  7. When my family and I visited Montana a few years ago, one of first stops was Walmart in Boseman (never seen a Walmart before). Anyway , across the road was a Kmart . A SUPER Kmart no less , so we had a look. This shop was so big , and so empty , my kids actually filmed a zombie movie in there while we looked around. To top it off, the lady that served us at the checkout, had a BEARD.

  9. Was at a conference in Berlin yesterday and snuck out during lunch to visit the reopened Berlin flagship store. Got VW Beetle and T1 at 20% off and the promo sets :-D The minifig set is numbered, but labelled as item #852766. Anybody know what's up with that? Seems to be re-used/-issued for any custom minifig-triples? (brickfolio, brickset.com etc. list different sets)

  10. Saw how popular the 41178 Dragon Santuary was and came across a website which sold 20 of the baby dragon Rayne. Bought them all for € 73. Sold them all within two weeks on Bricklink to one buyer and made € 155 profit. Good times!!!

  11. Disney Castle for $300 off of FB Marketplace. New and sealed. Better price than if I could have used that coupon at LEGOLAND California that they denied me.

  16. I have loved lego my whole life. Have gotten my kids to love them to. I have passed down a few of my old sets to them and they just love them, looking for that rare piece or mini fig. So just wanted to say hey.

  20. Why is everyone talking about seal codes already? This set isn't a limited edition / numbered edition set etc, it'll be out just like other idea sets for at least one year.

  25. Guys I can confirm it's not a rumor anymore, it's confirmed and I saw it just moments ago behind closed doors. I really can't say much nor I wasn't able to enter the room with camera ofc but what I can tell you about it... it's about 30cm-35cm long, 15-20cm tall, it's based on retro design of the London Bus and seeing this you feel this heritage of the 60's 70's. comes with detachable top plus entire top floor is detachable to get the better access, it's full of very interesting details and techniques used to accomplish some part of the construction. This is just my initial few words after seeing this just moments ago. You can remove the Rumor from the title

  31. not all ideas sets are out for year(s). Research institute was only available officially for 4 months. mars rover cuusoo was available for even less than that. i don't think anyone can say with any certainty how long a set will and won't be made. certainly visions of mars rover is fueling some of the demand. serendipity favors the well stocked storage room.

  34. I'd build that ****, but it doesn't really have anything to do with the box condition. That being said, my personal opinion is that you are dealing with relatively minor damage. I've seen worse on store shelves.

  35. Can't speak for UK, but in US I've sold hundreds of sets with worse boxes than that, both big and small. No buyer has blinked twice let alone complain, because if they pay any attention they know what they are getting. Just be up front about condition, include that photo if reselling, and if you run into one of these supposed scam buyers, fight it politely until the bitter end.

  36. I don't know what is happening in Hungary, but the local web shops are going apeshit by massively discounting some exclusives. 30% discounts or more are quite common. And not just the bad sellers, basically everything. Just bought a Porsche with 40% off. These guys tend to have some early hints at what is going to happen, so I would not be surprised at an exclusives exodus this year to narrow down the overly bloated portfolio.

  40. Lol. So many haters here. "I hope this is like The Tumbler." Lol. I came to this forum over three years ago to collaborate, contribute and hopefully learn how to be a better reseller. Now I just come on here to lurk on the haters and use the Brickfolio which I am sincerely grateful. for. I just don't understand the jealously here and make no mistake, that's all it is. I see the same thing at my job. I work in sales and some of us make $10k a month and others only make $2k and the ones that make $2k a month have the same attitudes that I see from a few on this forum. If you are on a reselling forum and get pissed that you didn't get your Saturn V on June 1st then I don't feel sorry for you because you weren't trying hard enough. There are reselling experts on here. Reach out to them is you're struggling in one area of your reselling business model. It wasn't too long ago that I could only afford only 33 Santas Workshops. Some may say, "ONLY 33 Santa's Workshops??" Well it took me over a year to buy all those sets and I worked very hard to get them. As I worked hard to purchase some sets, it eventually became easier to buy others. Now I am buying hundreds, that's right, hundreds, of one set (It's not Saturn V) that everybody has access to right now. I fully intend to corner the market once this set retires and I don't feel bad about it at all. It's also important to understand that intelligent resellers needs quick flippers in order to compile data on a set. In 2018-19 folks will turn to CamelX3 to see what Saturn V was selling for on the date it was released. If the data shows that it went for 225-$250, which it will, and you can get this set discounted at $99 then that's a good buy and you know it will definitely perform better than The Tumbler. I know some much bigger resellers than me. I was talking to one the other week and they told me they made close to $15k on their Saturn V rockets. You know what I told them, "Congratulations." I also chat with smaller resellers and I say the same thing to them. All of us have one main thing in common, we're successful. You are the company you keep. Congratulations! I am happy for you.

  43. Silent Mary. Definitely not for everyone. Starts out as a mostly technic build. The hull is nice to build versus just putting together 5 solid pieces with a few technic pins in 30 seconds will have to see if the display of it grows on me. It is not a mirror symmetrical build so there are differences between the two sides. There are also "missing" pieces to give it that ghost ship appearance I think the only one I may have to add is the gold post that is part of the front railing. Not a fan of the breakaway mast and will probably mod that to be a little taller and fixed.

  44. Tonight I sliced open 75052 Mos Eisley Cantina. Pretty cool set and surprised by its dismal investment performance thus far... What's not to love? Iconic scene setting, 8 minifigs, landspeeder, dewback, and vaporator. I think it's a great set and will go nicely with other Tatooine related sets.
