Or you can get an awesome customer service experience. I'm visiting New York, so naturally I had to go to the Rockefeller store (which BTW is a lot smaller than I was expecting). I browse but I'm not planning on buying much since 1) NYC markup and 2) no room in suitcase so I just grabbed the souvenir Statue of Liberty magnet figure with the NYC tile. I see they are still giving out mini VW's so I ask if I can just buy one. The clerk scanned my VIP card and saw I had $30 in points and was impressed by how much I spent to get $30. He said "I see you buy a lot from us so I'm going to go ahead and give you one". Made my day, and I'm already a Lego fan. So I agree, its YMMV on the promos, but the PR value of doing something nice for a customer goes a long way. Just ask United Airlines where putting company policy in front of customer service got them!4 points

It is spring break here in the East and yesterday my family and I spent the day at Antietam National Battlefield in Sharpsburg, MD. It was a wonderful day that was full of history, exploration and was largely technology free! The last shot is Bloody Lane where thousands of Confederate and Union soldiers died on September 17, 1862. While we there we met a man from North Carolina who was there to visit where a relative perished there. It was the least I could do when I took a picture for him.3 points

In case you missed the brief 50% pre-order price on Amazon or TRU recently, Target.com has Goonies Level Pack for $17.99. Have to add it to cart to see the price. Hermione is pre-order at $7.19. The Ghostbusters story pack is $19.79. Back to the Future Level Pack is $11.57 if you have one in your area as it is unavailable to ship. http://www.target.com/s?searchTerm=lego dimensions3 points

Don't stick them on. We never put them on and the ships still look great. Plus if you ever sell it, you got nice a nice minty sticker sheet.2 points

I really like the series "Black Sails". Great actors and love those ships! Not sure if it was already posted but this is a great Black Sails scenery:2 points

I'd like to give away this exclusive allowance to purchase this set to someone who will be there or planning to be there this Sunday to pickup this limited set for 40$. I'm not QFLL'ing this on ebay whatsoever because I just wanted to give this special opportunity to some BP fellow (active member preferably) who will most likely attend to the Orlando SW Celebration Day. 16 of April, Sunday 10AM Open Window. or maybe @Jeff Mack will be interested in redeeming this one for next year charity raffle cause. Please No Swindling. PM me if interested. You will be able to purchase this little set potentially worth some significant amount on second market. "Dear Shewie Congratulations! You have won a chance to purchase a LEGO Exclusive at Star Wars Celebration 2017. Please print your Ticket and bring it with you to the LEGO Booth. You MUST have a valid Star Wars Celebration Orlando Ticket for the day. " This random drawing is for a chance to get a ticket to purchase items at the LEGO booth. • Attendee & Professional badges only. No Exhibitors. • One application per person only. Attendees will not be permitted to attend more than one ticketed session at the LEGO booth during the event • You must have a valid Star Wars Celebration Orlando 2017 badge for any days you select. No exceptions. We will be checking your badge confirmation to ensure that if you win the lottery for a specific day, you have a badge for that corresponding day. • Tickets are awarded randomly for a specific date and time and must be redeemed for that specific session only. No exceptions. • You must bring your ticket to the LEGO booth to be scanned at the time of your session. You will not be allowed to purchase exclusives without your lottery ticket. • There will be a strict limit of one of each item per ticket. • You will not be able to line up at the LEGO booth before your session begins. • Every person in line will require a ticket. No exceptions. ADA attendees must also go through the same process noted above.2 points

You don't have a field in your Excel inventory tracking sheet for seal code? Tsssss ... shame on you! ? Maybe they have a collecting fetish and they want a copy from each producing facility2 points

Absolutely. Anyone can call out a better alternative two years down the road, but the LEGO Movie was all the rage when it came out and really boosted sales of LEGO at the time. It was also when we saw a spike in the number of resellers entering the market so there was massive hoarding that helped keep prices down post retirement.2 points

Probably worth noting that the Lego Movie 2 has been pushed back twice now, into 2018. When people loaded up on 50% Benny’s in ‘14/’15 that wasn’t the plan.2 points

It will probably keep going up over here. The horde is thinning on this one.2 points

Tesco announced their annual profits today and they were significantly up. There was however a note to their accounts that their biggest customer was no longer buying from them, so profits would be well down in the coming year.2 points

That's what gets me about this set, I love it, not just like it, or very fond of it, I actually love it. And if a kid comes into our house and sees it, they go mad for it, not any of the other sets dotted around, they instantly want to play with it. This is so much better than buying another X-Wing, or another Falcon, and I love both of those ships, this was such a cool set and such a throwback to the 80's Space.2 points

I bailed...still have a couple but really thought we would have been here a year ago at this price and pushing $200 by now.2 points

I couldn't help myself...it was too easy. I've got nothing against him. He gave the Pack one solid year. I've got his jersey, and my kids named our cat Lacy (female cat and Packer related name). Now that he's moved on to Seattle I have to rename the damn cat. Anyway, in regards to the original post...at just over $1.00 a figure you can't lose too much, but I don't see any figures that really stand out, so personally I would pass. I don't part out though so someone please correct me if I'm wrong.2 points

Thanks for the read. It will be interesting to see if ebay can rebrand itself as a platform known for providing premium 1-2 day shipping. I have tried to use MCF for ebay but so far shoppers on ebay only care about price rather than customer service or shipping times. That is one huge advantage of Amazon over every other platform for sellers - it's Prime members care about shipping speed and customer service first, price is secondary or even further down the list. Bezos was smart to lock Prime members in with amazon photos, streaming video, and now Echo. I think once 3 hour delivery drops it is going to be walmart, target, best buy etc competing for the scraps.1 point

I just had a talk with my accountant and his position on how to deal with rewards/free GCs etc was as follows: You have 2 options: 1. You do not report the reward points/free GCs as income when you receive them, but then you have to report the cost of your purchases AFTER rewards and GCs when you spend them. 2. You report your points and GCs as income when you receive them (equivalent cash value), and then you can report the purchase price of anything you buy with those points BEFORE rewards. His argumentation was that not reporting when you get them and treating them as cash when you use them amounts to double-dipping. And I can see how that is true ... if you were to do this, do you also report the cost of the mini VW Beetle as $13.99 (or whatever the shelf price is in LLFL) even though you got it for free with a purchase? Sounds dodgy to me.1 point

75158 - Rebel Combat Frigate is all over the place in great numbers at Legoland, FL. It will take a long time to clear these at full price. I'd expect similar performance as 75025.1 point

It's kind-a meh. I had some rewards to burn, which helped, plus combined with the BOGO40% gave me a good discount ($4 for LEGO worth $33 MSRP). Plus that helped me earn another reward (since the pre-promo price (i.e. shelf price) counts towards the reward).1 point

Finally got the Parisian Restaurant and Palace Cinema that I bought with r'us rewards points. This will be my first time diving into the modulars and I am super excited!!!!1 point

Detail on this set is immense. Not surprising that it's a classic and a must have for any modular collector.1 point

Why on Earth would that turn off people outside the USA ? This is a piece of history, when Humanity showed what it can do if it focuses on a single goal and put our vast resources into achieving it! President John F. Kennedy announced in 1961 that before the decade was finished mankind would put a man on the moon. It was a huge undertaking, but America did it, and the entire world was witnessing the Moon landing in awe and excitement. It was not just a huge achievement for the USA but for Mankind, as Neil Armstrong so eloquently said when he took his small step down the ladder onto the surface of the Moon! Too bad I was born in 1971 and so I wasn't yet around to witness it. But knowing that a human walked on the Moon still fills me as a fellow human with pride! And now I just hope to live until the first human sets foot on Mars... To answer the question directly: those words of the United States of America belong on this historic spacecraft and I wouldn't want it any other way!1 point
