5 proper lego, 3 Juniors and 2 Duplo. Maybe a large exclusive too. Seems they are going to milk this one so maybe this Xmas is a good time to sell the previous sets.3 points

A leaked picture of the 10259 Winter Train Station is up on reddit, looks good, just hoping those clock faces are printed.3 points

Hello everyone I'm 45 yo and I've started playing lego again for 2 years now. I'm a minifigs fan too, so sometimes I like to create small or medium builds to display them. Here's a set I've just finished called "Weird Science" to display one of my favorites minifigs the Bee and the Man Plant (Plant Man?). You can see other pictures and other stuff here : https://www.flickr.com/photos/rsmbricks/ Hope you like it Happy to be playing Lego again and sharing it with lego fans2 points

First is 8099 Mid Scale Star Destroyer Middle is one of the many Droid Tri Fighter incarnations. Might be a few pieces in this picture that don't belong to it though. Last one looks to be a giant spider, probably from set 4994 Creator.2 points

Lego LEGO Shop at Home knocked the Classic Batcave down another $15 to $199. https://shop.lego.com/en-US/Batman-Classic-TV-Series-Batcave-760522 points

I have a wife, and she has expressly forbidden me from buying this set, until certain other non-essential things are purchased first (read: golf cart for cruising the neighborhood) .2 points

Sir von LEGO, one of the most reliable guys on here says we're getting sets next summer. https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/152123-lego-nexo-knights-2018/&do=findComment&comment=2843804 There also may or may not be an accompanying CMF Series...1 point

I have one, and only one request of this set: No. Numbered. Bags. I want to search endlessly for that one piece, only to find it in that place I thought I already looked. Oh, sure, I could be organized - but what fun is that?! 10179 didn't need no stinking numbers on its bags, and neither does 75192! Come on, Lego, let's separate the post-pubescent from the pre-pubescent!1 point

You should PM the Berlin seller on ebay who is constantly selling and restocking them at 170 euros. They might have an answer.1 point

The second pile represents Disney´s royalty points. Some say there might be more than just a Falcon in the set but we´ll know soon enough.1 point

The station could be bigger but I hear Lego is customizable so I'm ok with it. Always happy to have a new winter set.1 point

I know many Star Wars and LEGO fans. Few are as emotional about these big sets as you.1 point

Looking fwd to the set but I don't know if this is going to be an efficient flip. Online you would need to get $2100 to be able to compete with other toy's ROI in 4th quarter. Locally $1600 but I don't see getting that on much volume either. One fraudulent online buyer (and this would be a very high risk item) would really put a dent in profits. If they do a limited numbered edition we will buy alot otherwise I don't think I want to get stuck trying flip an $800 set locally just to make a few hundred profit. If they do limited numbers that would be great news for resellers.1 point

If anything those two lumps look more like BB8 than the Falcon. Weird how that picture looks like some are in darkness and some are in the light. Eclipse reference? Eclipse is the Moon blocking out the sun. That's no MOON. UCS Death Star. Book it1 point

I have to say it, despite all the amazing huge ships in the star wars movies that haven't been done, they reissue the big set that put them on the map for big sets, so they can enhance the collectibility of their brand. That last sentence was sarcasm. I will say unless there is a first edition, no way I'm spending 700 on a toy. On sale for 500-550, maybe. I couldn't care less about piece count, just too much money.1 point

You're right, that was too obvious and I missed it. You can start on the MST3K version.1 point

I don't know about your last point. I am also in the bucket of people who just missed out on the last wave of sets, and have two kids under ten, and Harry Potter is amazingly sticky with them. The movies are available off and on through Netflix, etc, books are still popular....Lego has to look at the aftermarket prices from the final wave and know there is interest. A 2500+ pc Hogwarts would be a day 1 purchase for me. Probably better for my wallet if they don't make anything.1 point

The AFOL in me loves this set. The investor in me knows the chance of a batcave appreciating nicely is small since one is released every 2-3 years with very little duration in- between the old being totally sold-out at retail and the new one arriving If any batcave should appreciate, it's this one. However, I view buying this for investing as high risk / low reward. I'm forcing myself to pass even at $200 each. The buy-in would need to be $125-$150 for me to buy 2+.1 point

Not if the upcoming Yoda's Hutt is an indicator On diff topic, I bet the IP for the HP world is insane. So I'm expecting the sets to be smaller than the last series to maintain responsible MSRP costs. Plus why make non-exclusive expensive sets if there's nothing new with HP in theaters, books or TV that Little Johnny's parents can buy to maintain interest.1 point

i picked up two sets for $427.92 after tax. the kids will 100% build one after I teach them about the Panama Canal. more info i learned or verified during my order by chatting w/ customer support. the "LUGLOVEINT" discount code still works. only 40,000 sets were designed and packaged at billund, denmark. not sure if the sets come sealed as i forgot to ask. sets are not numbered. the folks didn't consider typical AFOL factors when negotiating w/ Lego for the license. my order # was in the low double digits. i hope that isn't an indicator of demand or that 40k sets will take a long time to sellout.1 point

TRU has a number of sets on sale again this week at 30-40% off. Harley's Dorm - $11.99 Lena's Kryptonite Factory - $35.99 Eclipso Dark Palace - $59.99 Batgirl Bunker - $26.99 It looks like it's a 2-day sale only, so no chance to stack with TRUTH.1 point

Guys, what if this has all been one big diversion campaign, there is no new falcon, and 75192 is actually a toddler-scale pod racer. So bogus bricks will be just as flabbergasted as us when LEGO shocks the world with the real set. We've been smeckledorfed.1 point

I applied for a job at Sam's Club late last night, and got an interview and the job the very same morning shortly after I woke up today. I'm only 19 and an off and on college student who's been unemployed most of the past year so this is a big deal for me.1 point
