24 hours: How many Brickheadz Lego actually have; Whether Elves 2017 is a poor investment; Whether Lego can succeed where TRU failed (TRU had a summer 50% sale to clear Wonder Woman, but still have Tanker Takedown); Whether there is demand for £120+ Minecraft; Very poor sales of Nexo will justify the summer axe; Releasing a train without power functions was a mistake; For me, the surprises are: Moana reduced; Pre-Ninjago Movie still available; Only one Architecture line; Very little Star Wars; Ecto-1 returning again, albeit briefly; Lego choosing not to farm out the slow sellers;
  13. 2x Winter trains for me. Had a £20 voucher as well so £42.49 buy in.
  14. Contest it, Amazon will remove. Same for late shipments using prime
  15. I was really considering it but when I saw the video I Bricklinked the parts right away. Got them in 3 orders. Cost around 70 Canadian.
  16. Definite space saver. Will definitely use. Thanks for posting!
  17. Building assault on hoth with my 6 year old, his gift. I'm going 20 deep on it, now having built.
  18. Guest
Quite happy with that haul. Loaded up with more Yellow Subs, finally got the Caterham for a price I’m happy with, and completed another two full sets of the first wave Brickheadz.
  19. 2 points
If Disney wants to watch the Star Wars brand go up in smoke, then having a bad Solo film follow a divisive Last Jedi will set the ball rolling. I disliked the Last Jedi and have pretty much written off episode 9 and anything Rian Johnson touches, so where is it heading? It’s not looking good. Rogue One might be the only real bright spot.

So anyways, since I’ve sent you payment, when are you shipping’em? I took a day off from work on the 3rd of January so I wouldn’t miss the delivery. [emoji12]
  21. Seems like a good time to evaluate everyone´s best and worst investment decisions of the year. Please comment with your best and worst decision or purchase (max 2 per person). My best move was to go in hard on Dragon Sanctuaries. Even at RRP, they have brought excellent ROI and opened my eyes to a previously unknown theme. Runner up was 41122 Adventure Treehouse - great little earner at Xmas time when bought cheap. Girlie themes all the way in 2017. My worst move is a tie between over investing in IST 75094s at too high a buy-in and missing out on the TRU flash sale with 70323 Jestro´s Lair at 27 euros. That set is going for 100 right now and looks set to be a winner in the medium term once the theme is done.
  22. All the other UK only reduced sets are marked down now too. TIme for the Falcon to sell out.
  23. It´s acually in scale with the overpricing on the real car.
  24. Alright, couldn't refuse your request and ordered a couple.
  25. It´s best and worse investment decisions of the year. I guess selling too soon or too late would count for that. Or deciding to sell.
  26. Winner decisions: my decision at the beginning of the year to no longer put real money into my LEGO purchases (or only very little). Stuck to it by-and-large until October when the FBA earnings started rolling in. Especially KMart/SYW .... $4k in MSRP bought, $500 in cash spent. Total of 181 sets. Also winner: My early on decision to go mainly small and medium sized sets (sub $50). Final winner: Not listening to what others say here . Bad decisions: Kylo Ren Shuttle polybags. Even though I got them for free, they just don't move.
  27. So, is this thread for 2017 buys or 2017 sales?
  28. Winners - I went in pretty big on Disney Ariel undersea palace and friends livi pop star --- huge winners especially with the buy in. Losers - Pet Shop...expected a lot more but I'll hang onto for maybe next year.
  29. Winners: Jokerland at 65 Losers: Kylo Ren 75104 at 65 when will this set die
  30. Investment scores: Clone Turbo Tanks for 45.00 off at Walmart last spring. Also found 3 for 40.00. Investment wins: Jurassic World.. I overbought before these went completely EOL... but, this year made up for it as they consistently moved. I have hardly any left. Death Star Final Duel. Investment Losers: Birds, Sith Infiltrator (should have known better), Imperial Shuttle Transport has had slower than expected growth.
  31. Too bad 853443 - VIP Cardboard Name Plate doesn't count anymore, since it's been on 50% discount already for ages and apparently nobody is even remotely interested in it!
  32. My position 1 month ago was that it was a turd and that I´d be lucky to break even. Then Xmas hurricane came and parents needed one for little Timetta.Next year she will want Grand Hotel or Riding Stables.
  33. Parents of kids. I've shifted more Ninjago than Star Wars in the Xmas run up, and for stronger prices. Sorry, getting off topic,
  34. Best: 3 for 2 on 2017 Lego MInecraft (Ice Spikes, Witch Hut and Jungle Temple). Bought loads last month. Looking very promising. Worst: 3 for 2 on Ninjago LIghthouse Seige. Buy in price was £30 and sold for £40 in May. Now approaching £100. Missed a bucket load of other Ninjago stuff at very good discount. I knew the movie was coming and never gave them consideration. Very short-sighted.
  35. Many of their fans will be dead by then
  36. The man said he was having breakfast. Never skip breakfast or your decision making will be impaired and you´ll end up ordering 20 of every Brickhead and Aira´s Airship.
  37. Seems the Dutch prefer their Honey Nut Loops to logic.
  38. Why did you wait? You can have breakfast every day of the rest of your life.
  39. England is Europe... ? But anyway, the offers are the same beside three additional sets in UK - Submarine, Heartlake Hotel and another one that I could not find out.
  40. Went for Yellow Subs, Berlin & a couple of Caterham's in the end. Not too bad with 10% cashback and VIP points on top.
  41. Not sure if this is mentioned ... saw it on reddit... a great stand... free instructions. https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-10219/Lucioswitch81/effermans-vertical-stand-for-millennium-falcon-75192/#bi
  42. Yes but they are not exclusives. The real exclusive ones (so far) are still full price. You can use the next 6 minutes wisely by checking out the offers in other countries before making your order....
  43. Seems like it disappeared right after my order.
  44. Sold through all my Ariel dolphin carriages at $33+ FBA. Buy box was around $22-$24 when sent them in. Was hoping for the last minute FBA 2 day magic Around 30 total, my largest number I've sent in of one SKU
