  1. I live in KY so we had Hills obviously. 74.97 was the price tag. PPP for lego is pretty consistent if not cheaper now. I took immaculate care of my stuff when I was kid. From Lego boxes, to Nintendo boxes, to really anything I wanted it pristine and mint. I remember having the people at Electronics Boutique bring all the boxes for a game out and letting me choose the best box. Thank God something appreciated as my Star Trek collection, baseball cards and beanie babies are worthless. Again, apologize if off topic but found another box of stuff. PPP was unbelievably high. Some boxes are 7.47 for 50 total pieces. Forgot how expensive lego was back then. And Legos NEVER went on sale either. I had to mow a lot of lawns to buy this stuff. Random note: Finally hit 100 posts. Should have had the Barracuda been my 100th.
  2. Been a while since I posted. Life has gotten busy and I am on the road less, so I have less free time... as strange as that may sound. Either way, technically didn't buy it today, But my parents are selling their house and I was cleaning out some old stuff and look what I found with my beanie babies and baseball cards.
  3. Just got this email today from TRU. If you're in need of minifigures, this might be worth a look.
  4. My wife and son just finished the Disney Castle. I've never been a "castle" guy but this set is impressive.
  5. Your world is a very dark world.

I don't know if this has already been reported, but there are also buyers that are having their purchases sent to a 3rd party shipping company. I had a return request yesterday that I denied from a buyer who claimed the item arrived to them yesterday damaged. Tracking says that it arrived 2 weeks ago. I looked up the address, and it was a freight forwarding company. I called eBay, and they told me that if they can verify the shipping address as a shipping company, the buyer protection is void. Just another thing to be weary of as a seller.
  7. Check this out: LEGO Technic 42055 Bucket Wheel Excavator Building Kit (3929 Piece)... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CU9X8AC/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_awdb_iwXYybCZSJP4Y $198.29

Thanks! I was able to get one for my son for local pickup. He's going to love this!
  9. This set has very limited customers base. For children it is expensive + horrible playable options (very fragile construction), AFOLs - 80% of pirates fans (including me) dont like this set. Also it has a limited potential as investment - I cannot imagine how will somebody pay 300 eur and more for such wreck in the future. If they wanted to have a scary ship, they could do something like this flying dutchman:
  10. I'll wait for Silent Mary to assault Hoth at 50% off.
  11. We still foot the bill in the long run. Amazon, ebay, and paypal are only going to pass it back to us in increased fees.
  12. "raise price 10%, advertise 20% off " Good ole TRU trickery. Figures are worth a look though.

Sold a 7661 Starfighter with Hyperdrive Booster Ring. Picked it up in a bulk lot last July, lot calculated to $20.40. Sold on ebay for $110 + $12 shipping.......350%+ margin for the win! #FeelsGoodMan!
  14. At legoland Florida, free with $30 Lego batman movie purchase. Go, @donbee, go!!!
  15. Nice job! When they aren't looking fix the flags sorry it's my OCD
  16. Just picked this up recently myself (for AUD$135!), standalone it looks pretty good IMO. It just doesn't display terribly well with other UCS sets- the proportions of it are just a little too different for my liking. Stickers are worth it if you can wrangle a set- I bought a set of instructions off Bricklink and a new set of them fell out, so I'm a happy camper
  17. Deal or no deal? Walmart has LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Spider-Man: Doc Ock's Tentacle Trap, 76059 for $21.95 https://www.walmart.com/ip/LEGO-Marvel-Super-Heroes-Spider-Man-Doc-Ock-s-Tentacle-Trap-76059/51720897?u1=&oid=223073.76059&wmlspartner=36kdGSXvwNE&sourceid=00214415971868574092&affillinktype=2&veh=aff
  18. My SDCC collection keeps growing!
  19. I finally got the chance to finish up the UCS Imperial Shuttle 10212 that I picked up used a while back. I really enjoyed the build and the finished product. It is as large as expected and the use of snot pieces makes its final look a lot cleaner than the IST. If you have been thinking about picking one up for your UCS or SW collection I highly recommend it! So...what should we build next? We have 10186 UCS General Grievous, 10198 Tantive IV Anniversary Edition, 75021 Republic Gunship, and 10227 UCS B-Wing Starfighter in the queue. Which do y'all recommend we start with? (I will be building it with my 6 and 8 year old.)
  20. Tons sitting on the shelves at my local TRUs. I'm not buying at that price.
  21. Sounds like it's time for a road trip! Every time the CEO tries to get out, they pull ya back in!
  22. Thanks for the mention. Was looking for a way to pick these up cheaper. With TRUTH I was able to pick up 70+ batman minifigs for $2.70 a piece. Store still had previous season (yellow packaging), and also Disney minifigs.
  23. That's why I used the word "might" :). This one annoys me too ... I get this about once a week, and it never pays the promised $5, nor do I win anything in the associated Instant Win game .....
  24. I was on a short business trip to Vancouver, BC this week. Noted a couple of deals at the TRU on W Broadway. Plenty of stock of 41135's Livi's House. In store pickup of $41.97 CAD (30% off). It's impossible to find these in the US, and when they are available on Amazon, they are typically $40 USD (20% off RRP). With the current conversion rate, that's a great flip opportunity. Plenty of stock of 75904's Scooby Doo Mystery Mansion. Not showing in stock online, but there were plenty on the shelf. But the one noteworthy sale was the Disney Minifigs discounted to $2.38 CAD each. If I was into minifig sales, I might have swept these myself. I wish my trip would have been more than a few days so I'd brought more than a tiny carry-on bag. I'm also jealous that you can buy the 102XX sets from within the store (via the display catalog). I can only source these on the U.S. website so no in-store coupons or 10% CC days apply.
  25. I like how I get an email with a pot o gold surprise point reward, and when it shows me my win it's just the points I already had :/
  26. It might be regional. I went to 2 Kmart stores yesterday, neither had the sign up. I spent more than $30 at each store on non clearance sets but I did not see any additional pending points on my account. I did used coupons and points on both purchases
  27. Hmm, a ghost ship attacking Hoth echo base could be a fun little episode for Rebels TV show. Disney owns both franchises so it could happen The Ghost vs actual ghost ship
  28. Finally... but I told my wife I wouldn't make any more trips for a little while. And you have to buy $30 batman movie Lego... I don't know if I can do that.
  29. And then we waited too long ... WWW disappeared from Sweeps just now, even though it says it still has 3hrs to go. I still have it open in one of my browsers but it says "Something has gone wrong" when I try to play it.
  30. Talked me into buying 5.

This is Yoda. I did not actually build him, but this is what happens, if he is highly in use as a key chain to spread the force for six months. It seems he turns into some sort of Micky Mouse.

  33. I want them bagged in sets of 7 please. Facing back to back, so they don't accidentally copulate. Thank you.
  34. Another Cinderella.. another minifig to drop in value.
  35. Great story - thanks for sharing. The lengths people go through to scam you/me/corporations is amazing. The thing is, by the time the money lost to scams like this is substantial enough for Amazon to really do something about it, it is already too late and the marketplace will have been redflagged by buyers and sellers as too risky. They should take action now to prevent this from becoming a too big problem in the future. The problem is that this realization will likely hit the top echelon when it's already too late ....
  36. Another UCS set knocked off. Will probably be the last for a few months unfortunately, now that work has started to ramp up.
  37. From todays B&N event. I had fun tweaking these.
  38. My SAH order arrived. I ordered Monday when w/ double VIP points.
  39. Anybody find this one yet? My kids would love this. Should make a Ninjago one too.
  40. My receipts get stuck in that bottom taped box gap all the time. My posters have also arrived pretty crinkly.
  41. I'm New to Brickpicker and happy to say I'm impressed with this site. i posted some pics if you want to check them out?
  42. Hey all, I'm from Germany and 30 years old. As a kid I was a total LEGO addict, but who wasn't? Had a lot of the old space themes, some castles and western too. In early december i got a giftcard and decided to pick a nice LEGO set as deco, then i realized what marvelous sets exist. Some more googling and i found this site which got me into lego investing. Looking forward to lern a lot from this community.
  43. If this is true I'm in for 75. This will be a sleeper flying under the radar. We've never seen anything like this. Mark my words. Hot cakes.
