  1. I live in KY so we had Hills obviously. 74.97 was the price tag. PPP for lego is pretty consistent if not cheaper now. I took immaculate care of my stuff when I was kid. From Lego boxes, to Nintendo boxes, to really anything I wanted it pristine and mint. I remember having the people at Electronics Boutique bring all the boxes for a game out and letting me choose the best box. Thank God something appreciated as my Star Trek collection, baseball cards and beanie babies are worthless. Again, apologize if off topic but found another box of stuff. PPP was unbelievably high. Some boxes are 7.47 for 50 total pieces. Forgot how expensive lego was back then. And Legos NEVER went on sale either. I had to mow a lot of lawns to buy this stuff. Random note: Finally hit 100 posts. Should have had the Barracuda been my 100th.
  2. Been a while since I posted. Life has gotten busy and I am on the road less, so I have less free time... as strange as that may sound. Either way, technically didn't buy it today, But my parents are selling their house and I was cleaning out some old stuff and look what I found with my beanie babies and baseball cards.
  3. Just got this email today from TRU. If you're in need of minifigures, this might be worth a look.
  4. My wife and son just finished the Disney Castle. I've never been a "castle" guy but this set is impressive.
  5. Your world is a very dark world.

I don't know if this has already been reported, but there are also buyers that are having their purchases sent to a 3rd party shipping company. I had a return request yesterday that I denied from a buyer who claimed the item arrived to them yesterday damaged. Tracking says that it arrived 2 weeks ago. I looked up the address, and it was a freight forwarding company. I called eBay, and they told me that if they can verify the shipping address as a shipping company, the buyer protection is void. Just another thing to be weary of as a seller.
  7. Check this out: LEGO Technic 42055 Bucket Wheel Excavator Building Kit (3929 Piece)... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CU9X8AC/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_awdb_iwXYybCZSJP4Y $198.29

Thanks! I was able to get one for my son for local pickup. He's going to love this!
  9. This set has very limited customers base. For children it is expensive + horrible playable options (very fragile construction), AFOLs - 80% of pirates fans (including me) dont like this set. Also it has a limited potential as investment - I cannot imagine how will somebody pay 300 eur and more for such wreck in the future. If they wanted to have a scary ship, they could do something like this flying dutchman:
  10. I'll wait for Silent Mary to assault Hoth at 50% off.
  11. We still foot the bill in the long run. Amazon, ebay, and paypal are only going to pass it back to us in increased fees.
  12. "raise price 10%, advertise 20% off " Good ole TRU trickery. Figures are worth a look though.

Sold a 7661 Starfighter with Hyperdrive Booster Ring. Picked it up in a bulk lot last July, lot calculated to $20.40. Sold on ebay for $110 + $12 shipping.......350%+ margin for the win! #FeelsGoodMan!
  14. At legoland Florida, free with $30 Lego batman movie purchase. Go, @donbee, go!!!
  15. Nice job! When they aren't looking fix the flags sorry it's my OCD
  16. Just picked this up recently myself (for AUD$135!), standalone it looks pretty good IMO. It just doesn't display terribly well with other UCS sets- the proportions of it are just a little too different for my liking. Stickers are worth it if you can wrangle a set- I bought a set of instructions off Bricklink and a new set of them fell out, so I'm a happy camper
  17. Deal or no deal? Walmart has LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Spider-Man: Doc Ock's Tentacle Trap, 76059 for $21.95 https://www.walmart.com/ip/LEGO-Marvel-Super-Heroes-Spider-Man-Doc-Ock-s-Tentacle-Trap-76059/51720897?u1=&oid=223073.76059&wmlspartner=36kdGSXvwNE&sourceid=00214415971868574092&affillinktype=2&veh=aff
  18. My SDCC collection keeps growing!
  19. I finally got the chance to finish up the UCS Imperial Shuttle 10212 that I picked up used a while back. I really enjoyed the build and the finished product. It is as large as expected and the use of snot pieces makes its final look a lot cleaner than the IST. If you have been thinking about picking one up for your UCS or SW collection I highly recommend it! So...what should we build next? We have 10186 UCS General Grievous, 10198 Tantive IV Anniversary Edition, 75021 Republic Gunship, and 10227 UCS B-Wing Starfighter in the queue. Which do y'all recommend we start with? (I will be building it with my 6 and 8 year old.)
  20. Not sure if it's been mentioned, but there's a 20 points back on $40 promotion/coupon at Kmart. Could be a good deal with the new Star Wars sets. Additionally, the new sets aren't marked as Hot Buy, so you can stack additional dollar off coupons. I was able to get 2 Carbon-Freezing Sets, 75137, for about 45 with 20 in points back (had a 5 off 35 toys coupon I was also able to use). If you want to apply the coupons manually, just copy the code: Go to the mobile coupons page, copy long number string, paste in apply a code box. 21. yah, retailmenot. their storage coupon (25132) worked for me on tuesday, but just checked and it dont work no more. now they have 5 off 30 (16616)
  22. Cardpool is worst. They send emails with "new discounts on brand gift cards" as title but the email simply list the current rates they offer for their gc
  23. I get those all the time, "New coupons have arrived!" I already got the same email on Monday...
  24. It might be regional. I went to 2 Kmart stores yesterday, neither had the sign up. I spent more than $30 at each store on non clearance sets but I did not see any additional pending points on my account. I did used coupons and points on both purchases
  25. I'd like to be the first to point out, that is not 24 hours after purchase.
  26. Slap a UCS Emblem on it!
  27. Hmm, a ghost ship attacking Hoth echo base could be a fun little episode for Rebels TV show. Disney owns both franchises so it could happen The Ghost vs actual ghost ship
  28. I would wait for 50 % discount + the price of the zombies and sharks on bricklink must be over 50 eur. Because the rest of the set is just a garbage, including the non-zombie figs. Otherwise I f**k this bad joke.
  29. Silent Mary available from tomorrow for VIP customers only, but first come first serve because they will have very limited amount in London, 1 per customer only.
  30. Not sure if I'm missing something here... I've read this thread over a few times... I see a lot of reports about scammers getting their product for free, but the sellers - for the most part - have been protected by eBay / Paypal. Sure there were a couple posts about sellers "getting scammed out of" an expensive set, but the posters didn't elaborate much on who paid the bill. And yes, some have posted that it took a couple phone calls, and " an hour" of their precious time to get their money back from Paypal... my violin plays for you. But until you've been ripped off selling on Amazon (like I have), most of your stories look like a "win" to me. Sure we love our precious Lego sets, and hate it when a scammer gets them for free, but it hurts a lot less when Paypal pays the bill. I sold 18 valuable sets (over US$100) on Amazon during the holiday season, and was scammed on 2 of them. That percentage loss is way to high for me. Amazon took my money, sided with the buyers, and ruined my selling metrics, despite my following every rule in Amazon's book. After much effort, I was able to (arbitrarily) get one of them reversed, but still lost the other. And by "reversed" I mean I got my money back, but am still carrying the black mark on my metrics. Since then I've stopped selling high dollar items on Amazon. My eBay account had been asleep for months, but In the past six weeks, I've sold 19 items on eBay, (range $20 - $500, avg. about $150 each). If the shipping screen says "eligible for seller protection", I box it up and ship it out immediately, and have never rested easier. If I had sold these items on Amazon, I might have made 5 or 10% more on each sale, but all it takes is one Amazon "buyer" to claim the Town Hall I sent them was fake, and I'm out $400, and (potentially) get my Amazon account shut down for life. For me, the best place to sell is is eBay (I've never tried selling on BL).
  31. I get those too all the time. IIRC the fine-print says that the coupon only works once per account. A little bit like my $15 back on $15 coupons - they only work once per account, but I've received 7 of them so far. You'd think it would be easy to program something to limit the issuance of so many coupons, but hey, it's KMart ....

3 OOS winners at SAH Canada. Temple of Airjitzu, Ghostbursers HQ and Assembly Place, with a bit more than 24 hours remaining....
  33. The minifig market is saturated with this set, but since it parts out 2x w/o minifigs for BL sellers it's still good I cant imagine going wrong at this price for a 450 piece spiderman set. IMO

That MOC is gorgeous, and the smile on my face right now is as big as Benny's!
  35. Here's some stuff Brickset is missing listing 75181. It's not a Last Jedi set nor does it seem to be an exclusive. Maybe this is the supposed Falcon.
  36. When your prices are so low even Toywiz is buying from you ? (I know I've heard that they have bought from other sellers on here, but I thought it was pretty funny)
  37. Another Cinderella.. another minifig to drop in value.
  38. Amazon just passes on these losses to 3P sellers in fees and commissions . They don't pay sh*t from their own pocket . Suck it up buttercup is more like it

  43. From todays B&N event. I had fun tweaking these.
