Tonight I finally finished off the UCS Tie Fighter while watching Episode IV. After sitting in my build pile since December, I decided to put it together doing 1-2 bags per night over the last week. Overall, I was very happy with the set. I'm not sure why such harsh criticism? Also, I disassembled and put away Technic set 42030 Volvo L350F Wheel Loader....primarily in order to make room for more SW UCS sets. UCS Slave 1 is up next.5 points

4 75049 Snowspeeder $52 each. Not bad considering I just picked them up a week ago.2 points

Those aren't clearance items. The clearance items are the ones on the main list that originally ended in .98. Sith Infiltator, Hurricane Heist, Jestro, Avenjet and First Order Transporter are clearanced. Everything else is just "Sale".2 points

My snow speeder arrived today. Corner was slightly crushed but r2 was in there so I'm happy. Bought a few things at TRU to celebrate their arrival. Oh crap, wrong thread.2 points

$75 for X-Mas isn't far-fetched at all. That's 6 more months of low ballers getting rid of their stock.2 points

Toys R Us Today: First off, this was my 2nd large haul off a sale, and for those of you who do this on the regular... hats off... it was exhausting haha (but a rush too) Picked up: x4 Dilophosaurus Ambush (75916) x1 Crossbones Hazard (76050) - (personal) x1 Avenjet (76049) - (personal) x3 Scuderia Ferrari Truck (75913) x3 4x4 Off Roader (60115) No Raptors, and someone snatched the last two Sith Infiltrators right as I was debating getting them. Now the fun part, I head to the register and for whatever reason, Dilophosaurus / Crossbones / Avenjet ring up correctly with price from website, but the Scuderia Truck and 4x4 do not... So we price match, then I apply for TRU CC and stack 15% off on top of that... However, the ones that the cashier price matched manually (scuderia and 4x4) did NOT deduct the additional 15% off... so we had to manually adjust them AGAIN. Now while this is happening and the line is growing angry behind me, my cashier calls over her manager for help and he sees my x3 Scuderia's and says "Oh crap, that's my order I am trying to fill for a customer". He then awkwardly asks me if I am reseller and tries to bribe me to leave 1 of the 3 behind so he can fulfill his customer's order. I politely say no (I did not rush out of work to then have my product guilted away from me). Well he then CALLS the customer right next to me and tells them "Sorry, another customer JUST purchased your sets", naturally the receiving person didn't seem happy. Overall, kind of awkward... Anyways, after all of that, she manually price matched everything and I paid with discounted GC from Rise I bought this morning with the MOM3 code. Worked like a charm. So sale price + 15% off TRU CC + discounted GCs > that 20+ minute transaction2 points

maybe he's just doing a public service by trying to mop up this endless lingering TRU-exclusive stock blocking these recently retired sets from enjoying the post EOL bump they so justly deserve. keep it up IronManDan!2 points

@Alpinemaps had the same thing after I had to reestablish my RewardsRUs account after it was hacked. Try doing it then go to your TRU account like you are going to buy something and update your TRU password to match your new rewards password. Worked for me.1 point

This is why I find setting aside my need for profit so liberating. The recent reduction of the eBay TRS final value fee discount from 20% to 10% has lately helped in this regard. Only when you free your soul from the material plane, will you be truly free.1 point

Apologies if this is posted elsewhere, I couldn't find a related topic. Anyway, this is now selling on Amazon here in the U.K. for £28. It's creeping up in price quite nicely.1 point

i went in quite deep at 50% in uk, should do well if jawas don't show up everywhere. Previous version 9490 did great for me, carried by those detailed sandtroopers.1 point

lol Shrewd sleuthing or witty rapport? Either way, respect the mini-VW. Saved my BrickLink store, and my marriage. =)1 point

End of April slowed some for me, compared from Feb and March, but I also pulled a lot of my loose brick out of my inventory as I've been shifting to selling primarily sealed sets. I also raised the prices on many of my sets as I felt more confident in what I was doing and didn't need to undercut so much to get a sale. But since May started my sales have increased again. At my new higher prices =) I'm still pretty new to this, been open just over a year now, But certainly having a higher feedback score helps, and I'm seeing more frequent customers buying from me in bulk. It's not clear if my new strategies are working or just my good customer service is driving the sales. Maybe a combo of both. I'm happy though.1 point

Do you need the receipts? If you have a TRU card, you can log in to your account to see the transactions. Alternatively, if you log into in your rewards account (https://rewardsrus.toysrus.com/) you'll see a full breakdown of what you bought by item as well as the Rewards points earned. Go to Manage Account>Review Purchases.1 point

Not only are the primary builds quite good but the alternates are just as interesting and fun instead of seeming like leftover filler concepts. I am pleasantly impressed to say the least with this year's offerings all of which essentially feel as though there is a fundamental requisite in acquiring three of each to properly build everything together.1 point
