I've been investing in sets for a few months, but last night I finished my first major build since getting back into Lego. I have a nocturnal baby and a three year old, so I typically only get through a bag of parts a night. Here is Red Five alongside the First Order Tie Fighter that hooked me back in. Now to build the UCS Tie Fighter.8 points

Voicing was excellent in this episode. Thought they did a great job reconciling Ezra and Luke existing and not tipping their hand with Ezra's fate. Left it open. I got the feeling Ezra isn't the first Jedi to visit Ben. Ben is hyper focused on Luke. He's the only solution to the Vader problem. So, makes me wonder. When Yoda says, "no, there is another" - it's not Leia and I don't believe it's Ezra. Makes me lean even more toward Rey.4 points

Baby starts sleeping is a myth. I have a 4 yr old and a 2 yr old hence its been 4 years since I've had any decent sleep unless of course I go away for business. Don't worry you build up a tolerance to lack of sleep!3 points

Yeah, when Obi Wan was talking to Ezra he sounded like Uncle Ben from ANH as supposed to General Kenobi from CW (which I never liked )2 points

REAL collectors will do the leg work to make sure they're not buying a fake item on eBay (not saying they can't be scammed). CHEAP collectors will buy the fake even when the listing says it's compatible with LEGO because they don't give a damn. To say one customer base (eBay vs Amazon) is more edumacated is totally ludicrous. Millions of people shop online now. They are all getting the benefits of googles years of search engine work to find marketplaces and cheap prices. "Uneducated buyer" is a total misnomer these days. Lazy is the word I prefer. Lazy people get scammed on all selling platforms. *edit - just to add that good buyers do get scammed but it's usually by a fraudulent listing rather than being too lazy to read the damn listing and has nothing to do with eBay vs Amazon *2 points

I did my good deed (and pseudo-fruitcake) for the year on Friday, in honor of Saint Padraig... One of my favorite regular customers made me an offer of $15 for a 75099. I decided to counteroffer for less at $13.50. She was nice enough to message me and suggest I may have made a mistake, but I insisted my counteroffer was final and I wouldn't budge1 point

I thought this was interesting and possibly a warning for those that unbox and dump the bags together. I was gathering a few Legolas and I thought I ran into a packaging mistake where an additional head and bow/arrow were in bag #2. Turns out, the way the pieces were split between bags #1 & #2 differed in one box versus two other boxes I opened. Had I not noticed, I would've shipped out a 2-headed Legolas and had a headless one left behind.1 point

Seriously, I have a ton of patience with people on here, but you either lack reading comprehension skills or are being intentionally obtuse. My response to him was simply 'where'. I didn't ask him to track me down pallets at 50% off that I could ship to the US. Simply asked where. I would do the legwork required from that point. If you believe one can't purchase large amounts of stock at a discount over there, you might wanna talk to Tabby. It's done all the time and, again, I just needed to know where he thought these could be grabbed at more than 50% off in 8 months. Just because YOU don't know where or how it can be done doesn't mean the rest of us aren't doing it. Theoretically, you should be able to fit at least 32 of these in a 24" box, 2 rows of eight on the bottom, same on top. I'm guessing you could squeeze them in a smaller box, but let's run with 24". These weigh 12oz each, so we're looking at about 25 pounds. One of my intl shipping companies quoted me $164 US to ship that to the US, all inclusive. At 50% off, these are $14.99 GPB, which is approx $18.33 USD. So, to get 32 of these shipped to the US, I'm looking at approx $750. That's $23.50 each. Of the approx 300 stores I search daily, the cheapest I've ever seen these in stock is $21 and I've only gotten 6 at that price. These are currently $35 and they're not even retired yet. I'm not sure they will climb dramatically IN THE UK which is why I asked where you're thinking they might languish for the next 8 months. But appears our friends across the pond are either worried we're going to ruin their LEGO business by hoarding all of their King's Mechs or they don't understand a global economy.1 point
