Latest UCS build. Adding the current Tie Fighter. As others have said quite a repetitive and boring build but solid and swooshable and quite impressive when finished. Great minifigure as well.16 points

Since the Snowspeeders were sold out when I went to the Lego Store Thursday, I had to backorder. Was hoping to build it this weekend, so in order to quench my UCS thirst, I broke open the UCS B-Wing I won in @Ed Mack's Christmas Raffle. Its pretty amazing. The real UCS sets are just leaps and bounds above all other SW sets. However, I'm pretty sure the designer had some kind of bet going about how many non-gray pieces he could hide inside this set. There are tons of red, blue, tan, and green parts buried in the guts. Now it's just wait and see how long it takes my wife to notice it's sitting on the foyer table, because I have no other place to put it.14 points

Yes please. I ended up with a total of 16 smaller bionicles. $15 FO Snowspeeders, $12 pegasus Sleigh, $5.60 Bionicles and then some coupons/discounted GCs. The system gave me the $5 back on $25 toys promo, so I'm probably going to have to email for my 75% back...9 points

Busy day. $50 local. Not a huge win, but now I can sell the NIB one I have stashed. Edit: And the kid sold me a used/complete The Mine 21118 for $20 a week ago, so I didn't feel like haggling much.5 points

Guaranteed that she'll notice. All Lego wives have this sixth sense when it comes to new sets being bought home in a clandestine manner5 points

Just fancied building something so I cracked open a 60146 I bought to get free postage on LEGO Shop at Home order. Then decided to mod it to make it more of a street vehicle, kind of like the SUV the extreme sports 4x4 is based on[i5 points

Isn't there an NBA law it has to go to game 7 to maximize ticket sales? When was the last time it didn't go to 7, and how often does that happen?4 points

I built 75171 Battle of Scarif. I really wish it were bigger. My first thought was to break out all my palm tree pieces and go to town, but then I looked at how puny the bunker was. I should have 2 more of these arriving soon. Plenty of pieces to really bust it out.4 points

There's also 15% back on apparel. I was able to snag a Star Wars Celebration Store shirt I didn't have the opportunity to buy when I was there.2 points

Silliness...you are forgetting the entire mental factor of the Warriors choking last year... and losing the first Christmas game. Cavs are in their head plain and simple and that is no easy feat to overcome in the NBA. Lebron is unstoppable, and Kyrie is the NBA's biggest X-factor. Draymond loses his cool again, Steph goes cold as usual in the finals - Cleveland in 62 points

Great score! I ended up having to email SYW about the promo as well. The first person didn't understand the promo but I got an email back later from another rep who understood what was going on. They ended up crediting me the points after 24 hours.1 point

Maybe the Easter Egg Hunt set was $5 in store? People are selling it for $12.90 via FBA; the break-even buy cost would be around $6.45.1 point

Hey, if you can get people to do your homework for you, I ain't gonna judge.1 point

Space Police and Alien Conquest sets don't command a premium on the secondary market. Star Wars, depending on the set, does. In order to get the most out of the collection you will need to put some time in sorting and putting together what's there to see if it's complete or not. If you don't have the time to invest then selling it all as one large bulk lot as is will probably be your best solution, but won't bring as much money as separating the sets. What are the set numbers on the manuels? By knowing what's there to begin with we can let you know if you have any desirable sets worth pulling out and separating. Also, some pictures of the bulk lot would help as well because then we might be able to distinguish certain pieces that go to certain sets.1 point

I got it really cheap from a closing KMart, months ago. It's like the 3rd time it's sold, the first 2 times to people who think I'm Amazon and can ship for free. Plus after last summer's WM clearances I had waaay too much stock, with only one small walk-in closet (where my clothes also live), I need to keep moving stock. I just try to pay for all my collection sets.1 point

Hahahah that's cause I'm from Cali! And we shall see! Should be a good 3rd round of these two regardless. OK back to Kmart points1 point

This morning I sold a used / complete 4842 Hogwarts Castle for $305/shipped on eBay. I purchased it a couple of weeks ago for $150 off of my local Offerup. I also purchased a used / complete 4195 Queen Anne's Revenge for $150 from the same person. The Hogwarts covers the cost of my initial buy in on this transaction, so whatever I sell the Queen Anne for will be pure gravy. I love finding local deals like these, as few and far between as they are.1 point

They have separate buttons for 'Price match' and 'Price adjustment'. There's only 2 reasons they should ever do a price adjustment. One is if the product was sitting in the wrong spot on the shelf so it appears to be cheaper than it is. The second is if the in-store price is not matching the TRU website price. Some stores will balk at even doing this. All other price matching is just that; a price match. Price matching kills all other discounts/coupons except 10% CC on Thursdays. If they say it kills that as well, best practice is to simply call the credit card company and hand your phone to the manager and let them talk to him/her.1 point

I just want to clarify my point. People have every right to make money the best way it suits them, as long as it's legit and honest. All are welcome to use our site. I know some think of LEGO bricks as a commodity, but it is my wish that people who use our site have an appreciation of LEGO bricks and have at least built a set or two. It might be a bit unrealistic or illogical viewpoint, but I believe the long term success of this site and LEGO investing depends on people being fans of the little plastic bricks, not just resellers of them.1 point
