At $79.99, this set is worth the risk IMO. It is a well done set, with an awesome box, with a huge fan base. Large Mega Bloks sets do well. This set has a better chance of tripling in value (based on the $80 buy-in) than any current LEGO set I know of.

That set is awesome! I will BL the pieces. It doesn't look like there is anything unique in that set. Just need some instructions.

Some of you may do this already but always jack your listing prices up when shopping stuff into fba until it is confirmed received is in full. The past few weeks fba has lost roughly 33 lego movie emmet, bad cop and wyldstyle keychains and a 42009 technic mkII set. I was reimbursed for the full amount of the listing minus their fees. I had the mkII listed for $424.99 and the keychains at $9.99 each. They also lost 4 hasbro black series storm troopers that I had listed for $29.99 each. Related side note, fba has lost a lot of my stuff lately it seems.

I'm sorry to say this, but there are two options here: 1) you are trolling us. 2) you pick the wrong deals. First your stamps, now these stories. Ok, one more time. Over the last year I have spent approximately $4k to purchase Lego sets for the purpose of selling them in a profitable manner. As of today, I have sold a portion of those sets that I bought. For the sets sold, I received money out of which I had to pay for shipping and sellers fees for sales on Bricklink. The money remaining after paying those fees was $4.2k. I now have completely recovered the amount of money I have spent on Lego sets and am left with $200 and all the unsold sets. The unsold sets have an approximate retail value of $3k. If the kid next door's millionaire granny went 6' under tomorrow and he offered to buy my remaining inventory for asking price I would have sold $7.2k worth of sets with a $4k investment leaving $3.2k of total profit. (PS this kid doesn't exist)

And a blind guy taking down dozens of stormtroopers wielding laser firing guns is unrealistic too.

I understand your dilemma. Unfortunately, Mega Bloks is no LEGO when it comes to quality, but LEGO might not replace parts years after the original sale either. How can a person be positive that LEGO sets sealed with stickers are not tampered with? Let's face it, being a reseller is becoming harder by the day and there are few items that can't be tampered with or be broken and/or incomplete in a sealed box. This has always been an issue with reselling.

just one ninjago lover's opinion here, but dragons forge and the stealth raider were excellent builds and very playable/durable sets. those are great deals on 2 great sets.

As much as the Surfer is a dud of a figure, I like the shark surfboard. My Shark Suit Guy will very much enjoy his new accessory. The Hot Dog Vendor helps complete the Hot Dog Cart color-swap by firing Stephanie and replacing her with this guy (the boy minidoll was replaced in Series 13) Butterfly girl and Rocket boy are really adding to the trick or treaters for the Haunted House I don't yet have and Haunted Mansion/Vampyre Castle ...but I will get a full set for me and extras for the family/kids.
