  1. Bittersweet sale last week. Sold my used 10179 for two bills. After fees, profit is $400. So basically, I was paid $400 to build and display the set for a nice amount of time. It Probably would have fetched closer to $2,800 if sold near the release of The Force Awakens. Some pics...
  2. It's really nice here. The crazy part is that I took this photo at 11pm and the sun is still out. The sun was also back up again at like 3:30am. It is 4:45 am now and I am wide awake. I was going to ask the pilot if we could stop real quick at LEGO HQ, and get some details on the new Falcon
  3. Recently I got back from a duty in Nigeria and bought some retired sets for myself (thanks to the allowance). One of these sets is set 10027 "Train Engine Shed". After I received the set I dismantled it, washed the bricks and base plates and started building. During the building I found several parts were used which are not original and some parts were missing. Still need to order those. Nevertheless I am very very happy with this set. A great appearance and it looks great on display. One day I will use it for my future City. Luckily I found out the Emerald Night (another set I bought after my duty) cannot pass it due to the width. A major crash has been avoided . Cheers!
  4. And for Halloween
  5. What's the problem? My telephone cord reaches the computer just fine. So, I can talk on the phone at the same time.
  6. May ended up being a very slow month on BL, though I had a few large orders that made the month overall very profitable. I blame all the clearance for the slow down. This month, I've already matched sales. Even though I raised my minimum order to $15. Common theme, kids stuff. Here's some things to take note of: 70787 Tahu $20 41055 Cindy castle $70 70784 Lewa $13 75110 skywalker $15 41116 explor car $14 21117 ender dragon $ 65 (really wasn't expecting this. I passed so many at 50% off.) 75109 obi wan $16 21124 end portal $55 75916 Dil Am $40 41015 dolphin $75 10721 iM v Loki $12 10542 sleeping beauty $37 75134 GE BP $15 Cpt hook $6 Tartan BM $7.50 70366 BS Lance $9

  8. Wild Wins in the Xtra section has $2.00 wins right now. It says only for an hour starting at 2 PM but I just did it 2 minutes ago.

In stock @ Amazon right now. Limit 2.
  10. Kinder Surprise sucks.. worst toys ever and the chocolate isn't even that good.
  11. Yeah! Every member gets a Swedish Kinder egg!
  12. I was told explicitly that you need to re-list any current items that you have running for them to count.
  13. They're separate 1-hour sweeps in addition to the WWW.
  14. Traffic was bad today in the Mojave.
  15. I've seen a lot of people go for Ikea Ribba framed for minifigure display. I did mine with a large grey baseplate and I fit 48 collectible minifigs nicely. I've seen people also build out the display shelves as well and you can end up fitting lots more. Now if only I can find the 2 missing figs from series 15. I know they are around somewhere.
  16. For you rockers out there, today's job
  17. Cool GMA clip with a tour of Carrie's house and stuff in her upcoming auction. Watch "Bright Lights" with her and Debbie Reynolds, good stuff. http://www.jedinews.co.uk/conventions-events/articles/good-morning-america-look-carrie-fishers-home-auction/
  18. Nope. It's a narrative. It was even discussed on Rebel Force Radio last week. I can't believe a comic would try to alter film canon. Oh well... maybe the last issue will be Vader is the shower and shown to be just a dream (kinda like Dallas did when Bobby Ewing died). Oops, I forgot the spoiler tag for the Dallas show.
  19. Sold my last 75054 AT-AT last night for €210 cash. Exactly double my buy-in when I bought these just after I came out of my Lego Dark Ages late 2015. At that time I just couldn't fathom how people would some day be paying a large premium over a set that was available in every toy store selling LEGO sets, and regularly sold at good discount as well! Speaking from hindsight: I should have bought a lot more of this set!
  20. I'll take some of those red fish.
  21. Been way to quiet on here today! https://m.kmart.com/Elves--8482--Fire-Dragon-s-Lava-Cave--41175/p-004W007081038001P Elves Fire Dragon $23.99, pair that with the $5 off $20 floating around for a darn good deal!
  22. I have a bit of clean up to do and yes need to work through the mixels and minifigs. I am actually in Sweden right now for work, will clean this up when I get back.
  23. I must admit I love LEGO Shop at Home with their beautiful promos, lovely VIP points and stupidly great shipping policies. In the last few days I sold 3 buildable R2-D2s for €20 cash each and a London Bus/VW Mini Beetle for €45 cash. Love you LEGO Shop at Home
  24. I built the UCS B-Wing 10227 over the weekend as the kids and I continue to work our way through our Star Wars want list whenever we have enough profits from Legos sales to finance our next buy. I enjoyed the build as it had some different pieces that I have never used before...plus I am always a sucker for a large OT set. I haven't built the 75050 B-Wing for comparison, but have been busy selling them to pay for sets like these ?. (Sorry for the low quality pics...we had bad lighting and just snapped them quickly.) Next up for us will be the Tantive IV 10198, which we are excited to finally build.
  25. There is only something wrong with the moron that posts the updates. I will try to get it done this weekend for you.
  26. Made with a 11" x 18" keepsake box from Aaron Brothers..

Hey guys, I'm always finding myself trying to remember where someone has said they're from while reading discussions in the Wal-Mart/Target Clearance, which vary wildly by region. I think it would be helpful, but I also just find it interesting to know where everyone's from. The US is pretty darn big. I could see people not wanting to provide that information, so making it optional would work. I'm thinking it would be in lieu of the US flag flair so all my fellow Texans would automatically be on board ? (I'm not actually from Texas but I lived there for a few years).
  29. Designer video is up....
  30. Non-fruitcake story. Bought and paid for a set. The seller inventoried before shipping, found some missing parts and offered several remedies. We agreed to a refund to cover the cost of BrickLinking the missing parts. Set shipped promptly. Set arrived and I discovered it was missing some parts the seller hadn't caught. The seller agreed to issue another refund to cover the additional replacement cost. Annoying to have to do some more work to get a complete set but at least the interactions with the seller were pretty painless.
  31. Kasseby has more depth than Ribba. I know I had to manipulate the figs a bit especially if they are a bit larger like the tails of the Shark Suit guy or figs with tails. Kasseby door would make swapping out figs much easier. Ribba can still technically hold more figs overall if you want to go for count over all. See this vid on how the guy fit 135 figs into Ribba 50x50cm.
  32. Hover over the flag next to your username now. That should suffice, no? Maybe not on mobile though.
  33. I agree. I have seen really nice Minifigures display cases but at bit pricey . I was able to make a homemade display case all for under $20.00 here is the end result
  34. SAH sale items now 30% off. Get those Angry Birds before they fly off the shelves at 50% off!
  35. I use old baseball card boxes (the long ones). I then put a piece of cardboard down the middle to have twice the storage essentially and bag each mini-figure and label each one and place in number/theme order. The split down the middle is done because the bags will sit in there by themselves and won't mix up even if shaken on both sides. I also like the softer cardboard over harder plastic to reduce any chance of scratch or hard rub. Also the cardboard boxes I bought for .50 cents each and now wish I would have bought more or wish the local baseball card shoppe didn't shut down.
  36. I use the seasonal red ornament containers that Walmart sells during the holidays. Get them after New Years to get the cost down. They have dividers to separate your themes or what have you. I use these for figure accessories as well.
  37. why hoard when you can flip them all now at 75-100$ a set? Since they are still in production, this is a simple opportunity to make quick cash. Not sure why any of this is surprising or controversial.
  38. Look what I finally took out of the car lol. When I risked my life to drive around in a tropical storm to find 7 dollar scout troopers (and whatever else I found) Yes it was worth it.
  39. Just finished this beauty today. I was very surprised that it took me 17 hours to build it, but it was great fun.
  40. Disney must do a new tie fighter variant with each movie, yo!
  41. Hmmmm... where's that dislike button again?
  42. i shouldn't laugh but that was funny.
  43. Nevermind your collection, that box is fantastic! Very well made, and an excellent idea. In all seriousness though (not that that wasn`t) keep it up, I`m sure you`ll fill the case in no time. Plenty of variety to choose from on ebay/bricklink.
