The Lego Batman Movie sets marked down again at Costco: 70905 The Batmobile: $29.99, 50% off retail ( as mentioned yesterday by @justapilgrim ) 70901 Mr. Freeze Ice Attack: $6.99, 70% off retail 70902 The Catwoman Catcycle Chase: $6.99, 70% off retail This is YMMV as they are just clearing out what they still have left from the shipment they got a couple of months ago.3 points

41176 the secret marketplace. This is the one with the green dragon. It disappeared first from what I remember. It was clearanced around me for $30 before Christmas. Only picked up one thinking it was too early for it to retire. Oops. 41178 dragon sanctuary, the purple dragon one. I don't think I ever saw this one clearanced, it just disappeared during Christmastime and never came back. I did end up getting a bunch at a closing Kmart for about $30 each. I got excited when the price shot to $80+ and sold one then. Then another at $100, and a couple at $125. Now I have one left that I have listed at $150, which has got to be about as high as it will go right? I also let my wife open and build one because she likes the elves line....this was before the price went up. A couple reasons I think this one does better than the secret market place, besides maybe that it's more rare, is the color of the dragon and the build itself. There's already another elves set with a green dragon. This is the only purple one. And for anyone collecting all the dragon sets , this ones main build is a tower thing that has a spot for each of the different dragon eggs.3 points

If it's not a big seller (TRU, Target, etc.), ask them to revise their price.2 points

Some of us act as their warehouses, storing their sets in return for a discounted price, until the Christmas season.2 points

I was going to ask where in the world they still have B&N stock like that, but your user name clearly explains it. Some Pringles trivia for the rest of us: Invented in Ohio The guy who invented the can was so proud of it he asked to be buried in a big one Pringles don't actually contain enough Potato to be called Potato Chips That's thoroughly disturbing.2 points

Those guys made OPEC seem like a fair trade organisation the way they manipulated the market. Travel to another city and you´d be able to swap all your duds to complete the collection in a heartbeat.2 points

A friend of mine is thinking about offering his exceptional cognitive abilities (= member of Mensa = higher IQ than 98 % of the population) on a "pay-per-advice" basis to anyone having a problem/question he or she just cannot make a decision or is clueless about. 1) What would you ask someone like him/her? 2) What would you be willing to pay for a single advice? 3) Do "services" like this already exist (not counting fortunetellers or suicide hotlines) thx1 point

I don't know if you have inside info or not, but tomorrow is the 40th Anniversary and if any day is ripe for an announcement it's tomorrow.1 point

Has anybody tried to make a bigger batsuit holding system with these. My son wants all his batman suits on there but I'm wondering what's an efficient way of going about it. Thanks1 point

I've noticed a trend selling on eBay, the more questions a buyer asks, the more likely they are to be a pain in my backside after the sale is complete. Just like a funko buyer "can you please pick the best box you have to send? Box condition is very important to me." Nope, buy from someone else.1 point
-
Any buyer that asks that many questions about a mixed/bulk lot I'm selling gets blocked. End of story. Bulk is bulk, do not buy based on what you think is there, pay only for what you actually see. And no, I am not the seller that started this whole fiasco off.1 point

One scam I'm seeing a lot on eBay lately (then again, maybe it's old news... I don't shop on eBay a lot)... I see hijacked accounts run dozens of auctions for $100 - $300 items - sometimes Lego, sometimes game consoles... whatever - all the auctions will end on the same day, at the same time. Clearly the seller is looking to collect what he can on that day, and scoot before Paypal figures it out. For the most part, pretty easy to spot: items always are stock photos from the web. Whenever you see a Lego Sandcrawler on auction with a stock photo, for example, just click on "See other items" from the same seller. You'll often find 15 or 50 other auctions ending exactly the same time... that plus seller history showing they haven't sold anything in a year = scammer.1 point

Yeah, definitely 50%. Unusual for us to get a significant discount on any large set! It and Assault on Hoth are half price in Target as of tomorrow.1 point

Sorry to hear that. I always make my decision on shipping without tracking based on feedback and dollar value. If they don't like price of tracking, I can ship letter mail but they need to take all the risk and pay me via friends and family option.1 point

I'm glad I didn't buy the first Batmobile for my son just yet, because this version is definitely screaming for his birthday present. That set is lego creativity at its finest.1 point
