Been up for a while, but the kids had finally left it in a state that worked for pictures (after a few adjustments). Still don’t know where the train and station will fit. Currently built with no home.4 points

25% off RRP at a local Mom and Pop. They have a rewards program now, so I generated a few $10 off gift cards to stack on these. Effectively the gc at least took care of quite a bit of the sales tax. I finally unloaded the truck.4 points

Here's a 3x RRP set: Sold my 31043 Chopper Transporter - $29 FBA (buy-in was $4.50 after tax at KMart clearance earlier this month).2 points

I am seeing this set EVERYWHERE now. Even some notoriously scalping shops are selling it for RRP. It´s going to be a long year for anyone who went in big on these. Maybe even longer.2 points

TRU is bankrupt because years ago they borrowed $7 billion to go private at a cost of $500 million in interest per year and they never paid it down at all and blew that money on nothing business related rather than on improving the business.2 points

Good riddance. Judging by the difficulty they could get rid of this and the performance of the Tumbler I do not have much hope for this set. Personally I think it is a fun albeit imperfect set, but I am not the market. I have one for my collection and that's it.2 points

It was on sale, dude. They lower the limit to avoid them going into the hands of reseller scum and they have a set number of units at sale price. No idea. Wait a few days and they´ll all be back to normal.1 point

Once again - yes, it is a fantastic set, but this does not mean anything about how good it will do after retirement (look at Orthanc Tower as one good example). The production figures are already much more than for MR, and not every person is interested in space travel. So for me, it looks that the market is already saturated with Saturn V...1 point

2 months after delivery : u don’t have to accept they can still file a claim that u should be able win fairly easily ( Amazon might still fund them from their own pocket ) since it is open, I would politely refuse the request and point out amazon’s return policy .1 point

Yup, I’ve taken advantage of your input on the past for sets, so thanks for it. But people who take ‘advantage’ of ToysRUs like you are a minority. Most buyers are the average parent or grand-parent who buys their kids toys, no?1 point

So this is the model he announced in June he was working on and described as a one of the biggest sets of end of the year.1 point

yup they take back: a. $5 or 5% of sale and b. pick & pack fee so all in all that's what will be lost.1 point

Hard to judge with Friends but the long lifespan won´t help it much at the beginning, same as Olivia´s House. You do get a lot of pieces for your money and it is still the biggest ever Friends set till they do a UCS Foal feeding treehouse.1 point

Wow, finally a true designer video, not the infantile kindergarten commercial. It just took like 10 years, but who cares. I hope this format stays.1 point

These are just the rumors floating around. Subject to change of course. Here's what that Bat-Space Shuttle looked like in the film:1 point
