I know you guys joke about cheese slopes, but seriously, this has got to be absolutely fake. For one, outside of a few cosmetic changes, this 'fake' is almost a carbon copy of 10179. Secondly, I know Lego likes to add a bunch of smaller pieces, but there's no way they added almost 2500 pieces to basically a carbon copy...

That piece in the lower left box looks wrong (appears to lack symmetry). And as if I even needed to mention it, the jpeg encoding algorithm is all over the place on this one.

I got them for about $101 w/ tax included. "Why so many?" What are we doing here?? Is this some Sunday paper chase or are we trying to go to the throat & corner the market?? What I'm going to do with them is sell them so I can buy 1,000 The Louvre before it retires. Easiest was to flip $41k into $100k.

Unless there's a solid plan, it will be posted in "what sets will you take to the grave" thread in few years...

As long as the item wasn't damaged and the advertised shipping service was used, I'd never leave negative feedback for that or complain to the seller.

So disappointed they aren't continuing the classic minifigure box series. Previous three were al offered as a promo in July, so I don't think we'll get one this year. They could have done a Western themed one or Adventurers or something. Or just classic Town.

Looks like the cockpit from set 75105 was pasted over the 10179 cockpit. It does not look right. Definitely a fake.

This is one of my favorite sets I've ever built. And I've built a few. Additionally, the display value is tops.

I bought one of these ages ago and stuck it in the loft, hoping to sell it after retirement and make a little profit. Built the new carousel (10257) this week and just had to build the Ferris Wheel as well, so out of the loft it came! I have no willpower! Both of these fantastic sets complement each other superbly. I'm looking forward to the next release in the "theme", hopefully it will be some sort of roller coaster.

Maybe what they mean is it takes that long for paypal to approve the first linkage of paypal to bank account or credit card. Suggest telling them you will reserve the item for them till they are able to pay (max 7 days) and ask them to contact you then to go through the payment procedure. A scammer will not be that patient, unless the value is really high. You could alwasyas ask for payment by friends and family, then you are in the clear whatever happens.

This morning I almost ordered one from Amazon. I get paid tomorrow. I have the Prime Rewards Visa Card so 5% back is nice. But @Phil B is right, this likely will be available for awhile and will be discounted eventually. So for today, I will stay my hand. Plus, gotta pay off those credit cards.

Many other items are $7 off which works out well for some of the lower priced items including baseplates etc. PS good on mastermind for at least getting into the game with some deals of late.
