  1. Bittersweet sale last week. Sold my used 10179 for two bills. After fees, profit is $400. So basically, I was paid $400 to build and display the set for a nice amount of time. It Probably would have fetched closer to $2,800 if sold near the release of The Force Awakens. Some pics...

  2. It's really nice here. The crazy part is that I took this photo at 11pm and the sun is still out. The sun was also back up again at like 3:30am. It is 4:45 am now and I am wide awake. I was going to ask the pilot if we could stop real quick at LEGO HQ, and get some details on the new Falcon

  3. Recently I got back from a duty in Nigeria and bought some retired sets for myself (thanks to the allowance). One of these sets is set 10027 "Train Engine Shed". After I received the set I dismantled it, washed the bricks and base plates and started building. During the building I found several parts were used which are not original and some parts were missing. Still need to order those. Nevertheless I am very very happy with this set. A great appearance and it looks great on display. One day I will use it for my future City. Luckily I found out the Emerald Night (another set I bought after my duty) cannot pass it due to the width. A major crash has been avoided . Cheers!

  6. May ended up being a very slow month on BL, though I had a few large orders that made the month overall very profitable. I blame all the clearance for the slow down. This month, I've already matched sales. Even though I raised my minimum order to $15. Common theme, kids stuff. Here's some things to take note of: 70787 Tahu $20 41055 Cindy castle $70 70784 Lewa $13 75110 skywalker $15 41116 explor car $14 21117 ender dragon $ 65 (really wasn't expecting this. I passed so many at 50% off.) 75109 obi wan $16 21124 end portal $55 75916 Dil Am $40 41015 dolphin $75 10721 iM v Loki $12 10542 sleeping beauty $37 75134 GE BP $15 Cpt hook $6 Tartan BM $7.50 70366 BS Lance $9

  15. I've seen a lot of people go for Ikea Ribba framed for minifigure display. I did mine with a large grey baseplate and I fit 48 collectible minifigs nicely. I've seen people also build out the display shelves as well and you can end up fitting lots more. Now if only I can find the 2 missing figs from series 15. I know they are around somewhere.

  19. Nope. It's a narrative. It was even discussed on Rebel Force Radio last week. I can't believe a comic would try to alter film canon. Oh well... maybe the last issue will be Vader is the shower and shown to be just a dream (kinda like Dallas did when Bobby Ewing died). Oops, I forgot the spoiler tag for the Dallas show.

  20. Sold my last 75054 AT-AT last night for €210 cash. Exactly double my buy-in when I bought these just after I came out of my Lego Dark Ages late 2015. At that time I just couldn't fathom how people would some day be paying a large premium over a set that was available in every toy store selling LEGO sets, and regularly sold at good discount as well! Speaking from hindsight: I should have bought a lot more of this set!

  24. I must admit I love LEGO Shop at Home with their beautiful promos, lovely VIP points and stupidly great shipping policies. In the last few days I sold 3 buildable R2-D2s for €20 cash each and a London Bus/VW Mini Beetle for €45 cash. Love you LEGO Shop at Home

  25. I built the UCS B-Wing 10227 over the weekend as the kids and I continue to work our way through our Star Wars want list whenever we have enough profits from Legos sales to finance our next buy. I enjoyed the build as it had some different pieces that I have never used before...plus I am always a sucker for a large OT set. I haven't built the 75050 B-Wing for comparison, but have been busy selling them to pay for sets like these ?. (Sorry for the low quality pics...we had bad lighting and just snapped them quickly.) Next up for us will be the Tantive IV 10198, which we are excited to finally build.

  30. You'll notice the word "No" only appears in a white dialogue box once, at the same way it is shown on screen. The preceding Nos all appear in black boxes, which represent his inner thoughts. No canon has been changed. They are simply showing what he was thinking before he spoke

  33. I use the seasonal red ornament containers that Walmart sells during the holidays. Get them after New Years to get the cost down. They have dividers to separate your themes or what have you. I use these for figure accessories as well.

  34. Actually, Lucasfilm and Marvel are rewriting canon around this set. The "Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo" is now "No" "No" "No" "No" "No" Plus Vader throws back The Emperor who was just helping Nothing is sacred anymore. Not even the terrible "Noooooooooooooooo"

  35. I disagree with your Super Meh award unless you honestly believe that Lego can go from concept phase, to design, to 3-D model, to redesign, to brick model, to packaging, to production, quality control, back to production, and finally packaging and distribution in 3 months or less. That would make them the most innovative and fastest company of this magnitude in the world (doesn't sound like the Lego I know considering their website sucks). It is more likely that Lego worked on the mini model and the larger model at the same time similar to the new beetle. My wife and I are excited to buy this, if it looks nice.

  36. Sold my first big box : 1 x 75059 STAR WARS SANDCRAWLER for 379 euros + shipping. 100 euros profit I am ok with that, could have waited more but it is a bit of a pain with big boxes (room/shipping...) so from now I'll just stick to small ish lego boxes.

  38. why hoard when you can flip them all now at 75-100$ a set? Since they are still in production, this is a simple opportunity to make quick cash. Not sure why any of this is surprising or controversial.

  40. As promise, an update! So with my girlfriend we took it all appart. Some pieces are new, but not all are. some looks veeeeery old and time has work it's dark magic on those little bricks... You can see here the two bottom piece being new and the two top one being yellowed by time... Here the difference is so important, but I think those old gear are Old Light grey and not light bluish grey like the gear on the left... Here it's clearly some old grey... well, I was buying some parts anyway so Now I've sorted all the parts, I need to update my inventory on the wanted list I made on bricklink and then I'll know what remains to buy... I already bought the sticker for 45 euros, it was the cheapest listing on bricklink and the seller was only selling stickers so that was taken care of. One happy surprise is the Windscreen was in the blue box, Yay! Now I have to find a way to un-yellowed all those old pieces to see if I can give them their long forgotten smooth feeling. ?
