  1. I live in KY so we had Hills obviously. 74.97 was the price tag. PPP for lego is pretty consistent if not cheaper now. I took immaculate care of my stuff when I was kid. From Lego boxes, to Nintendo boxes, to really anything I wanted it pristine and mint. I remember having the people at Electronics Boutique bring all the boxes for a game out and letting me choose the best box. Thank God something appreciated as my Star Trek collection, baseball cards and beanie babies are worthless. Again, apologize if off topic but found another box of stuff. PPP was unbelievably high. Some boxes are 7.47 for 50 total pieces. Forgot how expensive lego was back then. And Legos NEVER went on sale either. I had to mow a lot of lawns to buy this stuff. Random note: Finally hit 100 posts. Should have had the Barracuda been my 100th.

  2. Been a while since I posted. Life has gotten busy and I am on the road less, so I have less free time... as strange as that may sound. Either way, technically didn't buy it today, But my parents are selling their house and I was cleaning out some old stuff and look what I found with my beanie babies and baseball cards.

  3. Just got this email today from TRU. If you're in need of minifigures, this might be worth a look.

  6. I don't know if this has already been reported, but there are also buyers that are having their purchases sent to a 3rd party shipping company. I had a return request yesterday that I denied from a buyer who claimed the item arrived to them yesterday damaged. Tracking says that it arrived 2 weeks ago. I looked up the address, and it was a freight forwarding company. I called eBay, and they told me that if they can verify the shipping address as a shipping company, the buyer protection is void. Just another thing to be weary of as a seller.

  9. This set has very limited customers base. For children it is expensive + horrible playable options (very fragile construction), AFOLs - 80% of pirates fans (including me) dont like this set. Also it has a limited potential as investment - I cannot imagine how will somebody pay 300 eur and more for such wreck in the future. If they wanted to have a scary ship, they could do something like this flying dutchman:

  13. Sold a 7661 Starfighter with Hyperdrive Booster Ring. Picked it up in a bulk lot last July, lot calculated to $20.40. Sold on ebay for $110 + $12 shipping.......350%+ margin for the win! #FeelsGoodMan!

  16. Just picked this up recently myself (for AUD$135!), standalone it looks pretty good IMO. It just doesn't display terribly well with other UCS sets- the proportions of it are just a little too different for my liking. Stickers are worth it if you can wrangle a set- I bought a set of instructions off Bricklink and a new set of them fell out, so I'm a happy camper

  19. I finally got the chance to finish up the UCS Imperial Shuttle 10212 that I picked up used a while back. I really enjoyed the build and the finished product. It is as large as expected and the use of snot pieces makes its final look a lot cleaner than the IST. If you have been thinking about picking one up for your UCS or SW collection I highly recommend it! So...what should we build next? We have 10186 UCS General Grievous, 10198 Tantive IV Anniversary Edition, 75021 Republic Gunship, and 10227 UCS B-Wing Starfighter in the queue. Which do y'all recommend we start with? (I will be building it with my 6 and 8 year old.)

  21. That's why I used the word "might" :). This one annoys me too ... I get this about once a week, and it never pays the promised $5, nor do I win anything in the associated Instant Win game .....

  22. I was on a short business trip to Vancouver, BC this week. Noted a couple of deals at the TRU on W Broadway. Plenty of stock of 41135's Livi's House. In store pickup of $41.97 CAD (30% off). It's impossible to find these in the US, and when they are available on Amazon, they are typically $40 USD (20% off RRP). With the current conversion rate, that's a great flip opportunity. Plenty of stock of 75904's Scooby Doo Mystery Mansion. Not showing in stock online, but there were plenty on the shelf. But the one noteworthy sale was the Disney Minifigs discounted to $2.38 CAD each. If I was into minifig sales, I might have swept these myself. I wish my trip would have been more than a few days so I'd brought more than a tiny carry-on bag. I'm also jealous that you can buy the 102XX sets from within the store (via the display catalog). I can only source these on the U.S. website so no in-store coupons or 10% CC days apply.

  31. This is Yoda. I did not actually build him, but this is what happens, if he is highly in use as a key chain to spread the force for six months. It seems he turns into some sort of Micky Mouse.

  36. Great story - thanks for sharing. The lengths people go through to scam you/me/corporations is amazing. The thing is, by the time the money lost to scams like this is substantial enough for Amazon to really do something about it, it is already too late and the marketplace will have been redflagged by buyers and sellers as too risky. They should take action now to prevent this from becoming a too big problem in the future. The problem is that this realization will likely hit the top echelon when it's already too late ....

  37. Thought it sounded familiar. I saw that one the other day but held off as it was a smaller lot and heading up to Omaha and back is a couple hours of the day. Pics didn't show much either so I passed. Had it been in Lincoln I would've definitely checked out. I've had really good luck with lots that size, especially Harry Potter ones. Hope you do well with it.
