  1. After driving 600 miles back and forth, and getting to the lego store at 6.05 in the Morning to get the 7th ticket out of 8, I present you the FIRST 75192 Star Wars UCS Millenium Falcon, that makes it back to the land were it was made... Monterrey, México ?? !!!
  2. Bag one complete. This is gonna take me a loooooong time to build. I'm lucky if I get through one numbered bag a night.
  3. Someone posted a pic of 4 Falcons stacked in a corner on LEGO's Facebook page claiming that he'd be selling them when they're retired for 8 times the purchase price. Should someone tell him?
  4. There are a couple Sandcrawlers @ AWD $237 for Very Good and $251 for Like New https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00JZMYOOC/ref=sr_1_7_olp?s=merchant&ie=UTF8&qid=1505484939&sr=1-7&condition=used
  5. The only part of that sentence I understand is sold for 300$ last week.
  6. disagree. there have been plenty of flash >50% off amazon sales all summer long i've gotten because of max profit posts. max profit is a slightly different version then the running header that used to be at the top of the daily deals thread. and at least max profit is always posting on topic in the daily deals thread.

Probably this first MOC I've created myself. This is the base for my first plate to my Winter Village. It's ice skating pond. The next plate will contact to the top, and will be a frozen stream with a bridge over it.
  8. LEGO can barely run one site and you want them to try a 2nd??
  9. 70751 Temple of Airjitzu now retired at US SAH. https://shop.lego.com/en-US/Temple-of-Airjitzu-70751 People seemed to miss that with all the UCS falcon shenanigans.
  10. Well, my call to Customer Service paid off (I was frustrated, but very nice to the guy, I figured his day was going pretty bad regardless). After receiving the cancellation email yesterday morning due to payment error, Brian in CS was very helpful and said the system was crazy all morning and he was sure it was an error on their part (it was - I used the same shipping address and credit card I have used for years). Went into "In Warehouse" status yesterday afternoon and just received a shipment email with tracking (fingers crossed). New plan: finish selling last three Gingerbread Houses on FBA to cover full cost of MiLF. Sold one already for $219.

Kmart $29 for all 3. Combining them together should be pretty cool.
  13. People make a big deal about Max Profit. It can be ignored. The reason it stays here is because 500+ users follow this thread. If I remove it from here, then I have to tell hundreds of people to go elsewhere when this is the deals thread. It's not going anywhere, so ignore it and then don't complain about it. Those that are complaining about it are making more of a mess of this thread than Max Profit is. The script runs every 3 hours. Removes all previous posts and just leaves the latest and greatest (1 single post). For each of those that complain, there are plenty of others that send a PM, email, Facebook message that say..."thanks" Max Profit will be improving and also be integrated into other features that may eventually replace this part here. So have patience. Maybe one day some of you will find use for him, but for now, do what works for you, ignore him and have a happy day. This is the end. If you want to PM me about it fine, but don't waste anymore time here in this thread.
  14. As a business owner for 25 years, you want to always appear busy. Who wants to go to a business that is never busy? People assume there is an issue, poor service or price problem. Perception is everything. You want to be the business that people say..."Hey, that place is always busy!" Apple stores are the best example of this. Eighty Apple employees make every store look busy....LOL
  15. I agree. This is the ultimate "showcase" set and will be an excellent marketing tool for LEGO. As for the demand for this set, nobody really knows except for The LEGO Group. It's hard to judge demand off of a few uber LEGO fan sites. LEGO's constant supply and website issues are either pathetic or planned. I don't think it really matters either way. This is a statement set and even if it loses money, it's a winner for LEGO.
  16. Pah. I have nowhere to put the box, much less anywhere to build it or display it. But I still bought the set. ?
  17. We heard similar arguments to the green box at-te . I was buying at $50 and folks thought that was too high .
  18. If it were the latter, they would have a functional website AND inventory control. They can generate the same buzz without turning people off because they refuse to come into the 21st century with regards to server infrastructure.
  19. It´s like a French bulldog. So ugly you have to love it.
  20. i wouldn't want to be those sellers when this thing comes back in-stock at MSRP. buyers get 60 or 90 days to file a INAD
  21. Never ever label a lot with older Winter Village sets and a 10197 as "Winter crap" .. grrrrr
  22. Nah.....I does not beat the rush of getting it.....half the fun is the hunt........ Also the wife enjoys shopping in San Antonio......

They sat on my plastic shelves for 8 months and sold them all at $29 a piece. And I'm still here =)
  24. Mine shipped this afternoon. Lego was quick. It's a big boy : 28.4 lbs and 23x20x17 my 10179 weighed about 25 pounds shipped.
  25. Just got an email that mine has shipped????
  26. Not really sure where this came from, I'm trying to find out but it's an official image of the Braces Girl coming in the set
  27. My haul from last night at LS!
  28. Definitely YMMV and more for a supplies thread. One local Walmart had Duck Brand Bubble Wrap on clearance yesterday: Duck Brand Original Extra Wide Bubble Wrap, 24" x 150', Clear UPC: 075353148273

I gave an open box 8289 Technic Firetruck to a friend who loves the Technic sets. . I wasn't sure if all the bags were there though. I guess they were as he just sent me a picture. Yes, he needs to work on the cable issue.

Finished for now. Time to run! 3 circuits.
  31. My daughter used her Irma-induced day off of school to finish up her 41130 Friends Amusement Park Roller Coaster. Her Friends mini-city is now complete with hotel, houses, sports park, all the amusement sets, and several other random things (like the news van and an entire jungle section...ha!). She really likes the amusement park, but of course wishes the roller coaster was motorized.
  32. I do not know many seniors here that have tons of expendable income. When I worked for the department of agriculture we actually had many seniors who ate pet food as they could not afford real food. I have read stats showing almost no one in the united has saved properly for retirement. I am not sure about the rest of the world. I know all my experience with seniors as they would much rather save their money or spend it on family members children's lego sets than their own sets. They really seem to think of others much more than themselves. My grandpa and his friends brag about how little they spend at bingo or dance night and laughed when I showed him this. He said if it cost more than his puzzles there was no way, but he is just one person. I think there could be some interest at nursing homes like puzzle tables or for therapy, but just have never met any senior citizen who I could see spending what this would cost for themselves. I really do like this though it is cool and I hope I'm wrong and it gets made and sells great!

Hey thats my favorite group of valued customer you are insulting there.
  34. 10179 inner frame is solid, designed to carry 20 pounds. many of us assume 75192 would follow it's lead in that area and i'm glad it's true. https://brickset.com/article/30631 Bags #1 Construction begins with the internal chassis upon which everything will be connected to. It's robustly built using studded Technic beams and plates so is very rigid as a result. Most of today's sets use colour coding of parts to make it easier to find them in the pile and also easier to see them in the instruction steps, and this set does just that: different sized beams are different colours, certain sized plates are tan, others are grey, and so on. The result is a bit of an eyesore but it'll all be covered up so it doesn't matter. I knew that designer Hans stated that he based this chassis design on that in the original UCS Falcon but I didn't realise until looking at the instructions now just how similar they are: The build time for this section was about 75 minutes. It's fairly straightforward, thanks to the colour coding, but you will want to ensure you have every Technic pin in exactly the right hole otherwise you're likely to run into problems later. Bags #9 Now we turn our attention to the top of the mandibles, which are built primarily from plates but with arches used to form the circular holes in the top. The details seen through them were added in bags #8.
  35. That sounds more like a NSFW site.
  36. All I see is a big box .... are you sure there's a Falcon in there? Would be a pain to have to drive back 600 miles
  37. i didn't order and i don't see it in my order history .. is this normal ? S.O.S!!!
  38. My luck ... working hard while on business in CET, come back to my hotel room to face this:

Finally got around to building a LEGO set since earlier this summer. I really like this BB-8 set. Much like the R2 set, I wasn't looking forward to the build but was happy afterwards. here are some comparison pics.
