  6. News from my local Legostore: They recieved their copy of the Millennium Falcon for display on Force Friday and are currently building it. They will also accept reservations for it after September 11th, once they know how many they're getting in stock.

  9. Outside of the glaring issues with the frame and magnets used, it will take a hell of a ship to outdo 10030. I love mine and it's prominently displayed.

  10. Works on most technic sets as well 42053(Volvo EW160E), 42054 (Claas Xerxion), 42070 (6x6 All Terrain Tow Truck), were ones I was able to get the discount applied to

  11. Found at WalMart in Michigan. On a new sidecap cardboard display. Rang up fine at $3.97. Of course I was denied the new BB8 sets at the register (locked out).

  12. I still think that the 10030 (in spite of its issues) is a beautiful/significant set.

  17. Employees can still get the sets. They often have raffles based on submitted survey results from the bottom of receipts, and they can choose some of the sets.

  20. Since we have the buying thread, I thought we could have a selling thread too. Let guys, and girls, let others know sets they have moved, maybe returns that they realized and the timeframe it took to get there. If this is lame, well, I guess it will fall to the depths of the forum, here goes. Sold a sealed 7199 IJ Temple of Doom for $200, purchased for $115 6 months ago I have others, but this is just to give you an idea.

  21. set 75177 : First Order Heavy Scout Walker pieces: 554 £54.99, $49.99 i wonder if this set is going to turn out like 2015's Kylo Ren's Shuttle. The LucasFilm art and images used by the Lego designers didn't show the wings extended. it looks like to me the heavy scout walker's spider-like legs should unfold for walking. thus the word, "walker" in the vehicle's name. here's a review.

  26. Getting rid of 3PSs would hurt this stat: http://www.businessinsider.com/amazon-vs-google-online-shopping-product-starting-point-2017-7 They like being the place that sells the biggest variety of stuff. 3PSs help them offer tons of stuff that other methods don't or take too much effort. I think as manufactures obligate to offer most of their catalog on Amazon we will be kicked off that product. Where it gets interesting is the former products that the manufactures no longer offer. Amazon wants these items to keep people away from Google or competitors sites.

  27. We personally have not had any reviews or suspensions on any of our amazon accounts but we know plenty who have. Amazon is very strict with their policies and they tighten up all of the time. Manufacturers are also getting alot more involved with making test puchases from Amazon and reporting unauthorised/counterfeit goods and are now also suing sellers directly who are not authorsed resellers. Sounding like a broken record but diversify across categories and across selling platforms. Big changes happen at Amazon all of the time and clearly the pattern is them moving toward cutting down/out 3P sellers. It may happen slowly, they may pull the plug ovenight, but it will happen eventually. They are moving toward a model of Amazon, actual manufacturers, and a handful of the bigger manufacturer authorized resellers being present on the platform. It would be smart to start transitioning out of the Amazon platform and begin building up on other platforms or creating/marketing your own website if you haven't already.

  28. Not yet, someday we might be lucky and one of the retailers will offer it at discount.

  29. The 10030 as of now only has its size going for it. Its looks and building techniques are very dated, even a mediocre design will easily outdo it. In any case, an ISD remake is a quite obvious choice, and it also has lots of space for a decent interior. It could make a very nice large set.

  30. When there is buyer paid shipping, the buyer usually includes the cost of shipping as a part of the cost of the item. They were willing to pay the price+shipping, so probably would have increased their price part of the equation if they had known shipping was cheaper. I say you are good to keep it.

  31. If the discrepancy isn't that much, you can chalk up the difference to "packing materials". The buyer won't know if you don't print the label with the pricing on it.

  34. Got my one and only from LEGO Shop at Home and I'm impressed with the packaging. Perfect for box and durable. And I guess they're shipping the freebies separately. Great no damaged boxes. Hope this shipping method sticks with them especially for larger sets. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]

  35. Yep. I need a 12.5" x 12.5" shadow box type frame. At Comic Con I got Michael Giacchino's autograph on a Rogue One two disc LP. A standard size LP frame is not deep enough.

  36. heard same, southeast would go to LL FL for master builder projects and to be repurposed when rehabbing the display etc. Employees used to get some but think as the boom happened they strayed away from that more. Remember hearing some rumbles of not getting them anymore.

  37. Not sure what the exact policy is at the moment, but at various times they have either been given to employees or broken down and sent back to Enfield to be used for various LEGO community events.

  42. As amazing as the Falcon Looks in the leak I am going to have to agree with you. I can definitely see there are a lot of changes made good to 10179, but the bottom part of the ship looks like it wasn't changed at all. The plates on the bottom in the back are an exact replica to the ones seen on 10179. Of course we are unable to see the bottom at this point, but it makes me think that someone took inspiration from other people and modded their 10179 just a little bit and swapped out some pieces as well. Also an Imperial Star Destroyer appears at the bottom left of the ad so I guess Lego will tease us with new upcoming UCS Sets always being in the bottom left corner of their boxes/advertisements? I am still fishy about this supposed leak, but the official model will either be this or something very closely to it.
