Your smugness is assumed by everyone to be at a constant high level. No need to remind us.3 points

Conspiracy theorists may want to take a look at the sets featured on the back of the box....3 points

Not 100 percent sure if this has been mentioned but the ship that everyone can't get enough off is now SOLD OUT on the uk lego site. First time I've seen this happens to it (retire please lol) maybe getting ahead of myself haha2 points

That boxer is one weird looking dude. Pretty sure he's getting in shape to go do some low budget porn. The set is a cool change to the series, though. I do like it.2 points

If I was a betting man, I'd say they are keeping this re-release for 2019 to coincide with SW Movie 9 (and I would not be surprised to see Starkiller Base II in SW 9 either )2 points

Hmmmm. I guess I didn’t read the email correctly. I thought Lego said my black VIP CARD was in the mail about a month ago. Apparently it must have said, “Congratulations on your $800+ purchase of a really cool box of molded plastic blocks and choking hazards!! As a reward we will be sending you and 10,000 other people a one of a kind, but completely non personalized and easily reproducible laminated piece of thin cardboard/ thick paper!!! We would like you to know how much we appreciate your love of Lego! This “special” VIP card, which can also easily be worn on a lanyard (not included) by poking a hole through the top, will make you and many others eligible for, yet to be determined, AMAZINGLY HO-HUM discounts and 15 minutes of early access to our “crashed servers” on occasional future sales!! This card, which you should have already received, is coming!!! We, at Lego, are thinking, very hard might I add, about potentially sending it possibly in the near to distant future; almost 50/50 to 73% chance one way or the other, maybe, but most definitely eventually. Thank you again for YOU, but mostly your money!!! Sincerely yours, Lego” For those still waiting just to buy the set, I apologize for my sarcasm.2 points

eBay has plenty of traffic and you can do substantial volume, the issue is in the self fulfillment aspect. It's just such a pain in the...neck and hands and elbows and shoulders and feet and back and..2 points

Sellers are weak. Everyone could raise these to $75 and they'd still sell quickly. Those folks on Amazon don't shop at LEGO.2 points

Finally built a Saturn V rocket. That thing is massive but pretty well designed. I though the instructions could have been better in some places, I made several mistakes and had to go back and rebuild, which almost never happens. Maybe I'm just getting old and losing it!1 point

How is this 30% off, that's a joke. Feel sorry for those who fall for the 30% off when price is jacked up. Heck, they should change retail to $300 and slap 50% on it.1 point
-
Edit: 15% was applied eventually. Had to go back and explain everything but it worked in the end. Some highlights: -Batman Movie sets (not the biggest though) -ATST -Rogue One sets -City VIP -Some Super Heroes, only one I bought was GOG Bad parts -no big sets, no new Star Wars on sale -some sets just didn't make sense... they had City Airport (which was on sale last year) but no sale -some sets had only 1 or 2 copies Good luck to everyone!1 point

Those are reasonable arguments but there is one factor that will decide retirement that you didn´t mention - sales. There are still enough people buying modulars (you yourself said you have made your number) that a repeat of TH is now unlikely. If it were a poor seller, they´d try other strategies like discounts or 3x VIP promos before killing it off.1 point

This could be a guess as good as anyone's... Taking the top 10 of Most Expensive LEGO sets of all time from this site: https://www.dailydot.com/parsec/most-expensive-lego-sets/ (which took their input from Brickpicker ): Eiffel Tower Death Star II Market Street UCS ISD Mr. Gold --> Kind of followed up with the upcoming Platinum R2-D2 raffle! Statue of Liberty Cafe Corner Grand Carousel --> Remade in smaller version as 10257 Carousel Taj Mahal --> Re-released UCS MF --> Remade and enhanced And we see a pattern emerge. Take the most expensive and highly coveted LEGO sets and bring out a remake or rerelease as a 'fan service'. I do not see a remake of the Statue of Liberty or the Death Star II coming out any time soon. But never say never ... A hommage to Cafe Corner could be a possibility, but it won't be identical to the original Cafe Corner. In my opinion an enhanced remake of the UCS ISD is the most likely set to come out, maybe as soon as 2018.1 point

accept the return and hope he never return. If he did return, then you take the hit. most likely scammer never reply and you keep the money.1 point

Easy option by Lego - steps: 1. Remake a Barracuda set 2 Remove a ship 3 Add a helicopter :-)1 point

All this means is it won't be GBH. It will still sell FBA for $50 next Christmas, and $60+ the year or two after that. You just paid $10 for it. If you guys have better sets that will be 5x buy-in next Christmas, slide on into my DMs.1 point

As soon as you hit 100 sales and 1k within the 12 months you're gold. At least that's how I remember it. Thank you dimension packs! TRS is great, but ebay just really lacks in bringing in enough traffic to sell in volume.1 point
-
Do not under any circumstances send to another address or alter the confirmed address in any way. You will lose all seller protection on the item. They only options are cancel the sale and have them rebuy or it goes to whatever confirmed address eBay tells you to send it to.1 point

It should be fine. I've noticed Myer are getting better at this and actually usually have stock to send.1 point

How I feel every time someone mentions "so many people being happy" to get another chance at a previously rare LEGO item.1 point

Sure, but same old same old with the MCU sets. Buy at 50/60% RRP sell at 100/125% and move on to the next.1 point

And I respect that but unless you flipped during OOS periods, you have money tied up in a set that won´t do anything for at least 12 months. I´d rather be using that to get other stuff to flip quickly and reinvest in S5 next year and at discount. YMMV1 point
