  1. We were on vacation in Asheville, NC 2 weeks ago, and during one of the rainy-days, I saw an ad on Craigslist for bulk lego that had some Harry Potter parts sticking out. The lot was split into multiple bags, so I offered $100 to take them all. Before leaving, she had her son run in and get the "ship" that was sitting on his shelf. He came out and plopped a Black Pearl on top of one of the boxes. =) After soaking and cleaning he pieces, the Pearl was mostly complete, only missing 1 sail and 1 mini-fig. I've also inventoried a Clone Turbo Tank, a Hogwarts, Hagrids Hut, LOTR Mines of Moira, and a Hobbit Goblin King Battle. There's more, including some space themed sets that I haven't yet identified, along with some Ninjago dragons. Good pick-up so far.

  2. Having now built this, it's no wonder why Lego haven't released a UCS AT-AT. Despite his being well designed and structurally very stable it was a bit of nightmare putting everything together. I spent almost a day attaching the head onto the body. Biggest build to date coming in at just over 6700 pieces. Hopefully that will be topped by the new Falcon and then my UCS collection is complete with respect of in my opinion all of the iconic ships in Star Wars universe.

  3. Toys R Us gift cards are $40 for $50 value on eBay. No link on my tablet, but the seller is PayPal digital gifts. You can get at least 5, but 8 wouldn't work.

  9. My daughter got 41122 Adventure Camp Tree house for her 8th birthday and enjoyed building it, which a little help from me. Especially cheese-slopes and other small details she finds still tricky. And after building it she also enjoys playing with it.

  13. Nice to see Adam Grabowski a Lego Designer and AFOL from Poland (we used to be members of the same RLUG group before he joined TLG). Maybe that's why it's currently the cheapest offer out there on LEGO Shop at Home (cheapest in Europe) and second cheapest now worldwide (tax incl) Great project even better execution, day 1 purchase for sure, kudos to both designer and the author.

  18. I just had to call SAH customer support for something else. So I asked about 21309 he said they originally had 4,000 back orders in the US and 11,000 in Europe. All US back orders have been filled and most of Europes have been filled. He didn't know when it would be back on US SAH but said August 1 for Europe. Take it with a grain of salt as its "a LEGO employee told me" but that's the first i have heard that they are still filling back orders.

  19. I bought the Silent Mary today from Disney online. Used the 25% off and first time cardholder to get $100 statement credit. Comes out to $85. Either going to hold or build as I've not decided yet.

  25. So, I finally decided to crack open the set after being able to find time. However, I had to call in some additional help. "Okay, team. Grab that thing-a-ma-brick and we'll attach it to here..." "Okay, Captain. I'm going to give you this injection for space sickness. So hold still. This won't hurt...much.." "Uh...doctor, are you sure...." "Shhhhh."

  39. Paid a few pounds for this 1960s set at a local Car Boot Sale. Not sure of its value (Bricklink has one without the booklet for £15 but can't find it elsewhere). Really interesting box and booklet. Everyone else was haggling over low-end Star Wars sets.

  40. I've got 15 Rancor Pits and 11 Jabba Palace. I plan on selling as a pair, but I will have a few extra Rancor Pits that I will sell individually. I think the Pit will do just fine by itself because it is the only set to ever feature the Rancor maxifig. If you haven't seen or held that fig in person it is absolutely amazing. There will always be those people that for some reason or another acquired the Palace but never got the Pit, and now they want one. The combos are selling for a pretty penny already, but I don't plan on selling any of my Pits or Palaces for at least another two years because I think the ceiling on these is very high.
