I'm in shock. It's 56 of the 61 bags and manual 2 and 3. I've asked if they have anymore or the other manual. All 3 manuals are about $350 plus on BL. This is up there with my 10030 find from a couple years ago. I need to figure out how easy it is to figure out the contents of the missing bags, and what my time and cost is going to be to gather it up vs just selling it as is on the bay.5 points

These are not in short supply. Not a fan of the 20 figure sets either for resale. So I still bought 80 cases at a discount cause I'm smart like that4 points

Just a heads up for cardholders. I received a one time 15 off 100 coupon in an email this afternoon. Lego hard to find is excluded. Everything else is a go I believe3 points

Maybe the real problem isn't the set, but the fact that people think they are going to strike it only one year after retirement. While it's nice to expect every set to go like an AT-AT, Town Hall, or Raptor Escape, that's not how it usually ever works on 90% of sets. Too many people want it all, and want it now... and those are the people that will be out of the game fairly quickly. I admit, I've cut my spending on investments to about 1/2 of what I spent last year, which was about 1/3rd of what I spent in 2015... So, there's definitely signs that Lego investing isn't what it used to be. However, if you invest in UCS Star Wars, I think it's wise to wait at least 3 to 4 years before you even begin to think about selling it. The problem is most of the people that bought don't want to wait that long, and so their lack of patience should make them question why they are in the game..3 points

Compared to the new-normal for UCS / Exclusive sets, These are doing quite well on Amazon USA, but that's likely due to the very strict gating (I've heard) on this product compared to other recent UCS retirees. Seems like many usual sellers were prevented from selling this one. I see 3 various listings on Amazon for 75059 (most likely to get around this issue) The lesser listings still as much as 400 shipped, the main listing at 427 shipped, and 449 shipped before you leave the first page of offers. Only 5 pages of offers in total tells me that this likely was gated more than usual or these weren't hoarded as much as earlier sets. Ebay USA's cheapest is $341 shipped but it quickly jumps to 370, 400, 440 with a few sales and only 71 listings total currently. To me, that's not bad for a recently retired set that many found on discount, especially as they had significant sales right into retirement announcement, meaning people are already making small profit even if bailing now. Must be a very different market in Europe on this one. I'm seeing it as pretty strong here based on numbers above. Totally agree that the irrational exuberance of the pop has slowed, and I believe that's a HEALTHY change from where we were. The B-Wing's life was so different than so many sets, I find it hard to bring into any comparison. Such a short life, such a wide-spread discount availability, such a HUGE sale (50%) nation-wide, but for such a short window (a few days online after the May 5th in-store blow out). If the gating was as restrictive as some have hinted, this one may have a really drastic difference between ebay and Amazon. This could be good for the set as it creates a 'false' sense of rarity on Amazon, pushing the ebay price further. Either way, I believe in this set long-term. IT's a classic, gets nothing but rave reviews from those who have built it, and will be hard to top perhaps meaning they might not ever consider re-doing, certainly not at UCS scale.3 points

A sealed case can be had for 150 or so on ebay. Have not seen that since series 2 simpsons which has not recovered from that low.3 points

That's the point of me saying in the next sentence to be happy with what I have and not be too greedy. It's an easy trap to fall into for any of us. I did remind myself that I was lucky to accidentally stumble upon it just floating around. Maybe my use of disappointed is a little deceiving. It's like going to on a trip and being disappointed you only got to see half of what they have to offer. The trip was still great though.1 point

That may depend on the dollar amount or percentage difference in prices. I've had to have a manager override previous price matches. Some things to note - the price match is limited to 2x an item and Amazon prices cannot be for Prime members only.1 point

Hello...I don't know to what extent you are involved in trying to make money from reselling LEGO sets/bricks, but waiting for glitches is a bad business model. The people who took advantage of the glitch were prepared and waiting for the regular deals to launch. It was not so much luck as it was being informed and taking a chance on potential deals. People grind out money from reselling LEGO sets to lipstick all the time...but they grind it out. They have a plan and put the work in and are ready to pull the trigger. Fortune favors the prepared mind...1 point

In the USA as a buyer and a seller I hate Smartpost. Yes it saves money when shipping items across country too large to fit in a USPS regional A or B mail box but when I see I have an inbound package coming Smartpost I cringe. Just too many hands on the package and transfer from FedEx to USPS adds another process where something can go wrong. Also here FedEx will not pickup Smartpost you have to drop it off so time and effort eats into your savings. There are times when say shipping an ISD 8 pounds from east coast to west coast 24 x 16 x 8 that it can save $25 versus USPS Priority Mail and $15 verses FedEx ground. I have had items delayed where FedEx tracking shows it has been delivered to the post office but for some reason they do not deliver it until Saturday other times where the package has gone back and forth between post offices in different states and times where FedEx sends it in a crazy route slow journey.1 point

I used to use it. I'd say about 15 times out of every 100 sales. BUT it just took one sale to a buyer who didn't understand the shipping method for me to never use it again. The buyer messaged me over and over again..why this and why that over where it was and how long it was taking even though the estimated time was accurate on my listing. I managed to keep the buyer cool and avoid negative feedback, but that was enough for me to stop using it just to save a few dollars. I'd rather up my price a bit and just ship USPS. I had one experience where I used it to ship something about 30 miles away. It took 7 days to get the item to the customer. Sat at a fed ex warehouse in the opposite direction for a few days arghhhh. That should have been clue enough for me. Again...most times no problems...but why risk it over a few dollars. YMMV.1 point
