This is what we did with the Ribba frame from ikea. Bought full matt sheets from Michaels the craft junk store and cut them to replace the ones it came with. Hot glued (yup) 2x4 bricks to it. Fits 54 figures nicely.4 points

Recently I got back from a duty in Nigeria and bought some retired sets for myself (thanks to the allowance). One of these sets is set 10027 "Train Engine Shed". After I received the set I dismantled it, washed the bricks and base plates and started building. During the building I found several parts were used which are not original and some parts were missing. Still need to order those. Nevertheless I am very very happy with this set. A great appearance and it looks great on display. One day I will use it for my future City. Luckily I found out the Emerald Night (another set I bought after my duty) cannot pass it due to the width. A major crash has been avoided . Cheers!4 points

First attempt at using rebrickable and brick link. Should have really stuck to building 1 model at a time but complicated life by ordering for 4 different models to save on postage. Finding some parts of both brick link and rebrickable more hard work than they really need to be. Here is my first moc, Anio's ST19 Sith Infiltrator. Still waiting on a few final printed parts and the sticker but happy with the result. Roskolnikovs large AT-AT is next up then the upgrade pack for 42056 and thanks to @thoroakenfolder I'm busy collecting parts for a 101343 points

Kmart closing - Day 1: I see a few differences from the last closing 3-4 months ago: - 25% on toys on day 1 - no paper/mobile coupons are being accepted and all clerks were adamant about this. - I loaded a mobile coupon to my account and it did not apply - deals like $5 in points on a $25 or $40 purchase don't apply - GCs and merch cards do work - signage everywhere says No coupons No way... I hope this is because so many BP'ers took advantage of some good deals last round:) - all cashiers were taking the coupons and throwing them away as they printed, as if they'd been told to do so. I asked to see mine and said maybe I could use it at another store. He handed me mine ($10 in points on a $50 online purchase), and another one ($10 in points on a $30 online purchase). If all of the coupons are for decent $$$ back for online purchases make sure to grab them. result - I made one test purchase of a Fire Dragon and smalls, and then one 76027 Black Manta Deep Sea Strike for $29.99 in points.3 points

if it's ebay, there's the 10% ebay bucks going right now, that always gets the buyers going on stuff they are on the fence about. I know it works for me I sold my last Gingerbread House/Snowglobe combo for $100 yesterday as well.3 points

Non-fruitcake story. Bought and paid for a set. The seller inventoried before shipping, found some missing parts and offered several remedies. We agreed to a refund to cover the cost of BrickLinking the missing parts. Set shipped promptly. Set arrived and I discovered it was missing some parts the seller hadn't caught. The seller agreed to issue another refund to cover the additional replacement cost. Annoying to have to do some more work to get a complete set but at least the interactions with the seller were pretty painless.3 points

If you want to do a state identifier I would suggest showing the state name instead of the flag. I barely know our own flag let alone other states. I bet I could pick out less than 10.3 points

My daughter and I built 41593 Captain Jack Sparrow Brickhead on a daddy daughter date night last week, which she followed up with 41586 Batgirl Brickhead earlier this week after it went on sale at TRU while we were spending $30 to get a free battlepod. I am not a Brickheadz guy, but my daughter loves them!2 points

It proved to be profitable as a quick flip and it still kinda is. People buying these up early for investment purposes are taking a risk .... as with all other lego sets. Tread water carefully. U wanna build it now? Go get one now.2 points

Hi all, Last weekend I visited a small Lego show in the South of The Netherlands: "Bricktopia". I made a lot of HD video's and some pictures. Unfortunately the pictures were taken with my Vintage Iphone so my apologies for the quality. I saw some great models and a very nice medieval scenery. There was a table where children could do some building, that gave me extra time to walk around . I hope you enjoy the pictures!:2 points

Funny thing happened at TRU today. Walked in the store and most of the lego were priced at RRP, thought I was in the wrong store for a minute... also picked up a pair of Bane's Trucks + Battle Pods for $36 each.1 point

What's your best strategy for dealing with a short absence (5 days) when it comes to your EBay listings? I don't have a store, and know of the following: - Pull all listings - Set all sell prices to some insane number in the hope that nobody buys - Leave everything up, and incur the ding for late shipping should there be any sales (I've sold through most of my fast selling stuff so sales have been pretty slow the last few weeks, maybe 1 sale per week) I'm likely going to just pull all my listings (even though that means missing out on the 10% EBay Bucks promo which is still active during my upcoming absence), but if there are better options I'd like to know ....1 point

There is a lot of hype about this set but i have no info of the scarcity over time. 2019 will be 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 if it lasts til then. I like this set, I'd bet the kids on this one.1 point

I had problems with certain company's paints. Hasbro red and orange bleached but other companies didn't have the same problem. I would suggest that anyone who is concerned, use a part you don't care about to test. I did not have any problems with the few parts I tried that had stickers. LEGO stickers seem to be quite robust.1 point

Little update. I did 7 order for the 400 part missing. Cost me 80 euros of part and something like 50 euros of shipping and fees... I think I have one order for 1,5 euros of part and 6 euros of shipping ? but that was the best I could do. I could have been smoothin the orders on more project and over time, but in the end I decided to go the fastest way and focus on this project only... All orders are on their way, I expect most of them to arrived by this week. So In total, I would have spend: 82 euros on the bulk listing of ~2000 parts on eBay plus 13 of shipping 42 euros on the sticker plus 4 of shipping (Bricklink Seller W44SHOP still has some, and the one I received was mint) 80 euros on Bricklink order for the last 400 remaining parts plus 5 minifig in new condition and 50 euros of shipping that would total for 271 euros which I think is a very good price. All the parts will be legit Lego part in the correct color (old grey color in the bulk were discarded) I will post a picture once assembled! Also, as I was posting before, I tried whitening some parts because, why not! I used a mix of Peroxyde Hydrogen and Washing Soda. I first put some lukewarm water just enough to submerged the lego parts entirely. Then I disolved a tea spoon of washing soda in it. Then I poured two table spoon of Peroxyde Hydrogen (mine was higly concentrated at 35%. Watch out for your eyes) I put it in the sun for about 2 hours, stiring and re submerging part every 15-30 minutes because from what I understand, the chemical reaction creates the little bubbles you can see in the picture which are CO² (carbon dioxyde) which makes the lego part floating... just a gentle poke every few and then to remove the bubble (especially from the bottom of the part) and voila! These are the part before. Some are very yellowed, other not so much on the top but more on the side Here are the same parts after a session of whitening... most of them look just as new (if you do not count the bite mark on them lol! ) I still have a lot to do, will start building soon, I think my biggest luck was to find the eBay bulk sale. thank you all for your input. Great Community!1 point
